I keep receiving letters from this company, pretending to be Aetna, which is my current insurance company. Aetna is not associated with this entity, and letters appear to be a scam.BeneLynk

Ljuba, Please contact Aetna to validate BeneLynk's partnership with them. We are here to assist you, if you qualify for the additional benefits. A short questionnaire will determine your eligibility. As stated in the letter, this is a voluntary service and we understand if you are not interested. We recommend that members, at least, give us a call so we can answer questions and put them in touch with additional benefits at no cost to them. We do not ask for credit card numbers, money transfers or any other form of payment and would encourage everyone to disconnect the call if that happens.

Benelynk.com has sent forms wanting to represent my father in health matters. In our state my father is automatically renewed to his healing insurance unless he chooses to change it. Benelynk's letter states that my father must renew and they want to have access to his information.BeneLynk

BeneLynk is a contractual partner of your father's health plan. Our services assist health insurance companies with several products as detailed on our website, ********************************************; One of these services is to monitor renewal dates for ******** and offer to assist those members that *** need help with recertification. If you, as your father's representative, will give us a call, we will note your father's file as not needing assistance and discontinue the outreach. We would do it now, but do not have the details needed to identify your father's record.Review fromJOSE P

This company preys on older people by sending letter disguised with the health insurance letter head. They pretend to be working with insurance companies to request information from veterans. Don't respond as the very same letter are scam and who knows what they will do if the letter are signed and sent back as they request.BeneLynk

My father received a phishing mail from Benelynk disguised as United Healthcare, and it's concerning. This scam preys on vulnerable older individuals. Please take action to prevent further harm to those who are susceptible.Thank you!BeneLynk

**, thank you for providing us with your feedback and the opportunity to respond. Your perception of our company is the opposite of our mission. We do realize in the world today, one cannot be more careful and protective of their personal information. It seems that regardless of how much we try to demonstrate we are here to assist members of our health plan partners, there is justifiable skepticism about receiving something for no additional cost. Once we do engage with our customers, the interaction is very positive. It is difficult to overcome the harm scams have done through written communication which is why we encourage people to call us or research our mission at **********************************************;Review fromCecilia R

I keep getting shady sounding letters from Benelynk, but I was wary with the first one because, first of all, they were asking for info that ****************** already had. Then it looked sus because it was on shiny paper with blue ink. I've never received anything from UHC on shiny paper. They were also asking for information that sounds like the kind of things scammers ask for. When I did call UHC, they told me they knew nothing about any such affiliation. I would advise anyone to steer clear of this company.BeneLynk

Thank you, *******, for your feedback. We are actively working with our partners to ensure all employees are aware of the relationship with BeneLynk as we are their social government referrals department. I received letters from United Health Care (UHC) only to find that Benelynk is using UHC's stationary to phish for *******. First came a letter with an "urgent" request to return a form with one question on it - are you a veteran? I was ready to mail it back, but then received a letter ostensibly from UHC, with a form to designate Benelynk as my "Authorized Representative" so they can assist me in getting Medicare (AHCCS in Arizona). They actually say "UHC wants to assist you with your renewal". Very strange and concerning. In response to some of these reviews Benelynk says they want to help in procuring the benefits people deserve, but the language in the letters is almost threatening, talking about "requiring that you follow any state notice requirements to keep your coverage". They maintain that their services are voluntary yet use aggressive language. I had AHCCS for several years, then was denied coverage due to too much income. I adjusted my UHC plan and have moved on. I don't need an unknown company with shady motives to represent me. I have had enough of the Healthcare industry calling, trying to represent themselves as a great deal. I wish UHC would divest themselves from this company and that the BBB would lower their rating of them.BeneLynk

We apologize for any concern and/or confusion this outreach may have caused. One of the social services we are hired by health plans to provide is assisting members with the **************** Program renewal processes. The state *********************** conducts that renewal and BeneLynk provides assistance to ensure the member knows what is needed and has a plan to submit the required forms and documentation. We understand you are no longer utilizing AHCCS so this may not apply. If you have any questions about the work that BeneLynk does, please review our website and FAQs at benelynk.com.Review fromCyndee W

Hi, so yeah this is a ****! They are not affiliated with United Healthcare! When I called United Healthcare she told me NOT to fill out the form! The BeneLynk paperwork informed me that my coverage was in danger and I had to fill out personal information and send it back or I was about to be cut off. PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT THIS PAPERWORK! The woman at United even Googled it and she said a number of people had called in about it. If you ever get paperwork in the mail asking for personal information, do not even call any numbers on that paperwork, call your healthcare directly from a trusted phone number that you had previously. Stay safe everyone!BeneLynk

1 starI received correspondence from this company stating my benefits would be canceled soon if I don't send the documents they sent me in to their office before the deadline. I asked when is the deadline she said it look like late March. I have never had to have a 3rd party to advocate for me. When j got off the phone I called my Healthcare Provider and they know nothing about this company and I was informed by my Provider that my benefits are not expiring and that I should trash the paperwork and not give them any information on me that they could use in a fraud or scam way.Review fromCharles T

1 star1-27-24; 11:23 a.m. Chatting with UHC; Peter. Peter advises me to call Benelynk on Monday to ask why they want the FED form 10-5345 filled out. So, apparently, UHC really doesn't know why Benelynk wants the information. See canned response below. I just thew the form away.
"Charles, I see that this is applied for a wide variety of assistance programs that can help to improve the financial and/or social challenges identified for the members. This assistance includes:
Helping members enroll and recertify for Medicare Savings Programs (MSP) if they qualify
Assisting members to enroll in the Low-Income Subsidy (LIS) if they qualify
Assisting members to recertify/reapply for Medicaid if applicable
Helping connect members with a variety of community-based programs that are no cost to the member and can help address additional social and financial needs of the member."Review fromD. E. B

Well I got the exact same letter "authorization of assistance" release form. I have never heard of this company, nor has nv medicaid or UHC sent me any info pertaining 2 them. The BBB says they r located in Conn, yet their letter (w/ S.A.S.E) has me sending my release2******** Does this appear a little scammie 2 any1 but me? I feel this letter is misleading. I dont know where they got my info or from whom. & by using the UHC logo on the leatterhead, i feel they r misrepresenting themselves & any1 that signs this document is a fool. Somethin' dont smell right about all this & if the BBB will do nothing, well then I will. I will be contacting ******* ********* ****** ***** & explain in detail what I c as a violation of my constitutional right not 2 b bothered by u disreputable *****. I do not know wut ur agenda is, i dont kno wut ur business model is, i just kno that companies like urs r the reason I should CHECK OUT & RESEARCH ANY BUSINESS WHO CONTACTS ME UNSOLICITED (wanting2offer me something4free@the cost of my privacy). I also wil b contacting UHC & Medicaid/Medicare to see if there is any reciprocity that can be gained. May God gift ur investors & corporate heads w/ everything they so richly deserve. In my opinion, i feel, ur company is predatory & should NOT have the ability 2 contact me 4 anything wutsoever.BeneLynk

Thank you, ******, for sharing your concern so we can incorporate your feedback into improving our communications. The letterhead we use is at the discretion of our health partner. We find that using the health plan's letterhead, in most instances, will reassure the recipient that we are reaching out on their behalf. We have been successful in connecting over a million members to services they are entitled to and will be beneficial at not cost to them. However, we do understand the skepticism and are working to improve the first impression to continue to build trust as BeneLynk and on behalf of our health plan partners. For more information on the services we provide, please refer to BeneLynk.com.
