On 8/29/22 I booked Allegiance Van Lines (***) to move my family from ******** to ********* on 8/31/22 & paid a deposit of $1,200 ($950 on one credit card & $250 on another credit card job number *******). On 8/30/22 ******* (dispatch) called me to change the date to 9/2/22 due to a lack of truck availability. I was flexible & pushed my move to 9/3/22 instead because I had a funeral to attend on 9/2/22. I received a call on 8/30/22 evening from the movers (***) stating they would be there 8/31/22 morning. I told them ******* rescheduled & he claimed he didn't know anyone named *******. I contacted ************* said that was one of her ********** cleared up the confusion so they will be there on 9/3/22.On 8/31/22 2 movers showed up at my home with an unmarked ********* called ************** them away and she confirmed they would be back on 9/3/22. 9/3/22 the movers arrived again & I was confused as to why they didn't have anything with the *** brand or logo on the truck or attire like on the *********** asked if they were with *** and they said no, the job was brokered out to them & *** brokers out roughly 90% of their jobs. The carrier name on his paperwork was "your way movers" which is NOT on the contract I signed with ***. I was very upset because I was adamant when I booked with ***** that I was going with them for the sole purpose of not using a brokered moving company. Which he assured me that *** does not do. I called *** customer *********** was unable to reach ***** or *******. On 9/3/22 I spoke to another ******** was extremely rude saying I would forfeit my deposit if I didn't go ahead & let ****************** handle my move. He also said this happens often because the sales team makes their money off of the deposit, not the completed move. I sent the movers away. I filed a dispute with my credit card company **************** since *** did not complete the services, but they refused to credit back the charges and stated I needed to file a police report.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I just got off the phone speaking with the new "owner" **** and he said this was an issue with the old owner who didn't know what he was doing. Although he admitted it was their fault for sending a broker moving company and not showing up for the move themselves, he could NOT offer me a refund on my full deposit. But he could offer me half of it back ($600) to remove my negative review. I told him that was unacceptable and that as a single mother of two kids and an elderly mother to have to be forced to move herself via UHAUL and not be given a refund for services that were not rendered is ridiculous. Unless I receive my full deposit back of $1,200 I refuse to close this matter with Allegiance Van Lines.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: Allegiance Van Lines claims they are not willing to refund my deposit for the full amount. Unless I receive a refund for the full amount of $1,200 I reject their response. I would like a refund as soon as possible as this issue has dragged on long enough. I am a single mother that cannot afford to waste money nor for a business to take advantage of me as Allegiance has in this situation.

I am rejecting this response because: I called Allegiance Van Lines on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 1:56 pm CT and the call was forwarded to voicemail. I received a call back within 1 minute from them and I spoke with a woman named *******. I gave her my name and informed her of why I was calling she said everyone was off for the day but she would have someone return my call so I can receive my refund. It has been 5 days and I have not heard back from them yet. I refuse to accept their response because they claim they will work with me and give me a refund and when I contact them, they give me the run around and ignore me. I have had enough of their games. Can BBB do anything about this? How much longer will this keep going back and forth?
Sincerely,

We have tried to come to a common resolution with *******. Offered a sizeable compensation package and it was simply rejected. We tried and offered multiple times to no avail. She can reach us directly to reconsider, we're a kind and understanding company and are always looking to resolve any shortcomings one may have feel they experienced.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I have reached out to this company multiple times and to no avail they are not willing to work with me. Offering me $600 out of the $1,200 I was cheated out of is not a "sizeable compensation package" and it was rejected after the person who claimed he was the new owner yelled at me and flat out denied being apart of any of this since he just took control of the company. I still have yet to see any proof of that and believe it was another lie. To go back and forth with a customer over $1,200 is ridiculous especially since my continuous negative reviews will drive away thousands of dollars of business.I work for a banking company and have a lot of friends and family that are constantly moving and I have ensured they stay clear of this company and anyone associated with it. Last time I called, ******* stated someone would call me right back and they never did. I called back and my calls were ignored. This is getting to the point where a lawyer may need to get involved. A company should not be allowed to cheat it's customers like this and get away with it.
Thank you,

My partner and I signed a contract with this company to move our goods from CA to a new residence in ** 08-18-22 or 08-19-22, paying 30%, $750, up front. We called numerous times, and were promised it would happen the next day for sure. Finally, we were told on 08-23-22 that the drivers were unwilling to deliver for this amount; an agent there, ***************, told us he was going to work on getting us a refund, but he has failed to reach out to us. On calling, yet again, an agent (account manager or something he claims) named **** claimed he was going to "make this right", to wait until morning, and gave us his personal number (no answer, mailbox full of course). He also never called. Feels like a scam. Seemed legitimate - a shame they are doing this.Business Response

Hello, we refunded this customer due to the service failure we experienced on our end due to extenuation circumstances beyond our control. Its unfortunate they are still allowed to go online and publicly shame a hardworking honest company. Such is the world we live in these days I suppose and the BBB allows it. Such a shame.Customer Answer

We contracted with Allegiance Van Lines for our move from *******, ** to *******, **. Paid a deposit to Allegiance and Allegiance hired a contractor for the move. We still have not received our belongings and they are in violation of 30 day contract. I believe this to be a fraudulent business and that they have stolen our money and belongings. We have made several attempts to contact Allegiance asking for when our things will be delivered and we are given different reason why it has not been delivered. The number for the contractor they used has been disconnected and we were never able to communicate directly with them.Allegiance job #******* Allegiance who we contracted for the job contracted the job out to a ******** moving company. Again, phone number is disconnectedBusiness Response

********************* were picked up and serviced properly we have maintained contact with them throughout the process, even know we aren't the ones who actually moved them, we fulfill our promises of always being there for our customers from start to finish. We reserve the right to utilize local agents for pick *** that are on schedule but we experience extenuating circumstances. This is all outlined in the contract they signed and are well aware of this. This is the son leaving this negative feedback and was never apart of this process nor on any legal binding paperwork. So as far as we're concerned his complaint is null in void. Transmission issues with the trailer en route delayed this delivery and they were made privy to the info as we were. We apologize for any inconvenience and will do our best to rectify any shortcomings. Thank you and if you should have any questions please reach out- The *** TeamInitial Complaint

I would like to start out with This is NOT a moving company it is a broker that Hires 3rd party moving companies. We used them for a move from central ***** to south ***** on 4/13. This was the biggest mistake I have ever made. In the beginning they were AWESOME told me everything I wanted to hear. Then as it got closer it went from bad to OMG I am screwed. 1st thing was when they said they could move my Jeeps and store them for a few days until we get to our new home.. Please note this was not a last-minute move I planned 4 months Prior....That was FALSE, they cannot store them they are delivered in 24 hours, so that meant some of us had to stay behind and wait for the 3rd parry moving service to pick up the vehicles, as well as additional hotel expenses. also, they had to make two trips and I needed to find a place to keep one of the vehicles for 3 days.24 hours prior to us needing to be out of the home (Due to closing) We had it planned that since there was 5 days from closing on our home to closing on the new home, we arranged with Allegiance van lines that our Items will be stored at one of their many storage locations at NO ADDITIONAL COST TO US, They say they cover storage for 30 days, same as vehicle storage.. (Sarcastic) everything that was told to us was a complete lie. We get the phone call from the actual moving company that they brokered out to. And he said he does not store items at no cost, and it would double our fee. He explained that he will need the additional money up front. So, I reached out to Allegiance, and they said they would handle it.. well the actual mover called us back and said either we agree to the additional cost or we will cancel the move, so we were put on a 3 way call with Allegiance (btw Allegiance did not know we were on the line) The mover explained that this was not part of the move on the site for brokers and movers, and said that he will not do this move since it was not listed correctly withBusiness Response

***** is grossly misinformed and misrepresenting his experience as evident with his inability to contain his emotions while slandering and berating out company in these responses. We're not a broker, find anywhere online where it reads that we are. You will not be able to do so. As a carrier, we do reserve the right to utilize a local agent when extenuating circumstances arise with scheduling. Clearly states this in the paperwork you signed and agreed to not once, but twice. You issues aren't with us as they are with the actual company who picked you up. When we reserve the move and how we deliver our work model throughout the sales call it is under the impression we are the ones picking you, whatever the schedule reads at the current time of the reservation is how our reps are trained to handle the booking process. Nothing was mislead or misinformed. You have 4 months to look over your paperwork and contract, to ask questions and provide anything new to your move etc. We're sorry you feel the need to defame out 5 star rated company. We wish you all the best in your new home and new endeavors!Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: Not one statement you provided was true. You did not explain why the day prior to the move all costs increased. We were informed by the mover that there is an additional cost for storage, as well as they had 30 business days before they even would deliver our items, as well as the additional miles added since they had to take our items back to ****** then to ***********. This all transpired 24 hours prior to the move, So we had no choice. And yes I had everything scheduled 4 months in advance and at the very last day is when everything that was explained to me changed and my costs doubled and I had no chance to resolve the issues beside just paying. Now you explained you are not a broker, but the definition of a broker is company that is contracted by a shipper to be a liaison between the shipper and a motor carrier to facilitate the movement of their property from origin to destination by accessing its vast network of carrier relationships.
Freight brokers make their money on the buy-sell spread it negotiates between the shippers billing rate and carriers invoice rate.
And that is EXACTLY what you did, The moving company was not affiliated with you, The Car Hauler was not affiliated with you..
You said search your website and no where it says you are a broker, and you are correct and that is why I claim false advertisementIf I am incorrect please provide proof that the compainies that moved my household and Vehicles are a part of your company and not a independent moving company..
And you mentioned I waited 4 months, and your right I did and the reason was simple I accepted that I was scammed and nothing I could do about it, But after time has passed I did not want another family have to go through what we did.
Not one thing that was explain to me were true.
Moving Costs Doubled
Storage Fee
Additional costs for additional miles due to storage
Storage of Vehicles
and all of this happened 24 hours prior to us closing on the house we sold.
Sincerely,
