Date I picked up my 2013 ****** Altima Aug. 8, 2024, I paid $4,000 for service. The business fixed my car and I gave a 12 month warranty. My car was not fixed the same problem happened again. I took my car back to Lowcost Transmission and he kept my car for over 7 days told me he took the transmission apart and did not find any problem with the transmission however the engine is bad, he could not help with the engine.

I took my 2005 GMC Yukon Denali to this mechanic on March 15th. It is now June 4th and they still have my vehicle. I had taken it a week prior to get the ** repaired. I had to return it to him on March 15th because when it was turned back in to me, my back windows did not go down, my inside lights would not turn off, no air was blowing in the back, and eventually the ** went out with a leak in the rear right (green fluids assuming was the line that runs in the back). **** (main representative) told me if i had an issue there would be no problem that he would fix it. He then sent it out to another mechanic for the electrical issues he was having. At this time, I still do not have my vehicle, i have no status on it, and i do not know if the issues have been repaired. He did say he would cover the bill but I have had to borrow familys cars pay for rentals and request to work from home because of this. I dont believe nearly 4 months is an appropriate length of time to have a vehicle worked on. I just want my vehicle repaired , a refund since i have been without my vehicle this long, and have him finish the job so that I dont use his services again. ******* doesnt come cheap and was my savings from taxes.

My car was in this shop for almost 3 months, the first time. When I got it back, the transmission fell off the engine the next day. Finally, after 2 tow truck expenses, and an Uber back to the shop, I got my car back. Two months later, my car winds up back in this transmission shop! As of March 10th, every few days promise made, promise broken. Meanwhile, I'm behind on everything financially. God knows when I'll see my car again. A transmission shop that can't fix a transmission. Where's my justice? Who's going to reimburse me for the Turo rental?

Where do I start? First, they attempted to rebuild the original transmission. That attempt took three weeks. When completed, it didn't last 3 days. Took it back, this time they said it was a pump failure. Now, going on three more weeks, they still haven't fixed the problem. I am now in financial ruins. Also, every time they said they would call me back with an update, they don't. Instead of simply replacing the old transmission with a factory rebuilt one, they continue to add to injury by not doing what is obviously the right thing.

My 2012 *********** was towed for service estimate and kept for 30 days to replace a transaxle on November 14th, 2022 with completion of service and full payment on December 13, 2022. A 3 year/100,000 mile warranty was issued with the service invoice #****. A request for system check was requested but not given before release and I was told the vehicle was running fine and test driven. After picking up the car I immediately experienced problems and on December 14th, at 10 PM the car was inoperable with high engine temperature, battery and steering failures resulting in shutting down the vehicle due to a missing pulley belt and loose connective placement. The car was towed back on Monday and remained in their service for 5 days, releasing Friday with explanation to bring it back the following Monday. Additional problems associated with the transmission resulted in jerking and pulling at low speed intervals and grinding. An independent check on December 28th at AutoZone by the District Manager confirmed the issues related to the Transmission and advice to return to the service provider. A system check at Auto Zone passed the battery, alternator and charging system. Subsequent calls to Low Transmission for service resulted in an avoidance of the problem and failure to address the service repair and warranty. The car is unsafe to operate without checking and completing the problem associated with the transmission repair. I could have been injured or killed while driving the vehicle and expected a more responsive and urgent attempt to honor the guarantee. My request is to have this matter fully investigated and resolved since they carry a BBB Sign in their shop. Overall they are not BBB Rated and have a C+ Designation with an open unresolved complaint in your system. Next steps would require legal assistance and the ************************* among other compliances for resolution.

    Business Response

To ************ and Whm it may concern.

Once a vehicle is finished and a final road test is done we contact the customer and request the pick up thier vehicle. every vehicle gets a final check out and scan prior to being released. Once ************ picked up her vehicle we had no further contact with her till she went someplace else and they referred her back to our facility. Sadly she made a complaint before she even returned and gave us the opportunity to address the issues she was concerned about. When she finally brought the vehicle back in we did a external diagnostic service same as we do when a car 1st comes to our facility. We explained to her the battery alternator and pullies are on the motor not the transmission and we do not remove them or work on them when working on a transmission. we then explained that there was a problem with the brand new remanufactured transmission pump which was installed when we rebuilt the transmission. At that time we reexplained that the pump assembly is 3 weeks out. Like when we initially rebuilt her transmission we are at the mercy of the suppliers and if the parts are not available we have to wait for them to come in.. Shortly after dropping her car off for service she went into the hospital and we believe she is still there. As for the remainder of her comments. If a person doesnt call us and tell us they have a problem then there is no way to assist them. Our crystal **** is not functioning properly and we dont know when our supplier will get ** another so if ************ will please call us during business hours will will promptly contact her. When a customer calls after hours and our message box is full we have no way of knowing. Lastly we are not current BBB members but we proudly  display our past accreditation showing our proud association with the BBB and that at that time we were an A rated corporation. We also display our other awards top shop in 2021 and our mission statement and core values through Technet.. It is our intention to serve every customer to the absolute best of our ability. We do not ignore any customer intentionally and try our very best to address everyone concerns with prompt courteous service. We have given her no reason to question our integrity like she has and as stated earlier we have her vehicle and under warranty we are replacing a defective transmission pump. As we tell all our customers everything looked good on the rebuild and with the hard parts involved we have road tested the vehicle but us putting 10 miles on a car is not like them putting a **** miles on the transmission. We ask every customer to come back in two weeks no matter how great they feel it works. and if they have any concerns please contact us immediately. At this time we are waiting on parts and will continue the service under warranty for *********** we have no other offers for her at this time. We sincerely wish her a speedy recovery.

I am rejecting this response because: the contents of their reply to the Better Business Bureau are materially false and misleading to avoid responsibility for the repair and integrity of the service.  *** car was released with the false statement that it was test driven and operated well after being held for one month in their shop.  Moreover, the car immediately went into mechanical failure within 24 hours of release and documentation of calls to their office and subsequent towing back to repair the problem were made with a qualified person who will testify in court on the condition.  Additional tows to Low Transmission Service have failed to provide proper service or explanations to me or the Better Business Bureau.  This is fraud and I am prepared to file legal charges with the State Attorney and other compliance offices.  I have paid for a car that is not safe to drive and have identified another person who experienced this same behavior and had to file complaints against the company.  *** financial hardship  of placing my trust in Low Transmission Physician Service has forced me to document their deception and prepare for a legal remedy.  I will not accept their failed response and demand compliance.

    Sincerely,

I brought my car to them last year to get my transmission looked at. They told me I in fact did need a transmission so we paid almost $5000 to have it replaced. I got my car back it was still doing the same thing I brought it back to them. They then brought it to ******* ****** said that my transmission needed to be replaced again. So I brought it back to them got another one car kept doing the same thing I caught them in, lies telling me that they were waiting on transmissions that it was like my fifth one and that it was at ****** for weeks at a time although I spoke with ****** and they said they seen my car twice . I brought it back to get warranty work on it because my car was still bucking they sent it to ******* I ended up having to pay a $319 diagnostic fee although I never gave low-cost transmission to do a diagnostic on anything other than my transmission they are avoiding my phone calls and avoiding ******s. The amount of lies that I caught them in is unbelievable. They had my car for months just sitting there I also picked my car up from them with damage being done to the driver side rear of my vehicle. *** mentioned that to them and they completely ignored that situation as well. So not only is my car still doing the same thing it was doing when I brought it to them. I am now out an additional 400 something dollars. It makes me question as to whether or not I even needed a transmission in the first place.
