In February, I received a letter (dated February 18) from my property management company stating that I have over $1500 in unpaid maintenance fees, as well as over $500 in late fees, interest, and collection fees and that I had not made a payment on my account in over 8 months. I called them immediately and provided them with documentation showing the monthly payments have been deducted from my bank account automatically every month and that my account was in fact paid in full/up to date. They said they would look into the matter. They fail to return phone calls and emails and repeatedly drop the ball. I have yet to hear from anyone to resolve this issue, now dragging on for more than 4 weeks.

Forcing me to electronic bill pay by issuing late fees and administrative fees that are outrageous. When they offer mail as an option to payment for maintenance fees for my condo, it has to be remitted to a ***** address. You typically dont get a set date for that payment. It is reasonable to assume since they offer snail mail as payment to be able to accommodate that as the postal service is out of my control. I have a forensic complaint about this company for when they first came on as property management as well. I have remained silent about that loss of money. And lastly, I cant afford their fees for every little thing they do! They over charge for everything. Further they gave no details about the fee of $654.54. They just say pay it. I feel undue pressure at this time in my life when I struggle already to meet the regular monthly maintenance fee. I dont believe the above fee is fair. They will suggest I electronically pay my bill. I dont wish to electronically. My option for payment by mail to what I think is a third party address should be accommodated. A-G Management owes me money if anything. What options do I have being unable to pay their supposed late/administrative fee. I do not trust this company. What can I do? I have no idea where to move to. If I cant afford their fees and assessments, I have nowhere to go. This bill comes with their raising fees and give an assessment for ****. What happens when you cant pay? I would need help finding a lawyer to afford.

The condominium governing documents provides when payments are due along with the late fee amount and interest rate. The monies are not paid to Avant-Garde Management. They are paid directly to Park Square Condominium which is this consumer's condo association. When owners submit their payments, it goes directly to ****************** (Southstate) who actually processes the payment and uploads daily deposit files into the Avant-Garde software. Owners are responsible to insure their payment is received on a timely manner. The monthly condo dues are due on the 1st of each month and they provide a 10-day grace ******* Attached is a copy of the payment option letter that has been provided to owners on multiple occasions informing them of their Association policy. This is provided so owners are informed and not surprised.  If you need us to provide the Park Square Condo governing documents, please let us know. Thank you.
