    This is an offense around four years in the making. Like other complaints I initially hired ***************************, to handle mainly the illustrations portion but partially the writing obligations as well. Over time, weve gone back and forth with them periodically asking for more money for supporting costs (ie: ****** account set-up, isbn numbers, author registration fees, etc.), I also paid for celebrity endorsement of my books (5 book collection), for which I received no results (celebrity never endorsed). I do have what is supposed to be the completed files of my project (not in the ready to publish format). Lost money aside, I would have been happy with them just following through to the completion and registration of my project.

    Continued spam calls and texts from this scam ghostwriting business despite numerous requests for removal and FCC reports.

    On February 21, 2023 I was contacted by Ghostwriting Venture, offering to write my autobiography for $4000. I accepted because I have wanted to write it for some time. The agreement that they provided me was that I would pay a $4000 one-time fee, no further charges and 100% satisfaction guaranteed. In the last 42 days they have told me to send an additional $20, 500 in extra charges, and yesterday I received 24 pages of Google Dictation from the recording that I provided them. My daughter called on my behalf to cancel and ask for my money back, and “David B****”, who I have been working with refused. I am 80-years old and my daughter let them know that they have been taking advantage of an elderly man, and she also filed a police report. She has also stated that she will contact her attorney to file charges if necessary. I would be satisfied to just get my money back at this point, but I do want everyone to know that this company, and specifically David B**** is a fraud and a scam. Any help I can get would be appreciated.

    David B**** collected money for 2 celebrities to do a video endorsement of my book Spiritual Warfare in October for 2100 and the service has not been provided. He keeps giving me fake news. I want my money to be returned in full since the service has not been provided. I will get my lawyer involve if I do not get the money returned. I am not interested in any service he wants to offer.

    I purchased their Services back in May of 2021 - services were to include "Ghostwriting" and Publishing of my book to Amazon.
    They never did any Ghostwriting, mostly just reviewing my previously written text. Then after several months of Silence, they contacted me again, in Jun 2022 - looking for more money - and we re-engaged in an effort to complete the book they "Supposedly" started the Year before but never completed. During the next several weeks we again passed emails back and forth, I was given a 3rd Project manager and I was asked for Book 2 fees, but I wouldn't give them more than $1,250 to "As They Put it", keep the writing team I was currently working with, After Several more months, they still can not produce a Single Chapter of Written material and again have gone silent. I've asked for a refund, as their website indicates 100% money-back guarantee, but no answer at the phone number and no reply to my emails. They say they are in Florida, however, behavior and writing style indicates the writers and people I'm talking to are over sea's - possibly India. (Every Phone call has a Satellite Echo delay, and phrasing in their writing indicates English as a Second language.
    I'm not sure this isn't a VERY LARGE Scam - or this company is not a real company.

    This is to inform you that, upon the request of Mr. ******** we'd already issued the refund for his 2nd Book and he has confirmed the receipt of it as well, moreover, for the 1st Book he paid $ 4,250.00 and the team is still in correspondence with him and delivering the works as per his request, and we have the complete trails of his email communication with our project managers, and if we were scammers then why should we refund the 2nd book payment on his request, and he had already asked our team to work in his 1st book instead of refunding the amount, you can check his recent communication in the attached PDF file, if you want see his detailed communication with our team during the entire year I would love to share that with you.

    Yes they refunded 1,250 for "Book2" -as the email they sent you - they have NOT RESPONDED to the request to change the Work BOOK to BOOK2 in the official refund paperwork - the primary reason I have attempted to re-engage for BOOK 1 is because they are indicating that ANY work they did on Book1 would be considered their "Work Product" and if I used any of their suggested changes - THEY would be able to sue me for copywrite - See SCAM - OVER a YEAR and they STILL Have not produced ANYTHING - nor responded to my last email - and they use "BOOK" in the Refund Document - to IMPLY that the BOOK they are currently working on was canceled.
    I believe these guys to be predatory and not trust worthy. But because of the implied ability to sue me over copywrite infringements - I have little choice but to forego the 4,250 and move forward as best as possible as to no loose my ability to publish. I also have all transactions with this company and they Record ALL phone conversations -
    My goal at this point would to ensure that the BBB stays a trusted source of information about companies like this - and others might look and see how this company operates.

    I hope you are doing well; we've already informed Mr. ******** that he hasn't provided any material for "Book 2: From the Ashes" the end of the agreement clearly states that if Ghostwriting venture has provided any of the content for his "Book 2: From the Ashes," then he is not liable to use that content, as he asked our team to behold for book two unless we completed the book. The team is still working on his feedback for book one, and he can easily publish books two and three without any hassle.
    The same thing is communicated to Mr. ******** as well.

    The Yes and No option above is interesting - as their last comment addresses Book 2 of a 3 book trilogy- I have email showing I provided them the outline for Book 2 - and they have recordings of my conversation with them for all three books and the complete trilogy. and they have Not communicated with me since I lodged this complaint... so they have not done what they say in the comment to you. however, they have refunded my money for Book 2 - just not for Book 1 - and since they have done some work on Book 1 - I'll forgo the refund, and continue to see if we can work through book 1. however, I still believe this company to be a SCAM, and based out of India - the Copywrite laws they imply are from California - and there is NO mention of Copywrite ownership under these conditions for Editing or Creating material. I will not be using them after book 1 - lesson learned.
