This company has bullied for more money, and has not tried to resolve my requests for justification of the extra charges, they just keep billing me. Then they made up things that would have been for the original job. And threatened to charge me more if I don't pay.

Please see attached contract. On 10/13/24 the customer signed a contract, and a $1,000 deposit was collected. No tarping was promised or contracted at this time. During this meeting our estimator ******* stated that after walking the roof he included (5) sheets of wood or 160 Linear feet, in the contracted price but that more may be needed and it will be charged additionally, which is also stated on the contract. He also stated that pictures would be taken and provided, which did happen. On 11/12/24 after permitting, material delivery and scheduling were completed construction began. Also, on 11/12/24, the customer was notified that there was a lot of rotted wood and charged additionally. She verbally approved. Nowhere was it written on her contract that any rotted wood or attic fan were to be saved and set aside. The city passed dry inspection on 11/12/24. The following day the roof covering was installed and the city passed the final inspection on 11/13/24. The next day a revised invoice for the bill included an additional charge of $1,440 for 360 Linear feet were used but only 180 linear feet were charged at $8/ft per the contract. Please see contract. Also as stated in this contract late fees apply to any payments not timely received. This is a standard business practice and is not bullying or harassments.

The customer was repeatedly sent these photos. Some are attached to this response but we have limited attachment capabilities on this website.  Potentially, the emails could have ended in her spam folder. We communicated and responded to the customer. At the end of the day, she did not want to pay. The customer became confrontational. It was not until 11/26/24 that the customer agreed to pay for the roof $21,120 but refused to pay for the extra wood. We have spent the 3 months getting threats from her to take us to court. She blamed *** for not receiving a wind mitigation report which is not performed by a roofing contractor and nowhere requested on the contract. We also have proof of voided checks that were lost in the mail but in preservation of customers banking information I will refrain from posting in this reply. This is not a repair dispute. The roof quality is not in question and when the customer goes to sell this property I am sure it will be a selling feature.

WKL has performed the scope of work outlined in our contract, performed all work to the Florida building code, passed all inspections and is owed payment in full.

I am not asking for the roofing company to finish or complete any work.  I am saying that they did not show any proof of additional work, and I have had roofers agree that little more was done for the high additional price.  No pictures were ever sent, and when I asked for them to send them slow mail, nothing was done.  I did not agree, I was told after the fact, with no proof.  It is funny that with all the emails that they claim they sent with attachments of pictures, this never reached me,and no they didn't say look in your spam folder.  They said they sent them with the bill. I did get the bills. I received their emails that had their additional billing, with no problem at all.  I was never combative and just asked for justification for the additional charge. Also, when I called for the final price the day the work was done, I was told it was the price that was first agreed on, and yes, they repeated to confirm it was the original price.  Yes,I did say that maybe we should go to court and let the judge decide, and if the judge went in their favor I would pay, this was because all they kept doing was to bill me. What else was I going to do? Blindly pay a bill.  I did not complain about the agreed price and paid immediately.  Showing that they knew this, the postmark on the envelope that they finally received, proved the date of the checks that were immediately mailed to them the day after the work was done. I am saying that they are not what they say they are. Cypress boards were taken out, an attic fan, and no reasoning was shown.  They offer money off if the customer gives them a five-star rating.  Who doesn't want money off their bill?  To me, all of this shows poor business quality.  This is what I want to instill in this message, and to date, there have been no pictures of said additional work.  I also, offered to pay the money but said that in doing so, I would put bad ratings on every site that I could find, finally being very frustrated.  Nothing has been said since that email.Until this answer was given to the BBB, months later.

From the last response of the customer she also agrees that there is no work needing to be done. The roof has been installed by code, passed inspection. There is no question of quality and or workmanship. Boards were rotten and removed from the decking of the roof and all construction debris has been removed from the property as outlined by her contract. The condition of these boards deem them unfit for use and that is why they did not remain on her roof. I am confused why the customer is complaining that we threw away rotted wood she wanted to resell. But still if this was her intention there was nothing noted on the contract. Therefore we followed through with what was outline on the contract, debris is taken away.

In my second reply to this website I have attached additional photos as proof of material and services rendered. Is the customer still looking for proof that extra material and labor was used? Or can my responses and these pictures provided be enough evidence that she does in fact still owe WKL Roofing $1,440. Standard business practices of charging late fees and making collection calls are not harassments or bullying. The customer cannot logically claim that we haven't responded and also claim that we are harassing her. Our business manager specifically has communicated over the phone with this customer repeatedly sending emails of attached photos.

WKL Roofing provided material and services and is owed payment in full. I am disappoint the customer feels as if she has been wronged. But that doesn't take away from the credible and honest positive reviews that multiple customers have taken the time out of their day to share. We are a good business, who pays its vendors and employees well and on time; which is only possible if customers pay their bills in a timely manner. It is my sincere hope that this matter will be settled, a payment will be made, and a warranty can be given to this property. Per our contract until payment is made in full no workmanship warranty will be provided.

Wkl roofing put a new roof on my house in March 2024 . There are many issues .here are a few . Paper was not laid flat , had rips in it and they applied tar over it . After the dry in inspection roofer cut another hole in my roof and scabbed in plywood and not attached properly. I have photos . Also the nailing pattern is not correct . They wanted to return and and add more nail and glue which would void the manufacturers warranty with the tamco singles they installed. The city inspectors got involved, they have reported him to the board of contractors rescinded the final inspection as the roof is not compliant and at this point, I am still in limbo and they have done nothing to fix the problem. they were also to put new soffits and gutter on my house which timeframe for installation was to be about 8 to ******************************************************** the process and because of the issues with the roof with them, I have no gutters. Im a very frustrated home owner . Also, I only gave them the thousand dollar deposit so they have not been paid yet and they threaten to put a lien on my house which makes no sense to me because they are not compliant and were told to rip the roof off and put a new one on.

WKL Roofing is taking responsibility that a mistake was made during install and on multiple occasions, tried to remedy it. But there was a dispute between the inspector and the contractor if a repair was a manufacturer approved method (see attached). WKL took time to get a job specific letter (see attached)stating that if the inspector had let us repair the nailing pattern on the first day we were notified of the issue this claim would be settled.

Instead, we had to have multiple discussions because the inspector misinformed the homeowner and would not admit his fault. The customer did not pay for the roof. As for the gutters, the customer had signed a contract to throw away the gutters and install new ones at the time she signed up for the roof. Since the customer requested the roof be torn off and redone it made no sense to install new gutters.

Our last attempt to reach out to the customer was on 8/5/24 via email. In this email we offered to reroof her job. We also attempted to get in writing from the homeowner that she was giving our installers permission to come back to the jobsite. Lastly, we wanted to clarify that the inspector was wrong and that the time wasted in proving it has resulted in her needing a reroof.

In response to this claim WKL ROOFING LLC will refund the $1,000.00 deposit. No lien has been filed all material and labor has been paid.

I hired WKL Roofing to replace the roof on a mobile home that I am selling to the current tenent who resides there. The address is*********************. Ormond Beach Florida. The work on the roof started on May 23. The next morning they did not show up or call. I called them and they told me they'd be there the next day. They next day they didn't show up and the again told me tomorrow. The communication was little to none. They finished the job on May 26. They charged an extra $500 for 10 plywood. Some of the work crew came by and when asked how much they used- they told me 6 panels. The job included 5 panels. They corrected the bill stating that it was for 2x4s used. They never said anything to me about 2x4s during the job and that was not in the contract. I did pay $95 for the extra panel of plywood. They removed, then replaced a skylight that was on the house, but left holes made by them into the sides. They came out to repair, but the repair looks gaudy and unfinished. They did not reattach the gutters to the house and the gutters are now tilted. The front facia was replaced with a facia that did not match and the repair was shoddy and will cause more damage. The owner will not call me back. I do have pictures of the areas of complaint and I just want things to be repaired correctly. I hope that you could help resolve these issues.
    Thank you in advance,
