I've been with InCharge Debt Solutions since July 2020, entrusting them with managing 4 credit cards under a 49-month program. All was well until credit card companies began flagging missed payments due to a surprise account closure by InCharge 36 months into the 49 months agreement. Not only did this lead to unpaid accounts and late fees, but also a likely blow to my credit score.
InCharge’s response? A mere two phone calls and one letter to an outdated address within a single week. Not a single email, no follow-up communication, and absolutely no opportunity for me to correct the upcoming situation or even be informed of the closure. Their approach reflects a startling neglect for due diligence and an absolute disregard for my financial health.
It is a haunting prospect to think that I could have remained oblivious to InCharge's terminated services for months had my credit card companies not alerted me. It's distressing to witness a company, responsible for managing debt affecting credit scores, halt services without ensuring thorough customer communication.
Being an IT Support professional, I can attest to the standard practice of multiple outreach attempts across diverse platforms before closing a ticket. Even for minor issues, our protocol involves leaving a voicemail, sending an email, a text message, and an instant message, all over a period of time to account for potential absences. It's startling to observe that InCharge failed to meet this elementary standard when handling something as critical as my financial future.
In summary, my experience with InCharge Debt Solutions has become profoundly unsatisfactory. Their lack of effective communication, sudden account closure, and apathy towards customer trust and financial security is deeply concerning. I strongly advise potential customers to consider these shortcomings before entrusting InCharge with their financial stability.InCharge Debt Solutions

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to speak with you over the phone on 8/1/2023 and discuss what had transpired on your account. More importantly, we thank you for allowing us to be of service to you, as you move closer to achieving your financial dreams. However, we are sorry to have received this feedback because it is important to us that you achieve your financial goal. Our records show that on 4/18/23 and 5/18/23, which are respectively 60 days and 30 days before the Debt Management Program (DMP) closed, letters were mailed to you explaining that your agreement must be renewed and requested that you fill out the required documentation. On 5/22/23, the letter mailed in April was returned by the Post Office indicating that the mail was undeliverable. Following the undeliverable mail, one of our representatives called and left voice messages on 6/9/23 and 6/13/23 requesting you to contact us. We did not receive any callback from you which resulted in the closure of the DMP on 7/26/23. We do not see that the representative attempted to contact you through email and we will share this opportunity with the relevant department as feedback. Additionally, we would like to stress the importance of keeping your mailing address updated to be kept informed through all communication channels.
We are hopeful that our response brings clarity to what occurred. Should you have any questions or would like to discuss anything further, do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have much to say and limited characters so let me jump right in.
They told me over the phone they will try to negotiate lower rates for me in my payments due to my current work situation. They over the recorded phone call told me they would lock or freeze accounts until they are paid off and then they would unlock them after the debts were paid off to be used. Instead, they closed all my accounts and I cannot reopen my accounts. I lost all my cards and their limits that were built up from having good standing credit over the years until an incident at work which hurt me financially (I recovered now less than a year later and am doing much much better financially).
I attempted contact with them multiple times and they didn't respond, and then when i continued to attempt contact it just went to a dialtone immediately after dialing as if my number was blocked or black listed. They have done terrible things to my accounts and history on it I don't recommend this company to anyone. All they do is try to manage which account gets your money and when it gets your money. This is easily done by yourself, you don't need them for anything, you all are smart enough to manage your accounts, call your credit card companies if you struggle and they will help you and consult you on recommendations. Do anything but use this company.
I made my first 213 payment, they put 43 to my discover and then on the 1st of the next month made a 1 dollar payment to discover again. With that 213 they only made 1 23 dollar payment to my capital one account. Where did the rest of the money go? they did want a 75 dollar start up charge, sure, they said there wasn't a monthly charge just a 1 time fee of 75 and it would be separate from the payments of 213. So even factoring in a 75 dollar charge.. I'm confused to where this money went. They probably took it for all I know.
I am collecting data from companies to seek legal action. FRAUD COMPANY; DON'T USE!!!!!InCharge Debt Solutions

InCharge’s Mission is to help consumers achieve financial balance, moving them closer to their dreams and we are sorry to hear that we did not meet this expectation for you. An attempt was made to speak with you directly on 7/26/23 and we could only leave you a voice message. Our records show that during the counseling session you completed in March 2023, our credit counselor provided you a walkthrough on how our service works for you as a client. This included giving you an explanation that your enrolled creditors will close your accounts to establish the benefits of a lower payment and interest rates. Making a commitment to financial discipline is key. When you’re enrolled in a debt management program, creditors require you to close your credit cards so as not to incur additional debt. The information that was shared with you during your counseling session can be found in your client agreement.
With regards to the payment you made through our program, our records do show that the funds were disbursed to all your enrolled creditors as of 3/28/23. However, there was one creditor that did not clear their payment we sent them. As a result, an $89.00 refund was mailed to you on 6/20/23. That payment was returned to us by the Post Office with a forwarding address on 7/14/23, therefore we will process the refund to the forwarding address.
Lastly, our records do not show inbound contact being made by the telephone number we have for you on file. However, you may have attempted to call us after business hours which would result in the reason you could not reach our Client Services department. Please know that our Client Services department is available at (888) 734-6229 Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm EST.
We are hopeful that this response addresses your concerns. Additionally, we will be emailing you separately a copy of your client agreement, the refund letter and a full accounting statement showing all payments you have made through InCharge. Should you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to contact us directly.
Sincerely,
InCharge Debt Solutions
