I was told the air conditioner on my truck would be fixed for 1,670,00 and would have a one year warranty . After not quite 2 months the AC went out again and I was told they would have to replace something else for another 800.00. This is ridiculous and a ripoff and I will see them in small claims court.

All repair's performed at Hilton Automotive do have a 12 month, 12,0000 mile warranty. When Mr. ******* came to us on 5/10/2022, he needed an evaporator as it had a large leak. The evaporator is indeed part of the air conditioner. It is the part inside the passenger compartment that actually gets cold then air blows across it thus cooling the air. The repair went well and Mr. ******* Had a functioning air conditioner. Just under 3 months later 7/30/2022, Mr. Wilson returned with diminished cooling. We tested the system and found his compressor was not functioning properly, the compressor is a part located in the engine compartment that provides the energy to the air conditioning system. Mr. *******s truck is 14 years old and a compressor failure would not be considered unusual at that age especially after a period of not using the previously broken system. Although it is by no means the fault of our company that a 14 year old compressor gave up we offered to replace the compressor at cost as a matter of good will, thus the greatly reduced price of $800.00 for replacement of compressor and related components.

It is not likely that two parts broke down so soon apart. This is their excuse for not repairing it the right way the first time.
