I placed an order for a set of trimmers and a toner. Despite letting me place my order as if it were in stock, the trimmers were apparently out of stock. SalonCentric never emailed me to let me know this, just said my order was being shipped. They proceeded to ship me a $7 tube of toner, without the $70 set of trimmers, and charge me $12 for shipping. Obviously I never would’ve paid that shipping for just a $7 tube of shades EQ. I called in and asked for a refund of the shipping. They agreed and said it would be back in my bank account in 3-5 business days. Fast forward a week, the refund still isn’t there. So I called again one week after the initial call. They once again told me 3-5 MORE business days. I was told I’d be emailed when this went through. Fast forward another week, two weeks since the initial phone call, and they told me nothing was submitted until the second phone call, one week after the initial call. They said the refund was approved, but they need a card number to refund the money. No one ever asked me for this before on the other two calls, no one attempted to put it back on the original payment, and I received zero emails. So, TWO WEEKS after the initial call, and three phone calls later, they now say ANOTHER 3-5 business days until I get the refund. As you can see, I was lied to multiple times, not communicated with, and all over an issue that salon centric was the one to cause in the first place through their lack of proper inventory and communication. I spent over 40 minutes on the phone with them between holds and talking to reps just to get me $12 back. I will NEVER do business with this company again. Cosmoprof would NEVER act like this. Salon Centric is a major corporation and should be doing MUCH better than this. Take your business elsewhere where you’ll be treated properly. Absolutely wild.

The young lady who identified herself as ****** and as The Manager was extremely rude on the phone .Thus is not the first time . As a Disabled senior I am governed under ********* adults with disability act! ) this is HORRIFIC!! I requested a reasonable accommodation under *** SEC 504 which I have a right to do stating I wanted to speak to someone else due to her rudeness. She denied me and said I could call back and speak to her when I was ready to talk .When in fact my VOICE is one of my disabilities and one in which I do not have to explain but did .This same individual has lost my order of color before or simply did not call me when it was ready to pick up and AS THE MANAGER as she so rudely reminds me she is , she should be held accountable on every level ! After speaking to an advocate ( disability attorney) Civil Rights Discrimination should be no part of ANY business! Some disabilities are not always visible. *************** lady KNOWS I am as Iv told her multiple times now . Which makes it even more diabolical on my opinion ! When you are REPRIMANDED for not remembering a simple rule regarding having someone pick up product on your behalf ,which is why I called struggling to speak and in fact has a person designated ti pick up items on my behalf , who is in fact on a list because the same manager denied another reasonable accommodation which was to let the girl pick up without the signature till I could get out of hospital s d get the paper to sign and put her on it and it too was DENIED and get talked over and told shes told me THREE times o need product list ready that she cannot shop for me it is just awful!! All because i did not have product list ready ! Yelling over me when i am trying to use my voice , a voice i barely have !! I contacted my disability advocate as well as the *** of *********** , as well as the **************** for Salon Centric in ******* . I have been licensed through **** for approximately 39 yrs of my 60 yrs

Honestly, I loathe this store. The customer service is GARBAGE. If they didn't carry the products I need, I would never use them. Allow me to tell you the most recent story of horrific customer service... Placed an order on 3/15. Today is 4/5. The order has showed "in process" this whole time and they've held my charge hostage. So, I text the number they encourage customers to use for issues.... No answer. I call. The representative tells me "oh it was canceled because some of the products weren't in stock." Okay... It shows "in process" on the website? "Yeah, the website doesn't update." Okay.......... so you don't contact your customers to let them know the order was canceled? "I mean we try to but we don't always catch it." So instead of just contacting me, the customer, whom has been waiting for her order and giving me the option to cancel the out of stock item(s) and shipping the rest, you just... do nothing? "Yeah, sorry." My card still has a charge on it. So the store canceled my order WITHOUT TELLING ME and is still holding my money hostage. Wow. Just wow. If you have literally ANY OTHER OPTION for a salon store, use them.

Terrible customer service. Ordered items and spent over 150$ to get free shipping and items apparently were out of stock even though listed as in stock on the website and never out of stock. They dont even tell you the items are not being shipped, they just dont ship them. Had multiple chats with customer care agents who claimed the order would still ship, nope did not happen. I had to re order the out of stock items a few days later and of course pay shipping, even though I had paid over 150$ in the original order to get free shipping. I wont order with them again. Customer service gave me run around about these missing products and never offered to waive shipping for the missing items. Any other company I order from will send an update if items are out of stock and provide good communication so the consumer is aware. Not salon centric. I will stick to cosmoprof.

Everything said here and the myriad of other comments left on other "reviews" web sites is valid. Any one of us could site specific blame. I, personally, threw my hands up in surrender many years ago as BEAUTE CRAFT became MALY'S became the now L'Oreal monster. Like any corporation takeover, quality is lost on customer service as businesses grow larger many times. My review is specifically targeted at a now impossible business model. Customer service is long gone and absolutely belligerent, ignorant attitudes are what is now acceptable and rampant. We all see it in many facets of public service and is a prevalent norm. As a licensed hair stylist of 42 + years, I've never been treated more poorly than recently at the Monroe, Michigan store. It's reputation for revolving door management and general personnel is long standing. Now, it's no better than a vulgar blight on wholesale products for the industry. I've never been spoken to so rudely. Ever. ( This after listening to the current manager's rant about her ex husband and current live in. A now common occurrence anytime you might visit this location) The straw for me was being turned away after repeated inquiries about doing a shade trade. No reason given other than " I don't want to do your shade trade" from the current manager, who was sitting on her phone while eating yogurt at the front counter. There have been absolutely lovely managers come and go at this store. My head spins thinking of how ridiculously run this once classy, friendly place has become a trashy representation of my profession's beauty supply. I've hesitated to write this for over a year. Now, I realize there's nothing to lose and absolutely no reason to hope for change or improvement, regardless of where the problems lie. Thanks for nothing, Salon Centric.

I recently ordered almost $600 worth of products for my business. After 10 days I called to see what the progress was. My order was never received. They took my payment, but didn't tell me they couldn't fill my order because the warehouse was out of stock on over half of my supplies. I've reached out twice and spoken to representatives. No refund, no supplies, and nothing to show for my issue.

I visited this location a week ago (my second time visiting this location).
I could not find the dermalogica where I saw it at originally my first visit. I proceeded to ask the cashier did they move it and a women with blonde hair by the name of “Sherry” interjected and said “yes we have it right over here at the front”. I responded and said “okay thank you”, and as I was walking past her to visit the dermalogica section, I heard her mumble under her breath “yea so we can watch you”. I was in disbelief when I heard her say that. I don’t believe she knew I heard her. When it was time for me to check out I also noticed how she was being very observant of me when she was not even the employee servicing me. I feel as though I was being profiled. The entire experience was uncomfortable and I will not be visiting this location again. The owner reached out to me in regards to the situation after I left a review on google. Her response was insincere and all I was mainly told was, the situation would be dealt with and, I can “comfortably” shop at “any” of their locations. This is not resolving the situation and as a Licensed Professional/Student who was actually in uniform while shopping, I will be purchasing my products from Dermalogica directly moving forward.
