We obtained a new home owner's insurance policy, notified Slide of the intent to cancel our policy, and notified our mortgage company of such. Our mortgage company then still dispersed a check to Slide, while also dispersing a check to our new home owner's insurance, putting us over $8,000 overdrawn on an escrow account. ********************** acknowledged owing repayment of the funds in early May, but has yet to refund the money. We receive a check several weeks later from Slide, which they promptlyy retracted from our bank account due to an account number error on their own check. We were informed they would issue a new refund check nearly a month ago, however it has been over a month and they state they are still "processing" the payment. Slide currently owes us over $9,000. While the mortage company made the error in releasing a payment, Slide has held onto these funds for nearly two months with little serious effort to correct the issue.Business Response

I cancelled my insurance policy ( SIC3121258) with slide through my insurance broker. I was advised I would be refunded the ******** that was paid prematurely by my insurance escrow account. I received a check the first week of ***** **** dated May 31st. I cashed this check with my bank on June 4th on June 5th the check was returned. I rushed to the bank to be advise the account the check was issued from did not exist. It was at this time I called Slide and was advised that there was a clerical issue with the account number. No one contacted me prior to cashing the check I was not given any notification that the check could be bad. I explained to them over the phone that this money is as needed and asked for the check to be overnighted. They advised they would need to speak with their bill/accounting department and get back to me. I was then sent an email advising that the check was already in the mail and that it would be slower to process a new check and overnight it. Okay, they did not follow up with my response as they advised they would. I got the second check in the mail, **** dated June 7th. With a letter dated June 6th. The same day I called to discuss the incident. I cashed this second check on June 11 and gave been advised as of June 12 it is also being returned. That is now 2 checks that have failed and I am no closer to my owed ******** I have kept copys if both checks, I have all the bank records show the checks have failed.Business Response

We were contacted by our policyholder regarding this matter and our records indicate that the funds were transferred directly to her on June 13, 2025. We attempted to reach her by phone to confirm receipt and left a detailed voicemail message, to which we have received no response. I was billed for the year for insurance.I mailed a check 2 months before due.The check was/has never been cashed Slide stated they changed their billing address and are having a lot of issues in receiving the mail/payments They told me to cancel my check (fee $25) and give them my account and routing number or use credit card with a 3% fee!I called, emailed, and spoke with numerous people, and they all say something different.I was told to email the canceled check charge to *********************************************************************** and they would reimburse me. I have yet to hear back from them.If/when they ever receive the check/stop payment, my account will be chrged $25 for a nsf check!So, the customer servcie, process, changing billing address, lost check, charges, and overall ineptitude from Slide Insurance is unbelievable!Business Response

An escrow payment of $7,345 was mailed on March 30, 2025 from **************** Mortgage to Slide Insurancde Company for Home Owners Insurance. As of today's date of 13 May, Slide has not acknowledged receipt of payment and has blamed the ************** for delays. I continue to get repeated threats from my Mortgage administrator regarding expired Home Insurance Coverage. **************** will not reissue the payment check and says they are aware of Slide Insurance's claimed mail delay. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FROM SLIDE TO BE UNABLE TO PROCESS A PAYMENT THAT HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN RECEIVED FROM A MAILIING 45 DAYS AGO! Slide homeowners insurance. My policy was for 4/16/25, my mortgage company PHH mortgage sent a check from my escrow in the amount of $3808 on March 18, 2025. I received a letter from slide insurance on 4/21/25 stating that my insurance has lapsed and to make a payment before 19days. I was in contact with my agent who recommended I called PHH to confirm a check was sent, they confirmed and gave me a check number. I called slide 4/28 to give them the check number, they said they hadnt received. My mortgage company said they would escalate it and make sure the check hadnt been cashed and the next day once confirmed they would cancel that check and send a new one. I called again the next day since I hadnt received a follow up call from anyone. *** mortgage then told me they would escalatecanceled the first check and sent a new one. On 4/29 they confirmed the check status uncashed and sent out a new check with $3808, confirmation number and tracking number. I called everyday to see if they received it. By. 5/5 they said they still hadnt received it and they were going to escalate it. 5/8 they cashed both checks! I received a call today from *** mortgage stating the company had some issues with being back up and hadnt check multiple peoples checks! She also stated *** never canceled the first one because it was sent bulk with tons of other peoples checks as well. Still never received a call from slide apologizing or saying when Ill be getting my refund! My escrow doesnt have $7600 in the account to send that amount of money! Id like my refund back so I can place it back into my escrow and not be negative or penalized when they do my escrow analysis. There is not transparency or follow up. They dont call when things go wrong and all of this is out of my hands.Business Response

**** ******* RE: Slide Insurance Policy SIC3108054 To Whom It May Concern,Please be advised that on March 12, 2025 *************** paid my homeowners insurance premium to Slide Insurance Company in the amount of $8,424 for renewal of my policy - April 10th. 2025 - April 10 ******* April I started receiving cancellation notices from Slide telling me payment had not been received and I was no longer covered.I called both Slide and *************** several times and have been getting different answers. Slide tells me there is a posting problem - *************** tells me the payment was sent in a "bulk" check with 7 other policies. One time Slide tells me to have the bank send another check - another time Slide says to wait - I have no idea what is going on!I am 77 years old and have NEVER had such a problem with insurance!My bank sent the payment a month in advance from my escrow account - ********************************************* really has no idea what is going on and their employees are totally clueless!Hurricane season is right around the corner and as of today I have no insurance even though the payment was sent to Slide on March 12, 2025!Slide insurance won't even respond to my concern and I have called numerous times trying to get an answer!Slide has the money from my escrow account but they have not posted to my account and have cancelled my policy!Business Response

Policy Canceled Dec Dec. 11, 2024.Sent check for unused policy coverage. I cashed check Feb.05,2025. My *********************** returned Slides Check Feb 7th, 2025. Ive been calling numerous times promising new check . Never is sent. We completely understand the policyholder's frustration. The mortgagee had sent Slide a check for the premium, but when it was not received by us on time, the mortgagee sent a second check and stopped payment on the first check. This process caused some delay in getting the refund out to the policyholder, but we are pleased to note that we were able to successfully send it via overnight delivery and have confirmed receipt on May 5, 2025.Customer Answer

I received a voicemail from ***** ***** ********* at Slide Insurance on 4/16/2025 wanting to know if I want to proceed with a claim I filed on 10/10/2024. I have never been a customer of ********************** and never filed a claim with them. October 3, 2024 our heatpump was replaced due to damage ( power surge) caused by Hurricane ******. Have submitted all asked for documents to Slide Insurance adjusters and inspection survey was performed.Have asked numerous times for settlement and keep being put on hold, being hung up on, call back promises ( which never happen).Finally get in touch with the adjuster and informed the claim is still under review. Additional Slice Insurance has telephone operational issues. I dont know if that is true or just an excuse and additional stall tactics.Please inform Slide to settle our claim immediately! And stop all the bad ***** ***** ********** NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND GIVE A ZERO (0) review rating.Business Response
