On November 25th I contacted ***** for his services. I purchased a new vehicle and wanted a duplicate key made to have two. He arrived at my apartment at noon and told me it would take about 5-7 minutes for the entire programming process. He required assistance so he called technical support; I am assuming this was for the programming software. After a while he let me know that unfortunately he was not able to program the two keys and now both keys are not working correctly. My original key was only turning on the ignition and the new key could only be used for the buttons on the key. He did not charge me for the service. After leaving, I spoke to another locksmith in town. That locksmith recommended that I try turning the car on and driving around to see if the system would reset after a bit and acknowledge both keys. ***** called me again and told me that he would require payment if both keys ended up working. The car did not start with either key. Now, with no key working to turn on the car, other locksmiths are quoting me double the amount. The locksmiths are quoting me double the amount because now two keys are not working.

I had to call a locksmith to replace a lost key fob. He came to the house. Gave me what looked to be a used key fob that worked one day. The fob had blue paint all over the back of it. He said he painted them so they would know that they were his and that it was new. After the first week, the key would only work sporadically (as it must have been a faulty fob). I notified him the second week via texts (which I have) and he offered to come redo the key for an additional fee of $170. I told him he needed to replace it with a working one as I didn't pay $260 for a key that worked sometimes. He said NOPE and I said I would report him to BBB. He said he didn't give two hoots. When I didn't back off, he said he would do a new one for $160. I said I paid for a working key. Now I was not trusting him. Then I told him I have screen shots of the conversation and to stay away from my home. He made a final offer that I pay him $120 for a new key, told me he warranted his work and would make an additional key for free. So, I put out $260 for initial key then had to pay Batteries Plus $180 for a key that actually worked and I have had no trouble with.
