      Slide Insurance owes me a refund in the amount $1,490.00 which I have yet to receive. I was told by a slide customer service representative in February of 2025 the check was mailed on March 3rd and almost 6 weeks later still not refund check. I called Slide again on April 14th 2025 and was told they were having problems with postal service delivering refund checks. I do not understand what it means by having problems with postal service delivery. I need help in receiving my refund check that is owed to me. Please help.

      We appreciate our policyholder reaching out regarding this matter. The original premium billed for this policy was $4,242.00, but the policy was endorsed shortly after that to lower the premium to $2,572.00, and a new bill was issued.  On February 17, 2025, we received payment from the mortgage company for the original premium of $4,242.00.  We then received another payment of $2,572.00 from the mortgage company on February 21, 2025.  We were then notified that the mortgage company had stopped payment on the first check for $4,242.00.  So, no refund is owed, and the policy is paid in full.  We attempted to reach out to our policyholder by phone to discuss this and were only able to leave a detailed voicemail message.  Of course, she can contact us if she has any further questions.

      Complaint Summary:I am filing this complaint against Slide Insurance due to their failure to issue a refund that has been owed to me since October 2024now over five and a half months ago. Despite repeated contact and multiple verbal promises that my refund check was on the way and would arrive in 710 business days, I have yet to receive any payment.Complaint Details:Since October 2024, I have contacted Slide Insurance numerous times via phone regarding a refund I am owed after canceling my policy. Each time, I have been told the refund is being processed and that it should arrive soon. This promise has been made repeatedly for over five months, yet no check or electronic payment has been sent.I have requested alternative forms of payment (such as a wire transfer or ACH), but my requests have been ignored or dismissed. I have documented my calls and can confirm that not a single representative has followed through or provided a meaningful update. There has been no accountability, no urgency, and no ************* this point, I believe Slide Insurance is acting in bad faith by withholding funds that are rightfully mine. The company has provided no valid reason for this delay, and their failure to act is causing me unnecessary stress and financial inconvenience.Desired Resolution:I am requesting the immediate release of my refund, either via a secure electronic transfer or certified check, along with written confirmation of when and how the refund was processed. I also request a formal explanation of why this issue was delayed for over five months and what actions have been taken to ensure it will not happen again.

      I started a homeowners policy with Slide on 1/12/2024 to be paid from my escrow. My mortgage company paid the full amount of $4102.00 to Slide within 15 days. On February 22, 2024 Slide cancelled the policy without cause or warning. i was unaware that I did not have coverage until it was time to renew in January of 2025. I called Slide on 2/25/25 to ask about my refund. They said it was sent months ago. I told the agent that I never received anything and she said she would send an email to get a new check sent out but the first one had to be cancelled and that could take a week or so. I never received a check or a response and called them back on 3/4/25. I was told that they have the first conversation in their notes but did not have an update and did not know what happened to the check. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that none was available. I called again on 3/17/25 and was told that they did not know what happened and they could not contact their finance department to inquire. I again asked for a supervisor or a way to contact someone in the finance department and was told there was no way to speak with them but a supervisor would call me back. I never received a call back. I called on 3/20/25 and selected to have my call returned as the wait was extremely long. No one called me back. I called on 3/24/25 and was told that the check had been sent out on 3/2/24 but must be "lost in the mail" and I should wait longer. today is 4/9/25 and I have not received the check or and correspondence from Slide at all. This company owes me several thousand dollars and has repeatedly failed to give me any usable information or help in refunding the money they owe. Slide should also be liable for the extra $400/m that I am now paying back into my escrow. This is a disgusting tactic that Slide is using to stall or refuse refunds and payments that they know they are liable for.

      I am rejecting this response because: (Slide has hundreds of terrible reviews regarding this same issue!!  This is why they have a 1star rating.)   Slide did not respond to my original BBB complaint so I called the customer service line again on 4/21/25 and spoke to Supervisor ***. (funny how a supervisor was available this time) She told me that there was no way for her or me to reach the department that handles the checks directly but she would send them an email. She agreed that I was owed a refund and saw in my file that I had requested this refund and had called several times over an almost 3 month period. She agreed that I have been mislead and stalled and that the check was never sent. I told her that I had submitted a claim with BBB and that I would not allow Slide to continue to ignore and dismiss me and that I would take it as far as necessary to hold them accountable to the agreement that they made. I told her that I wanted the check sent certified to my address immediately.  I told her twice that I expect Slide to cover the cost of that. She agreed and repeated back to me and said that she put in my file that Slide would pay for the cost for the check to be sent certified. She took my phone number and said she would call me once she heard back from her email one way or the other. I never heard back from her. I did receive the check via certified mail a few days later. My issue with this is that the cost to send it certified was taken from the check. I fully expect a refund from Slide immediately.  This small amount would not have been a big deal had Slide acted with integrity in the first place. Slide has repeatedly chosen to act dishonestly and employ slimey tactics to confuse and frustrate customers in hopes that they would just give up. Now to take the cost of this from my check is disgusting. This means that the only way i can get the refund that they legally owe me is if I pay them for it.  ABSOLUTELY NOT SLIDE!!  UNACCEPTABLE!! Figure out your business and refund me the cost of the certified mail immediately!

      Slide Insurance has been holding $2641.00 for 2 months with no refund information. I have attempted to get in contact with a customer service agent almost everyday for the past 1 month and no one will get back to me. No one will pick up the phone or answer my emails. My agent filed a formal notice of cancellation on February 26, 2025. I have been requesting the status of my refund everyday. I was told that it could maximum 1 month to process and mail the refund. Today, I called again and held on hold for over a three hours. On the second call, I chose the option to leave my number and get a return call by 6:30pm that day. I still have not received a return call. I was told by my agent that check was processed should have been mailed. As of today, April 7th, I still have not received a refund check. Almost 2 months and no check! This is a lot of money that I am paying a fee because of this.

      I canceled my home owners policy due to the surgery in cost to renew for another year. I am do a refund check of over ********. This money is due to my Mortgage company to be applied to my Escrow account. My mortgage increased monthly due to the now Escrow shortage I now have. I call SLIDE and always have to receive a call back. They keep giving me the run around as to when they will send refund check. This is definitely not ok and I am owed what's due to me

      Following the non-renewal of my policy by Farmers Insurance, I secured a replacement policy with ****** Insurance early this year (effective 2/15/25). At no point did I speak to or authorize Slide Insurance to issue a policy for my primary residence in *******. I was completely unaware of any details or the existence of a policy from Slide until I was notified by my mortgage company that my escrow account was underfunded, and my mortgage payments would be increasing by $1,500 a month unexpectedly.This unauthorized action resulted in $9,580 being withdrawn from my escrow account, in addition to the $6,000 I paid to ****** Insurance. I have contacted my mortgage company and Slide, and as of today, I have been told that my refund check will be printed tomorrow but could take several weeks to arrive. In the interim, I am burdened with the unexpected additional financial obligation as well as the time and effort required to resolve the matter and address the escrow analysis afterward.The lack of authorization to act on behalf of consumers to receive payment from their mortgage holders is shocking and unethical in practice, if not criminal. I request immediate action to expedite the refund process.For reference, my policy number is SIC3278303.I expect a prompt and satisfactory resolution to this issue.

      We have homeowners insurance on a house in ********* , *******. Roof damage from hurricane and slide adjusters said it needed a complete roof and their estimate was over $44,000 and they marked it down to $23,000 which we have a $11,000 deductible, we cant get a roof for $23,000 and I have been fighting to get them to call me and its been since December 2024 Bottom line is we had 3 different roofing companies give estimate and each of those were over $44,000. I have a contract with Gold Key Roofing and slide said we cant do any work till they approve but so far they tell you anything to put it on hold. I need help to get this resolved or take them to court

      I am rejecting this response because: theyhave been telling me this same response for months,,when I talked to the lady in charge of this clam she told me that what they paid us was sufficient enough and what the roofing company was charging was too much and it was not going to be approved   we had three estimates and Gold Key Roofing was the least amount, the others were close but for a large roof this s what it costs, our house is over 4000 sq ft and $23.000 wil not get a roof ,, our policy says our deductible is $11.000 and they should cover the rest and they do not want to   They have been telling me so many lies, they never call me back, she said she was calling the roofer and did not, she told me my claim is in the cold file and I told her its been in the freezer as far as i am concerned. its been since Dec   of last year... I need at least $20.000 from slide to get my roof   thanks

      Had home damage during Hurricane ******. Made claim, adjuster came out, took pictures and made his report in a timely manner. Recieved one call to submit a receipt for a fallen tree and then crickets. We need to fix our home and get the fence off our neighbor's property. It has been over 6 months. Luckily, we are able to reside in our home, but unfortunately now, making a claim to Fema has run out due to the insurance not replying back.

      Slide insurance was over paid by my previous mortgage company Mutual of Omaha by $10,000 last year June 2024. Slide was past to me by Citizen insurance. I recently found this out after my last escrow analysis from my new Mortgage Company Freedom Mortgage company. I canceled my insurance and is due $3,2771.00 plus the past amount of $10,000.0 its as been almost 6 weeks after being told that the checks in the mail. I am not able to reach them by phone and my email messages are not answered. This has cost my mortgage payment to be unaffordable and possible put me in a situation that I may foreclose on my home as a Veteran.

      I canceled home policy on Feb. 18th (2025). Was notified that my agent (through the **** that the rerfund was profcessed on 3/1/25 -for $2,521D.60. It has been over a month since the cancelation, and no refund hsa been received.,
