10/22/2022: My wife called a company representing themselves as CFPP (**************) about having my inoperable vehicle sold to them. I talked to them on the phone and was offered $350 which I accepted. I told them the vehicle did not run, still had an engine/Trans and the catalytic converter was intact. Later that evening a man came to pick up the vehicle, asked for my driver's license, took a photo of the car and asked me to sign a paper verifying my information and a thumbprint. He then asked to load the car on his flatbed which I agreed and then after he did so he asked if I had any questions. I said, yeah, where is my money?" Which he replied that I wouldn't be getting any. I asked why and he said the money was commensurate upon an inspection which was never told to me over the phone or before he even loaded my vehicle. He said there was no battery (which was true), there was no catalytic converter and that an aftermarket exhaust was on the car (which was false because there was cat on it when I replaced the exhaust with a direct replacement off rock auto). So, after I told him to put the vehicle back on the ground and called them scammers I told my wife and she talked the man who told her would have to pay $1000 to put the vehicle back on the road. He made a call to some woman in which he spoke spanish to her but she would only answer in english. My wife only speaks spanish and I was inside with our 2 year old daughter so I do not know what was said. But my wife told me the flatbed driver said that the woman on the phone said there's nothing they can do because the car is garbage. My wife was able to finally coax $150 cash out of him for the vehicle. Finally, we never received any paperwork for the transaction.
