      Call Lagrow Irrigation ************, to give a quote/proposal on repairing sprinkler system. **** (#************) came out look at system and provide a price/quote to replace possible non-working item. We said thank you and that we will review and possible call back to have work done... A week later we got a bill for $85 for Service Call.. Called and spoke to ****, he said the company don't usually billed for proposal, but because some customer said they will call back to have service done and then don't, and that's why they invoice me for the service call. We called and spoke to ******** and then a very rude and unprofessional personnel name ***** called me back, phn#************, looking to argue, saying that he knows some company don't charge that fee, but since we didn't decide to move forward, they decided to charge me a Service call fee.. Then he hung up. This is shady, fraudulent bad business practice. This charge should have been disclose upfront prior to scheduling or coming out!

      Customer ***************************** not the gentleman that have called in or wrote this complaint. Ms. ******** called and asked for a service call saying that her system is not working. She did not ask for a quote/proposal. We sent out a Tech. ********************** (the manager) explained to the Gentleman that we were asked for service, to check irrigation that was not working. She (******** not the Gentleman) did not ask for a quote. He (**********************) explained to him we don't do free service calls. He (the gentleman) said everyone else does and again ********************** explained that we are not everyone else. The gentleman the got belligerent again (as he did when talking to our Receptionist) and ********************** told him we would credit **** and black list for no future service. The gentleman then said that he was going to report ** to the BBB saying that he didn't ask for a service. ********************** told the gentleman do what he has to and hung up do to him being so rude.    

      As far as the office. We have no phone records of any numbers that we have on the gentleman or Ms. ******** calling multiple time. Our phone system tracks every call that comes in via email. He (the gentleman) did try to call the Tech. That is the Tech personal phone so he is not answer calls that he does not recognize. We prefer that the customer call the office directedly. When the Tech forwarded the txt message that the gentleman had sent into the office, the receptionist did call the gentleman back. He then started to get rude and belligerent with her. All she was doing is her job. Trying to get information to pass it to the right person to get it taken care of.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      We have reviewed other online comments (complaints) from numerous victims and this is a well documented practice or scam perpetuated by Lagrow Irrigation, we are NOT  the only one! I will have included an online thread below. There are many others victims reporting negative and fraudulent practices &/or complaints about this company.

      Requested a quote/estimate to have a digital irrigation controller installed at my house. The technician evaluated my system and said it would cost more than $1,000. I said no thanks. Got a bill for $85. Tried calling, no answer, left message. Emailed also, no response. There was no expressed or implied cost for the estimate. Still unresolved. Update: 2/6/23 - Received email stating that the invoice has been cancelled.
