We enjoy our timeshare. There are fees and it costs money but the resorts have all been pretty top and I feel like it forces us to vacation so we look forward to it.

What a scam!! Thieves and Charlatans. Stay away. They promise you the world but put none of it in writing. They wanted $30,000 up front or you could finance it for 17.99% APR interest. Its up to you. Then you get to pay $2,000 to $2,500 a year in dues for the privilege of one week a year....seriously? They hired a former Miss Hawaii to give the initial presentation and then we broke off into sessions with an 'advocate'. What a joke. We declined the timeshare offer BUT we got suckered into another one time offer for $1,695. I know...I know we are idiots. The contract said we had 10 days to cancel. The NEXT DAY I sent HGV a FedEx certified letter of cancellation that required a signature and no one has gotten back to me to confirm that I cancelled. When I call the number, they hang up. When I send an email no one ever responds. When I call my advocate, it goes straight to VM. THERE IS NO CANCELLATION. Be warned. You can buy points from so many websites of ignorant grandparents that got suckered in and cannot cancel. We saw one HGV contract for $1 in San Diego. This person just wanted to get rid of theirs. By the way, don't buy or sign any contracts. Also, do a future value calculation of depositing $30K in a mutual fund earning a lousy 6% and adding $2,000 to $2,500 a year in maintenance fees and tell me what you get in 10 years. HINT: Its $75K!!! Everyone in the presentation audience was old and uneducated---heck, one lady was in a scooter on oxygen!! These people do not care. Im so embarrassed for being so stupid, but I wanted to tell my story. Oh and I put the $1,695 on a Hilton credit card and when I called to dispute it, Hilton AMEX DECLINED to get involved. So I guess I am out $1,695. I followed all of the rules for cancellation and I still lost. Stupid me. At least I am not a thief preying on our families and senior citizens. Shameful.

The staff at Diamond Resorts have the tendency to leave out crucial information that could allow you to make an informed decision. We signed up not being informed about the never-ending fees and how they will increase every year. They did a wonderful job at making it seem like this purchase would be the best decision of our life. Unfortunately, this was all a lie! All the meetings they trapped us in lasted way longer than they had originally said. During one of our meetings with Diamond, we were told that opening a credit card would decrease our monthly bills. I recently discovered that we had an additional timeshare put in our name because of that visit. This is not what I signed up for and this is another example of how the staff plays games with how things are communicated in the sales pitch. The Diamond sales staff are manipulative and well versed on how to twist words to make a sale. Be VERY careful when dealing with them!!

In 2015 I bought my 3000 point package for $10,000 and it cost me more like $20,000. I couldn't use any points because there was never anything anywhere I wanted to go available. Everything i was told in the presentation was a lie and was there for so long it took one whole day of my vacation. Went at 10am and got out of ther at 8pm. They had so many differnt people talking to us it was crazy. I tried to get out but it was too late by like a few days. I finally went to the first place in Wisconsin Dells and it was so terrible I had it for a week but left after 2 days and rented a hotel. Then theybalways want to get you to up grade and they tell you they want to tellbyou about what is new and it's not a sales pitch. And then they take you IDs and Credit Cards and hold them and you hostage pressuring you to buy for another $20,000 I had them get mad at me cause I told them no and I wanted to leave and then they has some one else come over who I thought was going to apologize and give us our things back so we could go cause our 1 hr was now going on 2 1/2. And he tried to sell it in a different approach. I told them I said no I don't have the money and I wish I never would have been that sucker the first time. And finally got my ID and CCs and got out of there that was in vegas. Something in Daytona. I want out andbits paid for but I have to pay $1000 per person to get out. I got a divorce and he paid $1000 to take his name off and paid the balance of $5000. But I can't ever go were i want when i want. And it is terrible! The people are rude and lies! I Just hope some day they get sued and we all get our $$ back.

Diamond resorts scammed us big time! When my daughter and I had agreed to purchase, after the ridiculous amount of pressure they were applying, they were going over what I needed to say to the person who was helping me sign. They told me to tell them I was single, which I am not. I felt that this was a fraud but our salesperson, Ms. *****, claimed this was normal and this happens regularly. Later we discovered that our contract did not include a Truth in Lending Act page. We also learned that there was a perpetuity clause that was not disclosed to us during the presentation, along with many other lies. We trusted these "professionals" to tell us the truth, but we were wrong. We regret putting any trust into this company.

We wrote to Diamond Resorts regarding our timeshare and how we were fed false information by the salespeople so they could steal our money, but they still have not let us out of our contract. In fact, I just received a notice saying that they tried to debit money from my account, which they DO NOT have permission to do.

Our entire experience with this company has been terrible! We recently wrote to Diamond Resorts trying to explain our frustration with them and to ask them to release us from our contract. They answered, declining to take responsibility for any of what I had told them I experienced. May I add, this seemed like a very canned response, almost as if they copied and pasted everything. They said they usually tell people to put aside a couple hours for the meeting. I had explained to them that they told us it will be an hour and it ended up lasting 8 hours. That is not a couple hours!! When we told them that the salespeople claimed it was an investment and we can make money off it in the long run, they claimed we misunderstood, and it would be an investment in the sense we would be able to travel more. Funny, as there is no availability so we cannot travel even with them at all. I had told them I am requesting that all communication be in writing only. However, they recommended we speak on the phone so they can have a full understanding and how I can assist them in working towards an appropriate solution. The ONLY appropriate solution I will accept is canceling my contract, which they had refused to do! Seeing some of these BBB reviews, I can unfortunately see that this is a common thing. They lie to everyone and are NEVER held responsible!

1/15/20 - I purchased a Sampler package ($3995 for 20k pts.) from DRI during a presentation, The package was valid with specific DRI properties expiring in 24 months. COVID came soon after and I was unable to use my points.
10/21 - I tried to use those pts for a vacation in Feb 2022 and I was told that the resort I was booking wasn't part of the Sampler and that my points would expire before then.
2/20/22 - I attended a presentation where the salesperson tried to sell me more pts to join Hilton (HGVM). I told him that I wouldn't discuss joining until my Sampler pts were addressed. He told me that DRI was aware of the issue and were adding 6600 pts. to my account over each of the next 3 yrs to be used at the specific DRI resorts. At that time I told him that I would wait to join HGVM.
3/11/22 - I had major foot surgery requiring 4 months recovery time.
3/31/22 - I called to book an October vacation to one of the Sampler resorts only to be told by Manny that those pts. were unavailable but he would look into it.
4/8/22 - still no pts. so I call and am told by Tavares that the transfer had been refused.
4/11/2 - call DRI again and Jarvis tells me that the Sampler pts are only good until January 2023 and I would need to attend another presentation to activate them. Later that afternoon I got a call from David Lodge(supervisor?) who rudely told me that I would also have to purchase more pts and join HGVM to transfer the Sampler pts.
4/19/22 - received a call from Sophia ****** that it would also cost me $129 to extend the Sampler program for 1 yr.. I had enough and contacted Transitions that afternoon to turn in my resort week. Per their conditions, I was told that I had to cancel all booked vacations - which I did.
      6/3/22 - I re-submit my request
6/7/22 - I receive an email 'request is approved'
6/27/22 - I receive an email that my 'request is denied' as a title check shows that I had bought on resale
Out $3995, no Sampler pts, can't get out of contract, I LOVE DRI

We bought into DRI in October 2021 and am now finding it to be the biggest and most costly poor investment. When trying to combine an RCI Reservation into our DRI account we are told that the dates for my RCI reservation are incorrect although I have an RCI confirmation for the specific dates I'm trying to "combine". On top of that, we have been unable to make any reservations in the past 9 months! And OMG, when you try to navigate through their call direction service to get a live person, you should plan to wait on hold for an hour or more. It is obvious that I might just as well burned my $16+K payment as it clearly has failed to provide ANY value here!

Hilton Grand Vacations sold us a timeshare on promises that were not kept. Their timeshares are not financially sustainable or feasible. We have nothing but regret after having done business with Hilton Grand Vacations, they lied about many things during the pushy sales meeting and as a result we're stuck with a financial burden. Don't be led on by anything they say, it's all practically a scam to get you locked into a contract, paying on debt and fees with unrealistic interest rates. Nothing about Hilton Grand Vacations is an "investment" like they say. It's all garbage. They are the leaders in aggressive sales tactics, to the point where they should really be investigated. Not only that they constantly call and bug you to upgrade. It goes to show how greedy they are. They boasted that our timeshare would "increase in value" but the only thing that increases are the fees!!! Hilton timeshares are practically worthless even on the user end, you have to book 18 months in advance to maybe get something. For being such a pushy timeshare company, they sure don't have much availability. Their point system is purposely made to be complicated and expensive, it's a sucker's deal. There's a cost to convert points and the points don't roll over every year. The more you look into Hilton Grand Vacations the more you'll notice it's all a scam. Don't accept anything from them and avoid their sales meetings.
