I'm writing this today as a warning to other senior citizens like myself to be very careful when dealing with Ferran Services. I hired Ferran many years ago to service my monthly maintenance of my air conditioning system at my home in Orange County Florida. I was aways happy with the monthly service and didn't see any reason not to have them install a electrical outlet. I've since cancelled their service because of them taking advantage of my ignorance. I was happy with the service they provided until I asked them to install an outside power outlet on my garage. This is where the nightmare begins. We agreed to a price to install this service on my garage outside wall. The workers were wonderful. They were fast and cleaned up after themselves. At first the wall outlet did not work as they wired it backwards. When I brought this to their attention, they fixed the issue right away. However, when I called to complain that not enough power is coming from the connection, they wanted to charge me another $170.00 an hour to troubleshoot the issue. I was reluctant to agree to this extra charge, but I did. Thank God they never showed up to trouble shoot issue or it would of cost me hundreds more. It cost me just under $1,400 for this one installed outlet that doesn't work. The reason I haven't complained within the first year of the install of outlet is because I didn't own my RV until months after the install. And didn't realize it didn't work until I plugged into it. Being a senior on a fixed income, it took almost my entire monthly income to pay for their service of the installed outlet. I cannot hire another electrician to fix the issue and will go without the outlet. I'm embarrassed that I was taken advantage of and didn't want to say anything. But I thought there must be other seniors out there that they might take advantage of just like they did me. If I can prevent them from doing this to one other senior, then it's well worth my embarrassment.

We take issue with the unfounded discrimination accusation
and claim from our long time, valued client, Mr **  We are equally
disappointed that, based on a phone call with a busy customer service
representative (non-tradesperson), he chose to end a long relationship without
an attempt to speak with the estimator who visited his home, supervisor or a
manager.  It is our company policy to to leave our customers “whole” in
each and every transaction which applies to all clients equally.  No one
employed by Ferran makes a commission; there is no incentive to upsell or
complete a sale without full transparency and integrity.  This claim
regarding seniors against our Ferran Family is groundless and a complete
departure from our Corporate Culture and Core Values.

      Timeline:
We were engaged March of 2022 to install a circuit/outlet in
advance of a potential RV purchase.  Mr *.’s choices were a 30A 120/240v
or a 50A 120/240v or a Universal, the latter of which would have covered either
rquirement at a considerably higher cost.  There are cords available to
adapt the 50A to 30A if needed for about $25.00, for RV owners this is fairly
common knowledge. Mr D opted to contract for the “30A 120V dedicated circuit
from the existing exterior main panel through the attic into extrerior garage
area and installation of a TT-30R for the RV”.  (This was not just “a
plug” and we stand by our pricing.) Based on the claim, Mr * ended up
purchasing an RV much later which required more amperage than was
installed.  This is in no way the fault of our estimator who was working
with unknowns yet Ferran would have helped get him where he needed to be
regardless had we been given the opportunity to do so.

Our corporate mantra is Work Hard, Be Kind, plain and
simple; we only have one way of treating our clients, that is with respect and
integrity.  Our electrical department includes a valued member who is
eighty-four years old and has been with us for more than a decade.  We
appreciate the fact that you became your own advocate in a situation you
perceived as untenable, is the crucial role the BBB plays for consumers and
admirable.  Unfortunately, we were not given any real opportunity to
resolve this prior to and, in the midst of advocating for yourself, you chose
to tarnish the reputation of a company whom, by your own admission, has treated
      you very well for years.

      Resolution:
Despite Ferran having provided exactly what was contracted
for, Mr D will be receiving a full refund.  In leaving him whole, we will
have treated him with the respect we were not afforded as we part ways.

While our recollection of a year ago does not align with Mr.
*’s, our goal is not to be “right” (talk) rather to do the right thing (action).
In his claim, Mr. * requested a refund of the contracted amount to resolve his
negative experience which we immediately provided.
