Gulf Coast Collection Bureau called me today from telephone number ************. I was asked to verify personal information to which I responded "No". I asked what type of debt is this for? I was hung up on. I called the number back and verified my D.O.B., I was told that I owed over $800.00 in medical debt (8/2022) and I replied that I have had Florida Blue over 10 years and I was Never under a self pay non insured status? I was then told that I would have to pay because it is Too Late To File A Claim? I stated that maybe they were Out Of Luck in this case as No one has Ever Contacted Me? They wanted to confirm ****************** as my mailing address? I stated that there has Never been a mail box at this address and that ALL mail has Always gone to P.O. Box 2, ***********, ** *****. Then they stated that I had another medical debt from Several Years Ago? I replied as of this date 3/20/2023 I have never received Any bills of any type that are not paid in full? I was hung up on Again?Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
My initial request was VERY CLEAR YOU NEVER Provided me with a certified copy of an original contract, with my signature specifically naming your company as a person entitled to enforce a commercial claim against me . Certifications can be done through the presence of a notary public, who duly swears the copy made is in fact a copy of the original paper contract in question.
A copy of an alleged bill with an unknown company is simply not enough satisfactory proof that I, personally, incurred this alleged debt. REQUEST ANY DEROGATORY INFORMATION REPORTED TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS BE REMOVED if I find this entry on my credit report later interferes with my ability to obtain credit with favorable terms, I will bring suit against your company and the original creditor for all applicable damages, as well as for statutory penalties provided under the ***** and FCRA.
Sincerely,

I have received multiple robocalls for the past 3 months about a supposed debt. Now they have gone so far as to start texting me. Not once have I been named on the call, nor have they indicated what the debt is, only that I need to call back to discuss the debt. I do not have any unpaid debt. I am not going to speak to someone over the phone about some supposed debt. That sounds like a scam. I have received nothing in the mail regarding any unpaid debt from this agency, nor have I received anything regarding any unpaid debt from a creditor or health agency.Business Response

I just received a phone call from a representative at Gulf Coast collections. The person whose name they asked for, I did not recognize. I assumed that they were trying to reach my father because the first initial was correct as well as the last name. Because the first name was incorrect, I let them know that I didnt find credibility in their phone call. I thought that would be pretty understandable. The representative then told me in a very aggressive tone you better tell your DADDY to give Gulfcoast Collections a call. My father has socialized healthcare. He does not pay anything for services. He suffers from dementia and epilepsy. Im so glad that he did not receive a call from this vile woman.Business Response

This company calls me nonstop (sometimes from a fake business then that is not their own) and has sent people over to my ex boyfriend's house many times, used two vehicles to block him into his driveway, dug through his mailbox, yells at him through the door, threatens him, all because of a medical bill that I TRIED to pay! The hospital after giving them my insurance card in the emergency room and over the phone or on a later date, never ran the charges through my insurance. A hospital visit on my insurance is $350. The bill that the hospital has on me is $1800. There's no way on god's green earth I'm going to pay $1800 if the hospital is too stupid to run the charges through my insurance like a professional establishment should. The third time I called to try to pay what I actually owe, I was on hold for 45 minutes and never reached anyone. They are impossible to deal with. The main problem, though, is that they will not leave my ex alone. He is getting upset at me, and I cannot do anything about it. I'm pretty sure it is illegal to do the things that they are doing. They are also scaring the kids in the neighborhood because they walk around snooping around people's houses.Business Response

Ms. ***** alleges this account should have been paid by insurance. The creditor was provided Cerner Health Plan as the insurance carrier by Ms. *****. The claim was filed with Cerner. When Cerner did not respond to the claim, the creditor contacted the plan and was advised the consumer was not found as an insured. Ms. ***** should follow up with her insurance carrier to determine why the claim was not paid by the insurance company.
GCCB has not sent anyone to attempt to collect or discuss this account at Ms. ***** (or anyone else's) residence or place of business. If Ms. Perms sees someone is tampering with her or someone else's mailbox or snooping around her house, GCCB recommends Ms. ***** call the police.
If Ms. ***** has any further questions, he may contact GCCB at XXX-XXX-XXXX, by email at ***************@gulfcoastcollection.com or by mail. Thank you.
