    The company advertises on their web site that they sell a shaft adapter for a Ping G430 driver. Their item description clearly states that the adapter will have 8 different loft and lie adjustments and specifies the range of adjustments. When I received the adapter I noticed that it was different from the Ping adapter on my genuine Ping driver. The adapter from ShaftConnect is obviously a counterfeit product that they sell. It is marked with the correct markings and the adapter will fit into a Ping G430 driver head, but it will NOT change any loft/lie settings when it is rotated to any of the 8 different positions. So this is clearly a lie, and deceptive and false advertising. If they stated that the adapter will fit a Ping G430 head but not have the ability to change the loft/lie settings, then they would be truthful. I end up losing $7.99 for shipping when I returned the adapter to them.

    The customer placed an order on 2/3/2024 in the amount of $22.99 + $6 shipping ($28.99). The customer was sent a free return label to send back the product. In addition, the order was fully refunded - We waived the normal return label (restock) fee and reimbursed the customer for the original shipping paid. We have no financial obligation to the customer.  Proof of the refund is attached to this response. In regards to advertising, our adapters are advertised as aftermarket and clearly identified as our brand. This product has been a big seller for a number of years and this is the first raised issue about the "functionality" of the product. We do appreciate the feedback received from the customer and our team is looking into his claim so that we can ensure there are no product defects.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    You have not pulled the item from your website. Most importantly, you have not changed the product information which is still incorrect. Your product will NOT do what you advertise it will do. Your description claims the adapter will change loft and lie - THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INCORRECT!! IT IS FRAUD AND A LIE!!

    You need to delete the false product description from your website - it is totally fraudulent information. You are clearly trying to keep this product on the market when you know it is a cheap, non-functioning Chinese knock-off that you can make a profit from selling to unsuspecting customers. It will not change loft and lie!

    Unfortunately, the customer is not sharing accurate information. As previously mentioned, this adapter has been sold for many years with nothing but great feedback. The adapter absolutely does change the loft and lie of the golf club. While the customer's feedback was noted, there is nothing that qualifies this customer as an "expert" on the functionality of a product we sell. Our team has reviewed the customer's comments and have determined the comments to be inaccurate. We owe this customer $0. We waived our restocking fee as a courtesy before his complaint was filed. There will be no further action on our end as we have no obligation to this customer.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    The company claims their product works - it does not! I have a video clearly showing that their adapter does nothing and shows the genuine Ping adapter changing loft and lie. I would be happy to send it to you if you provide a way to upload a mp4 video file.

    I am sure they have sold many of these adapters to unwitting customers who just assumed they work. I am a certified club fitter and repairman. I have been doing this work for over 20 years. I have a strong science background to analyze and measure clubs. The fact is their adapter is a cheaply made Chinese knock-off that they sell for profit. I don't know of any adapter that actually works except for the genuine Ping adapter purchased from Ping. When I talked to people at Ping they said they didn't know of any aftermarket adapter that works.

    I am sure this company does not want to comply with my requests. They did waive the re-stocking and return shipping fees - I did not ask them to do this. I did not expect them to do this. they only did this after receiving my compliant with the BBB in an attempt to placate me.

    They should be honest about their product! Just remove the description that states the adapter changes loft and lie. That way they would not be lying and continuing to commit fraud.
