We paid an advance for this company to advertise/sell our timeshare. Wow, the only time we hear from them is when they try to get us to pay more money. Super aggressive selling if you say no to spending more. They have called me twice since the original payment and both times were to ask for more money. I am in receipt of the review filed with your office by Ritta ****** Our records indicate that Ms. ****** has been a client of Timeshares By Owner since December 27, 2019, having purchased marketing to advertise her Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort in Florida. That advertising was specifically for website/walk-in office advertising. On January 14, 2021, Ritta ****** subsequently purchased marketing to advertise her Royal Islander timeshare in Cancun. Both ads remain active and renewed with complete profiles and photos added. All purchases require a signature on a contract and Ms ******'s two contracts from 2019 and 2021 respectively were signed in advance of the purchases. Along with the contract, a complete quality control call was conducted right after the purchase to ensure that Ms. ****** fully understood our marketing program and our terms and conditions. In the contract, the ten-day cancellation timeframe was fully explained and in both the contract and quality control calls, the marketing program was fully explained and had to be acknowledged as being understood. There is no record of any notice of cancellation coming from Ms. ****** within the ten-day cancellation timeframe for either contract as required in the contract.
In Ms. ******'s complaint against Timeshares By Owner, she claims that all we do is to call to ask for more money for more marketing programs. Ms. ****** has indicated that our sales representatives are "super-aggressive" after saying no to the possibility of purchasing more marketing. In response, it does appear that there have been a number of offers presented to Ms. ****** since she first purchased marketing program through Timeshares By Owner and at least offers took place in August. Our guarantee is to market a client's timeshare, which is exactly what we have been doing for Ms. ******. Additional marketing never has to be purchased, but there are different programs that provide more exposure. Based on the concerns expressed, Ms. ****** has now been placed on the "do not solicit" list so that she will not be contacted again to purchase more marketing.
Timeshares By Owner has been in business for 24 years helping clients rent and/or sell their timeshares. We generate millions in transmitted offers monthly, and our fully staffed Concierge Department closes on transactions all the time (sometimes up to five in one day). Timeshares By Owner has absolutely provided the services that we say we do, and we have been marketing as we said we would. We cannot and will not guarantee a sale or rent within any certain timeframe or for any certain amount. Our guarantee is to market a client's timeshare and that is exactly what we have been doing. Once there is an offer, it comes from a representative of our Concierge Department and they will work with the client from offer to completion, be it rental or sale. We have also advertised in the USA Today as well as major city newspapers, billboards, TV (**********************************************), direct mail marketing, internet, and other forms of media. We also attend trade shows, and we now digitally distribute the Timeshare Trader and Elite Plus magazines on a monthly basis. We do seasonal showcases that last for three months each and we send out email blasts directly to those that have expressed interest in timeshares similar to Ms. ******'s timeshares, and we sponsor our own podcast; "Vacation Time" broadcast every week live from the studios of the Timeshares By Owner corporate office. That is just a little of what we do. We have the tools to rent and/or sell a client's timeshare and have been successful at doing just that since 1998.
Just based on the fact that we have been marketing Ms. ******'s timeshare as contracted, there is no entitlement to anything beyond the marketing we have already provided; however, to hopefully resolve matters, I will provide additional marketing for Ms. ******'s timeshares into our next edition of the Elite Plus program and the Showcase Marketing program, which includes digital marketing magazines and the Fall Showcase for three months. I'm also adding email blasts that will go out to those interested in timeshares like hers. It was a pleasure working with Yisely ******, she secured a second property for our vacation in Hawaii, after the initial property became unavailable. I am so happy that I stumbled upon this company while searching for a stay in Hawaii, which can be very expensive. Not only did Ms 'Gigi' find us a top notch resort but she kept in contact with me providing regular updates on the progress, which was comforting considering all the scamming that's going on in our present world ...thanks again TSBO, looking forward to working with you again in the futureTimeshares By Owner

It is not often enough that someone will go out of their way to report on the outstanding service that they have been provided-- and to think it is for repeated services.

This company is definitely a FRAUD if you are trying to sell your timeshare. They call every few months and ask for more money. The most recent call I had today was from Penny. She was rude and nasty. She refused to answer my questions. But... the bottom line.... she was calling to ask for more money yet again. Don't fall for it!! Do not give them any money because they definitely will not sell your timeshare.Timeshares By Owner

I'm sorry that Laura ***** feels the way that she does. Our records indicate that Ms. ***** has been a client of Timeshares By Owner since September 29, 2021, having purchased marketing to advertise her Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort timeshare in Tennessee. That advertising was specifically for website/walk-in office advertising. Ms. ***** subsequently purchased additional marketing on December 2, 2021 to market her timeshare in the February edition of the Timeshare Trader digital marketing magazine. Before we can accept the fee on any marketing purchase, a signature is required on the contract. Ms ***** signed both contracts in advance of purchase. Along with the contract, a complete quality control call was conducted right after the purchases to ensure that Ms. ***** fully understood our marketing program and our terms and conditions. In the contract, the ten-day cancellation timeframe was fully explained. In the quality control calls, the marketing program was fully explained and had to be acknowledged as being understood. If in the QC, the program was not acknowledged as understood, the marketing fee would have been refunded. There is no record of any notice of cancellation coming from Ms. ***** within the ten-day cancellation timeframe as required in the contract.
In Ms. *****'s complaint against Timeshares By Owner, she claims that she was being sold additional marketing for yet a third time and did not want to purchase again. She contends that she was dealt with rudely; hence, she is unhappy with our services and wanted to warn others of purchasing any marketing program from Timeshares By Owner. In response, I regret the fact that the representative that contacted Ms. ***** may have been perceived as rude in any way. There are a number of marketing programs that can be sold to clients of Timeshares By Owner. Such programs include website advertising, the Timeshare Trader digital marketing magazine, the Elite Plus program that includes two magazines, and the seasonal Showcase that consists of three months of digital marketing and email blasts going out to clients expressing interest in timeshares like the client's timeshare. It does appear that there has been at least eight offers in 2022 from Jan. 2 to as recently as Sep. 14 this year. Our guarantee is to market a client's timeshare, which is exactly what we have been doing for Ms. *****. We never informed Ms. ***** that we would not call her to purchase additional marketing; we only stated that she did not have to purchase any additional marketing.

I have been dealing with TBSO for a few years now and all I have gotten is promised and less money in my bank account. They promise many things but always want more money to make it happen I think that this whole business is a scam.Timeshares By Owner

I apologize for any misunderstanding in regard to the marketing programs purchased by Sandra ********. Indeed she has been a client since 2017 with the purchase of different marketing programs to advertise her Island Links by Palmera timeshare. Unfortunately, if a client's website/walk-in office advertising is not renewed within six months, then the advertising is deactivated on our website; therefore the last purchase for Ms. ******** was virtually the same program that she had purchased originally in 2017. Her latest ad purchase that took place on December 15, 2021 now has a complete profile and multiple photos added to give the ad more prominence on our website.
Our guarantee is to market a client's timeshare and that is exactly what we have been doing for all of Ms. ********'s purchased advertising, be it website advertising, the Timeshare Trader, or the Elite Plus program that have all been purchased. We also followed up after each purchase with a quality control call in which the marketing that was purchased was acknowledged and understood. Based on timeframe and the fact that we have provided the marketing as contracted, there is no entitlement to a refund of any of Ms. ********'s marketing purchases.
Successful transactions occur all time through our services, which is why we maintain some pretty high ratings in our evaluations from clients-- and that's tough to do in the timeshare industry. I will do this as a resolution, First. I will work with the Concierge Department in finding some viable offers for Ms. ********'s timeshare. I will also provide additional marketing at no cost that includes the Elite Plus program, which consists of both the Timeshare Trader and Elite Plus digital marketing magazines. I will also provide the Showcase Marketing, which is a three-month digital marketing program that is featured in four different seasons and it includes email blasts going out to clients that have expressed any interest in timeshares comparable to Ms. ********'s.
Ms. ******** can contact our Client Services Dept anytime for an update at toll-free (888) 402-0280 or (888) 707-8463. Our Concierge Dept that provides offers can also be reached at toll-free (888) 364-9212.
