WINMAC Apparently a familiar pattern - ******** search brought them up first (switching to duck duck go) before the ***** HP website when I asked for help connecting an existing HP printer to a brand new MacBook Pro - You guessed it $199 to "clean" my 4 hour old MacBook and get rid of a Trojan that had hacked & hijacked my Static IP address. They were VERY SMOOTH and had their story down cold. I even received an official looking invoice. Now I am terrified that they have my credit card info. THEIR WEBSITE LOOKS JUST LIKE HP - HP disavows them and in their customer forum basically says "shame on you" for NOT being more careful. Happy Thanksgiving - I hope the WINMAC employee holiday feast is undercooked and they all get sick!

I had the exact same thing happen. It started with An HP printer problem and then went on from there. Then he informed me that were several 'forgeign agents' had stolen my static IP address and they could have access to everything on my computer. He said he could fix the problem for $199 and then sold me lifetime network protection at $1499. I was gullible and got duped. I'm trying now to cancel this coverage but I'm not able to get through.

They are a blatant fraud and should not be in business!!I mistakenly started a chat with them on line because my HP printer was not communicating correctly with my computer. They said 'a technician' would call in 10 minutes. He did. He said he had to take over my computer to troubleshoot the problem. I stupidly let him do that. Then he informed me that were several 'forgeign agents' had stolen my static IP address and they could have access to everything on my computer. He said he could fix the problem for $199 and some ongoing fees. I asked him to end the session and hang up. They are fear-mongering ******!!!
