      My mom's vehicle was impounded yesterday afternoon today she called artistic towing to see how much it was gonna cost to get the vehicle out of impound. She was told her that it would be 400 plus. He told her 2 call him when she was ready to get the vehicle. She said it'd be a little bit and he said fine. This business is open 24 hours a day, new Florida bill signed into law effective July 1 2024 states, " The storage facility must be open from 8 AM to 6 PM on any day the towing company is open. If the facility is closed, the towing company must return to the facility within one hour of a call to open it." She called to get her vehicle and was told no. That she'd have to wait until tomorrow which is a Sunday because he didn't have anyone to open the lot for her. He was on his way to ***** and his other driver to Ocala both of which are roughly 2 1/2 to 3 hours away this is at 430pm. Both already in route. My mom asked about after either returned he said absolutely not forget about it it is not happening. They have 2 shops and only 2 people working, how? I called and inquired and he was belligerent and rude. I informed him of the law and he said I don't give a shit! I'm not releasing the car tonight. He proceeds to tell me that I have to wait until Monday after 8 am but told my mom Sunday after 8 am. We are barely getting by and CANNOT afford two more days of fees. They are in cahoots with the police department and get away with the unimaginable. Just take a look at their reviews. It's disgusting what these people do, stealing money and items from people towed vehicles. We have had to deal with them before and it was the same treatment. I do not understand how they are still in business other than protection from the police department. And good luck contacting the owner. He's unreachable multiple people have attempted to contact him about how his employees run his business and nothing. Something needs 2 be done and soon. They shouldn't be allowed 2 do this 2 people.
