08/16/202210:46 am This problem occurred at Northern Tool+ equipment in a store located at 7228 Pensacola Blvd 32505With a phone number 850-308-6400 I did purchase a Powerhorse generator 2000 watts, 83169 model I did pay $499.99 + a repair plan 69.99+ 43.35 taxes, this generator didn't work as they described it, didn't have enough power to turn on a microwave of 700 watts, so I decided to return it, and the store manager didn't accept it back, stating that it has been used, but obviously I have to used it to know how it works, they said that generator are not products that they take back, but the receipt said that generators are not accepted back only when a natural disaster occur, and obviously this is not the situation, I call customer service and they want to sell me a bigger one, but I already bought a better one My receipt looks little bad because it fell off when was raining

Mr. ******** never talked to the Store Manager as I am that person. I was made aware of the situation and Mr. ******** brought in said generator saying that it did not work at all. As with any power equipment we had our mechanic look at it and it ran exactly the way is was intended to. Everything was up to specs. After Mr. ******** was showed this he changed his story to it didn't power his microwave. Mr. ******** was told at this time that we do not take back power equipment once it was used as we can not resell it. It states this on our receipt if he would have kept reading the receipt he would have seen that. The generator he brought in looked to be about 2 years old not the one week he stated with all the wear and abuse it had suffered there was no way it could be resold. Normally I will try to work with customers as much as possible but when the story changes on what the problem is and the unit has obviously been used excessively it limits what we can do for said customer.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

I can't be satisfied with this answer, he is exaggerating, because this generator has to be used at least one time to know that it didn't work as they described , he was yelling at me when I did ask for a refund, and that is not the way that a customer should be treated, is why I'm not going to stop until I receive my refund and a apology from this "manager" because I know I'm not the only one with similar situations.

As per the company policy on the receipt there will be no refund on the generator however if he can bring in a generator in re sellable shape with a valid receipt I can work out some type of store credit. This will be based on the condition of the generator.

I'm going to accept their response until they do my refund or store credit , because they don't care about their customers
