I had an incredibly negative experience with this organization. Their practices are dishonest and I found the whole program unhelpful. I tried in multiple ways to say that it wasn't meeting my needs and I never got any additional support. It definitely isn't worth the high price.

I recently joined the Cheeky Scientist program, and it was not a great start. I felt pressured to join, even though it was just the first informational call. I was given a scholarship of sorts to reduce the fee that they asked, which brought me down to $1500. I was told there was limited seats, and if I left the call, I lose my discount. Even though I agreed and consented to being recorded, I felt uncomfortable as the transition specialist watched me enter my credit card information (that recording is still with the company). After signing up, a few of us, who just joined, met with the CEO who provided information on how the job market is and how it affects applicants. I realized after that call, and taking a brief look at some of the content other customers were sharing, that I have read about this stuff on forums and news sites for free or for much smaller fees. For the next couple of days, I started to see negative comments and press on the company, and I realized I made a mistake. I also combed through the agreement I signed, which also felt rushed on the first initial call, and saw how many stipulations were in place to actually participate, even though that amount of work was not made clear in the call. As a recent graduate with very little money, I feel immense regret. For anyone who does sign up and enjoys the process and outcome, great. But it's not for me at this time. I just requested a refund and am hoping this will resolve with some sustainable recruitment tactics in the future.

The Cheeky Scientist Diamond program helped me get to the advanced stages of interviews followed by on-site interviews and helped with salary negotiation. In every stage of the interview process, I use STAR technique to answer the interviewer questions, and I asked the company many questions, as instructed by Cheeky Scientist (i.e. when they asked, “Do you have any question for us?”). I learned this by following the weekly classes closely and can say that the questions I asked about their company and business make the difference in getting hired. During the negotiation, I used the Cheeky Scientist negotiation strategy and was able to negotiate for higher signing and yearly bonuses, relocation package, corporate accommodation, more PTO, yearly commissions, and from 12 months non-compete closure to no non-compete agreement. Thanks again to all the members of Cheeky Scientist Meera, Abha, Manish and Isaiah for helping me during this transition.

Cheeky Scientist is an Ultimate Scam
As a PhD student worried about getting an industry job and not wanting to do a postdoc, I explored all possible avenues and stumbled upon Cheeky Scientist. Here’s my breakdown of the experience:
Identifying and Approaching Vulnerable Targets: Cheeky Scientist, led by Isaiah, offers a free 'transition call,' which seems like it will be informational. During this call, you will meet with 3 to 4 transition mentors who essentially tell you that you suck. They will destroy any ego you have, leaving you feeling like you are destined to fail.
Cult-like Convincing Tactics: You will then be convinced that the only way to transition is by joining Cheeky Scientist. They claim they will help you all the way until you get a job, making it sound like they will be part of your success. You will be convinced to drink their Kool-Aid.
Hyper-aggressive Sales Tactics: They will tell you that you need to pay a "nominal fee" of $250 a month, which, given the eventual "guaranteed" transition, is presented as an investment. You will deliberate over this.
Quelling of Denial: If you think the price is too high, they will reduce it by $100 and tell you that if you don’t join, your life will suffer. They will claim that you’ll be poor for the rest of your life and even suggest that doing a PhD was a waste of time.
Reluctant Acceptance: They will finally convince you to accept the offer and make you sign up for Affirm, putting you into a $5000 loan from which you can't back out. There are no refunds.
Radio Silence: After two weeks, there will be radio silence. You will have to figure out what to do on your own, receiving no help at all. You will be left wondering what to do, and the poor PhD or postdoc is poorer than before.
Isaiah is a terrible person for taking advantage of PhDs! If there was an option for no stars, I would have chosen that to be really honest.

During my search for an industry opportunity, I was very surprised about the number of fake job ads I encountered, where they repost the same position over and over again. Also, I was very surprised when I didn't receive an interview for positions that I thought matched my skills and experience well and when I received interview invites for positions that had a low match with my profile. The program helped me a lot to navigate those challenges and I thought the mock interviews and the Diamond meetings (specially the Q&A sessions) were the most valuable.

What surprised me the most was the emotional strength it takes to keep going after rejections, especially after interviewing. Once I made up my mind to just never give up, things started to go my way! I’d say the program support, the mentors, and the community were the most valuable. Definitely the resume and LinkedIn work were valuable as well. The job search reminded me of a saying that rings true about many things in life - It doesn’t work until it does. It just takes one yes.

The Cheeky Scientist association is not worth doing business with. They have very high pressure sales tactics to try to make you spend thousands of dollars. They pressure you with lies about what their services truly are and lies about the exclusivity and timing of your offer. They simply don't want you to take the time to think about it because most people who think about it, decide not to go through with it. It is a very high price tag for a lifelong commitment with an unreasonable party, and they want you to commit to them after a very short conversation with very little information about what their services truly are.
The services themselves I'm sure help some people. However, the content is very scattered and not well done. They are sort of BSing their way through resume building just to trick the AI into catching all the keywords in your resume. After being exposed to more of their process, I lost confidence in their tactics and tried to withdraw from the service. But they require a lifetime commitment and outright refuse to reimburse any money.
That's why I say they are truly not worth doing business with. Manipulative sales tactics that lock you into a service that you don't know much about. And the service itself is not high quality, but you can't back out.
      Hope this helps someone.

      This oganization is fraudulent.
Isaiah ****** runs a criminal racket called "Cheeky Scientist ". He pressures people for thoudands of dollars. At first he seems to be helpful and on your side. But then it becomes evident he runs a criminal racket. If he is so knowing in getting a PhD job in Industry; why does he not have one himeself?

The job search was harder than I expected but I learned how to be more engaged during interviews with the interviewers and make my work interesting to them as well as how it was someway related to what they are doing. I would say the Association meetings were very helpful and I would take notes toward how to connect with people and reach out. Also making small changes in my resume using their suggestions were helpful. Additionally, the mentors were helpful and always gave me good feedback about my interview practice answers.

A very high price tag for helpful advice that can be found elsewhere for free. Very very high pressure sales call. I got good advice but it cost a huge amount of money I dont have. Please, please, if you are considering getting help, look elsewhere first, and if you decide they could be helpful, do not sign the contract on the first call.
Also two other problems: the PhDs who find success with them are hard core STEM PHDs. If you are humanities and social sciences, they cannot help you much.
And, when I tried to voice a concern, I was severely reprimanded. They appear to be doing such great stuff because they muzzle discontent.
