    Worst customer service in history. I bought a 48" fan in June that was advertised to come with a $100 gift card. I hadn't used it at all until October 15th. When I got to checkout, the gift card didn't work. After several tries, the cashier said "I'll just suspend this transaction until you figure it out." So I then proceeded to my vehicle and called customer service. Customer service proceeded to tell me that the store should take care of it. I then went back inside with customer service on my phone. The manager proceeded to tell the customer service that they couldn't take care of it. As anyone would, at this point get upset. I raised my voice (not yelling) and said "this is ridiculous! and the cashier, not to be outdone, said LOUDER than me " It's really rude to talk that loud!!". Her manager then agreed LOUDLY. So I left the store with customer service (who was also disrespected by the store manager and cashier) on the phone promising to email me my gift card. I also requested contact info. The reason was simple-- I have 30 YEARS of retail experience and 15 of those in management. I simply wanted to talk to the district manager and possibly meet him back at the store with these 2 individuals to offer an apology for raising my voice. 72 hours later, ABSOLUTLY NOTHING FROM NORTHERN TOOL. NO PROMISED GIFT CARD OR ANYTHING. SO NOW IM JUST OUT THE $100 NORTHERN TOOL ADVERTISED
