Barry County Jail is Very Unprofessional. I was Denied and told to wait for an Approval in 2-3 days; which Never happened. A Terrible System. This way... They can Control your Visitors and get their personal information.

While we sympathize with this customer, InmateSales provides the Video Visitation service to the jails but the jails are responsible and reserve the right to approve or deny any visit for any reason. InmateSales does not deny visits. Her issue is with the actual jail not InmateSales. We have no control and no information as to why her visit was not approved by the jail. Hopefully, her next visit will be approved.

Inmate sales products are a joke and overpriced. For the price, their technology should be more advanced. I gave contacting them multiple times about issues and customer service is a joke as well. You have to call multiple times before your call is answered (get disconnected for no reason) my current issue…purchased email for my loved one so that I may exchange pictures for my sons prom and graduation. Glad I have tried it before the big day because it does not work. I have sent 4 emails (2 test emails) that he has not received. The messages went through with only a subject. No message or picture attached, but yet the email units were deducted. I have attempted to contact but call was disconnected. I tried again and informed to contact video dept. At this point I would just like my money back (all of it) including the fee as this is not a problem caused by me and apparently their system has some type of glitch. Please make it right. But I will be attempting to make more calls as these services are not cheap and I spend 100s per week.

Thank you for the opportunity to assist this customer. We have investigated this customers issue and determined that the facility where her loved one is located does not allow attachments to be delivered therefore the system is set at the facility's request to send the email but strip off any and all attachments. All facilities have rules specific to their own methods of operation. If she has any other questions and/or wants a refund of her balance, we encourage her to please contact our Visitation/Email department at 866-340-7878.

I have been very frustrated with talking to Customer Service to get funds transferred...until today. I received a call from the Call Center. Marilyn helped me so much! I don't know if she knows what a blessing her phone call was for me. When you have to deal with the sadness of having a loved one incarcerated, and then not having confidence in the only outlet you have to communicate with that loved one is very frustrating. I could not find my initial complaint to add this to but hope that my message gets received by Inmate Sales/Combined Public Communications. Thank you again!!!

Sad excuse for a company and even sadder excuses for employees! They take your money as fast as they can then mess up your visits. They schedule you for visits at times they know the jail doesn't allow them won't refund your money but rather keep it and stiff you for not getting to use their service which is trash at its best!
