    I contracted Sunshine Corporate Filings, LLC to register my business, *****************, along with its managing company (Cost $195). Initially, I requested the name *************************; however, upon being informed that this name was unavailable, I provided an alternative: *********************. Despite this, Sunshine Corporate Filings erroneously submitted the registration under the unavailable name, as confirmed in their email correspondence.Since December 1, 2024, I have made multiple attempts to have this error corrected. My initial email received a response that failed to address the core issue. Follow-up phone calls went unanswered, and after persistent outreach, I finally spoke with a manager who acknowledged the mistake and assured me the correction would be made at no additional cost. However, I was later informed that the accounting department denied this resolution, and I was instructed to file a name change at my own expense.This issue arises solely from an error on Sunshine Corporate Filings part. As such, I am requesting either:- A refund of the filing fee, or - That the company files the annual report and makes the correction, as this is the more cost-effective solution (cost of $138).

    August 2nd 2024 I spoke to a representative and they sold me on services that would change the address that showed up when my business was looked up on the state registry to their address and would also then automatically have all the mail sent to them to filter it out junk and they would only send me the important mail. She also convinced me to pay them $50 more to file with the state for me. Excellent! So I paid the $85 for the change of address and filing that day. August 16th I reached out to them over phone and email and did not get any response until Friday August 30th. When I realized it took them 14 days to respond to my previous request, I checked on the state registry and also noticed that the service I paid for had not been provided, so, on August 30th I tried calling to get an update and when I was unable to reach a live person, AGAIN I followed up with 2 emails explicitly explaining my dissatisfaction with response time and the fact that my information was still showing up incorrectly on the state registry. They did not respond until September 12th (!) simply stating that they would follow up with the right ***** Sept 16th I try to call again (get no live person). October 2nd, still they had not filed...I reached out again. October 3rd they admit ANOTHER oversight and are going to deal with it. October 4th I ask for proof and they do not respond or provide it. October 11th they finally file, and it is NOT the service I paid for. There is some more back and forth but they never fixed it and then tell me in December that I would have to file and pay separately for the service I requested despite that being what I HIRED THEM FOR. When I called today, March 5th 2025, to address that they never delivered any service I paid for, the woman I spoke to was patronizing and rude, then admitted there is evidence that I was misled, only partially refunded me, but kept my $85, even though it was clear I was misled about the services I believed I was paying for.

That is never our intention and we want our customers to come away from working with us satisfied and with less stress and not more.     I am rejecting this response because: They called and left a voicemail with the same general number to try to reach and when I tried to call back hit the same issues I have in the past with them not answering and the inability to leave a voicemail. They did not offer a direct line for the person who called and all other times I tried to call, including the time with the patronizing and rude representative, I sit on hold for extended times or have to wait days for a call back, if I ever even get one. Trying to get through to them has become a waste of time as no one gets back unless, apparently, you go to this extent. They did not even bother to follow up with an email. At this point is has been plenty of time for them to follow up again (almost 2 more complete business days) - especially considering that it is impossible to leave a message if I call after hours. If they wanted to resolve and repair this, they need to refund me and then keep trying to reach out for repair, but this is beyond bad business. This will not be resolved until the money they took for services never rendered is back in my account, if they want to offer anything beyond that to try and repair, they can put in the effort to do so additionally.

    I use Sunshine Corporate Filings for **************. I only ever signed up for their registered agent service ($35 per year).This month, they started sending me invoices for $239 for an annual report filing service which I never signed up for. I do not need this service at all, but they decided to make this an opt-OUT instead of an opt-IN.Yesterday, my bank texted me saying that Sunshine tried to charge my credit card for $239 twice. I have signed up for $35 per year in services, and they are trying to charge me not only that but also $478 in addition to that. This is an extreme ripoff especially when considering that the $35 service only includes forwarding 3 pieces of mail per year. Sunshine is also continuing to send me Unpaid Invoice emails.I logged into their website yesterday and canceled this service, but it still says it was paid for through 2026, with no options for a refund.I also emailed them before they opened today. They have not responded. In this, I sent proof from ****** that I had filed my annual reports (including this year's) myself. I already pay for it when I file with the state. From previous BBB complaints:- "we would never authorize such a charge on your behalf without your consent." - this is a blatant lie. Why would an "unauthorized" charge from them be on my credit card?- "send multiple notifications via email alerting customers to any pending charges and giving them the opportunity to opt-out of any of our offerings." - Automatically charging for an unrelated service needs to be an opt-in, not an opt-out. (If I buy a shirt, don't give me a car too and charge me for both)- There is a BBB complaint about this same exact issue from 2 years ago. So this is very much part of Sunshine's business practices.They need to rectify this ASAP and ensure that I will not be charged for this additional service. But don't just fix this for me. Fix it for everyone, and send out an apology to anyone who has been affected by this.

This service is meant to help our clients businesses stay in good standing with the state and avoid late penalties that can be incurred. Many clients have found this service helpful as its one less thing to worry about.

    But, as you mentioned since you have already filed the annual report yourself and prefer to file it on your own going forward, we send those emails with how you can easily opt out with one-click from your secure client account. After opting out, you should not be receiving any further correspondence or invoices regarding the new filing service. From what you describe, there could possibly be an error in the billing system for your account as to why you've been receiving those invoices even after canceling the service. We will definitely look into that and make sure you do not receive any further invoices or pending charges. 

    One our agents will be in touch ensure that your account reflects only the registered agent service and that you will not be billed additional charges going forward. If you need a refund for a service you don't want, we can certainly initiate that for you, too. We're sorry again that you aren't happy with us at this time but we appreciate and value you as a customer and would really like to continue supporting your business needs.

    This company offers a service to help with Registered Agents for LLCs for a reasonable price. The problem is that on 1/21/2025 they automatically added a service, and a $239 annual charge to all their customers for a brand new service that no one authorized, asked for, or approved. ALL of their customers were enrolled in this without their consent or approval. They just did this because they had our credit card number on file. Nowhere in their customers' agreements with them does it grant them the ability to just start charging unapproved, expensive services. This happened to me, and probably ALL OF THEIR customers. This is a gross abuse, a fraudulent money grab, and potentally illegal.I was able to undo the charge on my CC, but they are probably getting away with this on countless victims. I reached out to them and they continue to say that their customers have to opt out of the new/unapproved services. They should immediately undo this bogus service added to all of their customers accounts, and send out an apology email to all users explaining their mistake. Otherwise, this could escalate and lead to a class action lawsuit.

    I am rejecting this response because: They are not doing a favor to their customers ... they have automatically started charging them for unwanted services without their consent. Saying that customers can "opt out" AFTER this company added these unwanted, unapproved services is a money grab, and potentially an illegal business practice. Just because you have customers' credit cards does NOT give you the right to arbitrarily start charging them for unknown/unapproved services. The company MUST retract this business practice, and unenroll all of their customers that they started charging for these unapproved services.

    It seems like there's some confusion on how this service is being offered as we offer ample opportunities and send multiple messages regarding this service and we try to make it as easy as possible (just a few clicks in your secure online account) to opt out of the service. If for some reason the charge still goes through before you are able to opt out, it's just as easy to cancel and request a refund. We really don't want to keep arguing about this and in no way meant for you to feel deceived by us. If there's anything we can do to help clear this up, please let us know but we understand if you want to take your business elsewhere. We'd be sad to lose you as a customer though.

    Your business model is wrong, and probably illegal. Based on what you are saying, if you shopped at ******* and used your CC, you would be fine with ******* just sending you products you never authorized and charging your CC because it is in "your best interest". You must discontinue this practice immediately. Do not ever charge my CC in the future, for any non-authorized products, even if you think it is "in my best interest". Your customers cannot be forced to continually read thru emails you send to ensure they "opt out" of these purchases that they NEVER MADE.

    I dropped my previous registered agent and I had the deadline of when the yearly report was due to replace them. I hired this company based on the advertising information that stated for $35 we will at no additonal coast file your yearly report. So why not kill two birds with one stone. Typically I would pay to have a new registered agent reported but due to the time my yearly report was due. I reached out to them several times with no response as to why my information was not updated, even sharing my concern with the time delay. on the day after the yearly report was due I realized that my non profit had been listed as inactive due to failure to report registered agent. Now hear me out, I called this company and was treated like c*** they are rude and unwilling to take accountability trying to spin a narrative that I did not specifically hire them to have them report that they were the new agent. Here is where it gets unbelievable, The male manager admitted they had intention of dong my included yearly report payed service but then realized I was inactive. WTF first off the yearly report had a date line. I sent 4 emails prior to this where the question was never answered they then turned around and tried to charge me over 350$ to have them fix it and reinstate me. They must think I am stupid because this company was obligated to do the yearly report which they failed to do which in turn would have reported them as the registered agent. But they're trying to scam. Because I was not listed inactive until after the deadline. Which proves that they did not check my account until after the already missed deadline. They had an obligation to do a service prior to that due date. I hired them at the beginning of April. This is a clear and utter case of attempted fraud and false advertisement. If this is not resolved and I am not made active I will be filing a report with the state attorney and asking them the same question as to why the yearly report was not finished ontime

    We're sorry that there seems to have been alot of confusion during your experience working with us. But in looking into this complaint, I found that you have already spoke with several of our customer care agents and their supervisors who have tried to clear up any misperceptions. Based on that we're not sure what more can be done to resolve your situation. 

    According to our records, your previous Registered Agent resigned the state admin dissolved your company. Your company was dissolved because of these actions of your previous Registered Agent, not because we did not file in time when you hired us. 

    To further clarify, we do not file the Annual Report for free, our fees also include the fees charged by the state, we're sorry if you were confused about that but we state that on our website when you sign up for this service. 

    If you would like we want to offer to reinstate your company for $236.25 which is the state-mandated fees but we would not charge you our normal $100 filing fee as a courtesy. Please contact us at ************** or ******************************** if you would like our assistance getting your business reinstated.

    I am rejecting this response because you couldn't be more out of touch. First off not only did you just waste my time and the better Business bureau but you full out lied.

    Let me recap

    I was not resolved for my prior registered agent. I removed them.

    I was given a specific time frame of when to replace them.

    When I hired your joke of a service I was fully active.

    I would have thought you'd use your brain cells when responding to such a complaint. As per the two provided screen shots. I infact did buy the package that advertised free yearly report.

    More so your rude a** manager stated the reason it didn't get done is because when they went to complete it I was dissolved.

     

    Let me say it very clear so your narrow mind can comprehend

     

    You would not had to worry about the dissolving had the yearly report been completed on time

     

    SO not only did you violate my purchase items you also attempted very poorly to lie when I have all supporting documentation and proof . Not only will you compensate for the money lost due to this unethical bs you have just earned yourself a federal complaint in ref to the. How stupid you people gotta be. I'll be hiring an attorny good luck with your fake information that doesn't have any grounds based on my receipt and your displayed Info. Dumbasses

    I purchased a $35 per year service for a Registered Agent. They charged me for a $238 for a service I did not buy (an annual report), and after my complaint they refunded it, and now have sent me an invoice for another service I did not buy (use of a phone number). I have asked via email on numerous occasions for them to leave me alone. The emails and charging for extra services has continued. No doubt they charge many people who aren't paying close attention to their credit card and get away with it. I want to keep my use of their business for a Registered Agent (because I don't want to bother with purchasing from another company and giving that info to the ****************, what a f****** hassle), but I want the company to send me no further emails or false charges for further services I did not order.
