  • Pending Government Action:
    Government Action: BBB reports on known government actions involving business’ marketplace conduct:
    FTC vs Automation Industries LLC dba Click Profit LLC and Jason Masri

    The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the government’s allegations.

    FTC vs Automation Industries, LLC dba Click Profit and Jason Masri, individually and as an officer, director, or owner of Automation Industries LLC and Click Profit Distribution LLC, et al.

    On March 5, 2025, the Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”), has filed its Complaint in the United State District Court for the Southern District of Florida (Case No. 1:25-cv-20973-JB) for Permanent Injunction, Monetary Judgment, and Other Relief for a temporary restraining order, asset freeze, other equitable relief, and an order to show cause why a preliminary injunction should not be issued against Defendants.

    Defendants’ have engaged in ongoing violations of the FTC Act, the Business Opportunity Rule, the CRFA, and the Impersonation Rule.

    Defendants, in the marketing and selling of business opportunities, have violated the FTC Act as well as other laws enforced by the Commission by:

    (1) making false or unsubstantiated claims about earnings, their affiliation with well-known brands, and their use of artificial intelligence;

    (2) violating multiple trade regulation rule provisions in the selling of Defendants’ products or services, and

    (3) using threats and non-disparagement clauses to discourage purchasers from publishing truthful reviews about Defendants and their products or services.

    Defendants have taken at least $14 million from consumers in connection with their unlawful practices.

    There is good cause to believe that irreparable damage to the Court’s ability to grant effective final relief for consumers—including monetary restitution, rescission, or refunds—will occur from the sale, transfer, destruction, or other disposition or concealment by Defendants of their assets or records, unless Defendants are immediately restrained and enjoined by order of this Court.

    It is ordered that Maria M. Yip is appointed as temporary receiver of the Receivership Entities with full powers of an equity receiver.
