      On January 26, 2024 I entered the La Petite Academy in *********, ** to conduct a visit on behalf of the ************************************. I was not allowed to park in handicap spot that I have a legal right to by a ***** truck that was delivering packages. The truck was parked directly in front of the center, across 2 handicap parking spaces.When I tried to address this concern with the director of the center, I was was met with a dismissing demeaner but once she learned who I was she changed her tune. This individual did not make sure I was able to access the handicap space as she found the truck parked across two handicap spaces and the driver refusing my request to move was appropriate.

      This daycare has been negligent and unsanitary my son has been out of daycare for almost a month now because he caught norovirus, a food-borne illness in their care and hasnt been able to hold food down. A week prior to him catching this virus the day care also had hands foot and mouth that I informed them about and when he returned they claimed they had no idea he was one of the children infected. In the corse of the three weeks of him being sick he has lost 5 pounds. The day that he caught the infection he threw up 4 times with horrible diarrhea and not only was it not put into his notes in the portal, but they didnt contact us to let us know. The daycare continues to reach out for money but not once have they called to ask why **** has not been in for three weeks. Both of these viruses could have been prevented with proper cleaning and hand washing especially when dealing with babies.

      My son attended this daycare for nearly a year when he ended up being kicked out due to his aggression and behavior since he has autism. We have tried putting him in a medical daycare, but between his primary care physician and the medical daycare, they have both said that he belongs in a regular daycare. We have contacted this institution to see what can we do to get him back in the regular daycare since no other place can take him and the corporate office stated that he needed an HHA present in order to attend any of their facilities. After months of talking to different care facilities, we have gotten him approved with an HHA to care for him after school. A year has gone by and our son has been doing very good so we went back to the la petite institution and they said she can come back with an HHA any time. We submitted the paperwork to apply for a transfer so that the HHA can start to care for him in the institution per corporates request, only to find out that this location listed him as unsafe even with an HHA and he can never attend the institution again. He hasn’t been to the La Petit in a year, for them to say he is still unsafe even with the home health aid that they require us to have sounds like discrimination and we will be contacting the county clerk and all social media outlets.
