I have a med. procedure done at ********. Hospital, *******, **. And, all three of my insurance companies info was given to all doctors, the hospital and my surgeon. Yet, this company continually will not file with my 2d and 3d insurance companies, claiming the bill is outstanding! As they bill me, I respond with the info on the bill and have even called them numerous times, but yet they just keep billing me or calling me. I have even spoken to a supervisor who claimed they would take care of this once I gave them my insurance companies again. This is harassment when they are not doing their job and/or the personnel in the medical facilities for documenting my insurance companies. Why hasn't the state **** of insurance done something about this company. The only problem I am is with this company and their billing is out of PO Box ******, ************, ** 49528-0103. Yet, the pmts are mailed to a Chicao, ** address. My next step is to file a complaint with the ******** and North Carolina ************************* and file for harassment and damage.*****, *****, ** My ID Number for this acct is ********

I visited the clinic in ****** office and did a detailed ultrasound on Feb 2023. Before the procedure, I asked the staff what the price would be. But nobody can tell me any price information. Months later, I received a medical bill of $ ******* for one ultrasound test. They made an adjustment to $626.97. Still this bill came to me with a surprise.

Same story as everyone else who has left a review for this company. Pediatrix/Mednax run their business either hoping that people will blindly pay their bills no questions asked, or they are totally incompetent. After requesting that they re-file a claim through my insurance that was originally filed incorrectly, over several phone calls over the course of a year, instead of re-filing the claim (which they promised they would do) they sent it to collections. They are totally negligible and do not hold themselves accountable for billing errors. It takes a BBB complaint and a Collections appeal to get ANYWHERE with this company.

I had my son in July of 2021 - almost 2 years ago. I received a bill for $1,627 for service that was unexplained on the bill - it just says things like "Hospital" and "discharge day" and "birth" and it references names of doctors I've never heard of. We have already paid the hospital bills, nursery bills, pediatric bills, circumcision surgery bills, anesthesiologist bills, etc. Our hospital is in-network and we reached our out-of-pocket maximum in 2021. Surprise billing at its finest! They said my insurance company denied the claims (claims were never filed) - which we had great insurance and they would have never denied a legitimate pediatric ****. My name is spelled wrong on the bill, they didn't have a phone number on file for me, and this bill seems like a scam. The agent said they filed with insurance, but this bill says "no insurance on file". As I type this, I am still on hold (so far, been a half an hour) with an associate at Pediatrix who didn't know what to say when I asked for detail of these services. I was abruptly placed on hold.

When I received the bills from this company, my initial thought was this is a ****. I am a 33 years old woman and this is a Pediatrician????? The letters/bills provide no details but mention my insurance denied their claims and ask me remit the balance. I called my insurance carrier, they NEVER received claims from this company. I have paid everything and the amount I paid have reached my out of pocket *** (the hospital was in my network). However, I made a copy of my insurance card and mail it back to Pediatrix and filled out the insurance info on their website. They keep sending me the same letters/bills stating my insurance denied their claims. I called my insurance multiple time until today my insurance NEVER have received the claims from PEDIATRIX. The customer service of this company don't have any answers. the person who answers the phone can't access to my account, put me on hold, ask someone to call me back?? they never did call me. there is no contact info on the letters/bills btw, they list how much you own, account # and tell you they accept ***** Mastercard, discover and and american express.

We had an emergency c-section and had our daughter born at 27 weeks, and she stayed at the **** for 3 months. The care was ok, but the billing was a nightmare. After a little over 14 months of silence, we get a bill for $142,017.57, in November '22, despite our daughter being born on 8/21.Despite us being unable to pay this, and our insurance negotiating them down, even after offering them an in-network rate for out of network services (despite the hospital being in-network with our insurance), Pediatrix refuses to budge, and expects us to pay them nearly $150k It is absolutely deplorable to be balanced billed such a huge number, and despite the Federal protections, and State protections against balance billing, we are still being balance billed this amount. Worst still, we were contacted by Pediatrix 2 months after our daughter came home, asking us to sign a Letter of Representation, so they could better "negotiate" with the insurance company on our behalf. Clearly, this was all a sham to get us on the hook for financial liability if they couldn't get blood from the stone that was our insurance company. Predatory at best, illegal at worst. Steer clear.

I have received multiple bills for services before and after the birth of my child 10 months ago. What's frustrating is my hospital and doctor are in network, but the medical provider for surgery and/or newborn services inside the hospital always bills out of network. The billing company completely ignores insurance coverage and EOBs, and tries to charge the difference between what is billed and what the insurance paid them. This has happened with multiple bills. When calling the billing number, the reps are rude and unhelpful, claiming that they do not have an EOB and that it is my responsibility to provide it for them. I attempted to explain to them that my EOB stated that, by law, they were not allowed to charge me more than my coinsurance. They didn't care, and kept repeating that I needed to send them the information they already had. On each occasion, I've had to get my insurance involved to explain why they are illegally overcharging. The last time my insurance called them, they were left on hold by Pediatrix for 45 minutes, and Pediatrix never bothered to resolve the situation. I have since escalated the problem to someone higher up with my medical insurance. Unfortunatey, this seems to be the only way to get this company to bill correctly. If you get a bill from this company, please make sure to check it alongside your EOB and have your insurance fight on your behalf.

I have received 5 bills all for services that took places after my child's birth over 10 months ago. Each time my wife has called to understand why we keep getting these bills and each time we call we get a different story. Our insurance company states that those services were never filed and Pediatrix claims our insurance did not go through. We realized they had the wrong member ID but continued to get a bill even after we fixed this. This is beginning to look like a ****.

I recently received a bill related to services from 2.5 years ago. I do not understand why this medical group has delayed the billing request so long. My initial thought was that this might be a scam.

I received a bill from a collector on behalf of the anesthesiologist for my child which was born 10 months ago. I didn't receive a bill from the provider first, just the collections notice. Furthermore, there is no itemization for the charges which have been paid. The amount owed was $3184.78 then credits were applied in the amount of $3130.44 leaving a remaining balance of $54.34. No additional details were provided about what the credits were for, when the file was referred to collections nor if primary and secondary insurance had been applied.
