      I found Chewy charges on my bank statement for items that I did not order. I called Chewy to report the fraud and they tried to blame it on a PayPal breach. They said the items were purchased through my PayPal account when they were actually purchased with my saved credit card information located on Chewy's system. Chewy needs to provide every customer with free credit monitoring. I will be reporting this to my local **************************

      What has likely occurred is that your password credentials were obtained from a breach of another website, unrelated to Chewy. Bad actors sometimes use stolen credentials which are then used to log into other websites like Chewy. This can occur when customers use the same password across multiple accounts at different websites.



      When we detect potential suspicious activity related to your Chewy account based on our monitoring systems, we proactively block your account to prevent any further activity on your Chewy Account. This is done to protect your Chewy account from unauthorized use. By resetting your password to something new and unique to Chewy, you can ensure your Chewy account remains protected.

      I did some digging and was able to locate your account. The order ending ***** was cancelled prior to shipment, and so your account should not have been charged and any pending hold or payment authorization should have fallen off your bank statement within ***** business hours. However, that timing may vary based on your banking institution. For the orders ending *****, *****, and *****, those orders were refunded on July 23, 2022 to the payment method on file. Generally speaking, you should have seen the refunded amounts credited to the account associated with the payment method on file within 3 to 5 business days, however that timing may vary based on your banking institution.

      Someone at Chewy incorrectly "closed" my pet's valid prescription that had refills causing further complications. First chat representative told me to call their pharmacy instead of just contacting them, i.e. her job, then that same chat agent closed the chat on me without helping one bit. Second chat representative had me wait for a very long time (stated on hold with pharmacy) then gave me false information (lied to me) and also told me to call the pharmacy line. I was unable to place a phone call, which I had told them, and they repeated to call that line instead of resolving the issue Chewy created. Second agent also closed the chat on me without helping in any way.

Therefore, a new prescription needed to be obtained.
