Early in June of 2022 I decided to look into laser hair removal.. I scheduled a consultation and the next day, June 15 got on a zoom call with sales representative, ********************** only wanted to hear their rates and know if I was good candidate for the service. I only wanted the bikini service considering the fact that I'm new to laser hair removal. She lies, and tells me that It would be cheaper if I got the lifetime membership and legs, underarms and perianal service all together. The call starts moving really fast and she tells me about Ally Financing and I originally got approved and suddenly the approval was "revoked" and she brought up Fortiva and claimed it was the better, cheaper option. So I'm approved for a Fortiva loan of ****. Before I signed the contract, I asked her how much this would cost monthly.. she stalls and tells me she has to talk to her manager and basically rushes me to sign this contract barely giving me a chance to read it thoroughly, as if I would miss out on the "special" if I didn't do so. I have worked in sales in the past and i have never, pressured a vulnerable customer or took advantage like that. I sign, and the day after (June 16, 2022) I follow up with the same question and miraculously she finally has an answer. I tell her that I want to cancel because that rate wasn't even close to what we discussed over the phone. She disappears for 2 days and comes back trying to get me back on the phone, and i stood firmly on the fact that I wanted to cancel. Mysteriously they try to rush me into a appointment. I was over it and contacted customer service, my case manager was a woman named *****. I couldn't get in contact with her for WEEKS I ACTUALLY HAD TO CHASE HER. And I get on the phone with her finally, and she tells me that in the contract that they don't do refunds. I cried over the phone because my credit has been impacted. I want nothing to do with a business that manipulates customers to this extent.Business Response

I was coerced and pressured into signing this contract. Look at the thousands of complaints just like mine. I blamed myself until reading reviews I should've read before answering that fateful phone call that has now completely ruined my credit. I'm not going through buyers remorse. It's a scam because I was lied to. How was I supposed to be given time to thoroughly read through this death trap when I had someone in my ear actively telling me lies and pressuring me to do it before the "sale was over". That doesn't make much sense at all. I would've loved a different resolution 3 months ago when I brought this to your attention but this company ignored me. Who in their RIGHT MIND would trust y'all with their money. You don't care about your customers or you just wouldn't do this to them. That's the scam. On May 11, 2022 submitted a request for information from Ideal Image. They promptly texted me and scheduled a Zoom consultation for that afternoon. That afternoon I spoke with an Ideal Image representative over the phone. My intention was to obtain information about hair removal services and cost. During the conversation I was persuaded that the best deal would be to sign up for a 16 month unlimited package that day. I could choose to wait but the savings couldn't be guaranteed. In good faith I executed the contract via DocuSign and gave my credit card for full payment of the 16 month hair removal service plus the Lifetime Guarantee Membership, which I did not fully understand but it was something about the way the paperwork had to be completed for me to be eligible for touchups. I booked my appointment for June 1st at 3:10pm. Upon arriving approximately 15 minutes before my appointment time I waited in the lobby for about 10 minutes before being greeted. I was then seen by a medical professional via video conference and cleared to have my laser treatment. Another 10 or so minutes go by and they come out to tell me the laser is broken. They asked if I wanted to wait to see if the technician could fix it or reschedule. Ultimately they were unable to repair it and so I said I'd reschedule. They said they would contact me once the laser was repaired to reschedule. The only communications I've received from them since is advertisement for add'l services except to respond to my request for a refund which was denied. No service has been provided to date. I am very dissatisfied with the lack of care to get me rescheduled and have serious concerns about using a laser that was broken on my face. I sought laser hair removal associated with my polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) that makes hair growth sometimes unmanageable. In order to get a contract signature, the sales representative made false representations and warranties about what I could expect from the procedure. While receiving the pitch for this treatment, I was promised that the hair would be gone forever after treatments. When I arrived for the actual appointment, the outlook was much more grim. The person told me that my hair would only be reduced and would not be gone forever. I received further advice from my endocrinologist that electrolysis is the only FDA approved method of hair removal.
I also suffered mild irritation to my sensitive skin after laser treatment, and am not comfortable with pursuing further laser treatment to my skin due to possible scarring. I would like to be refunded my contract price less the treatments that I received. I want to pay for the services rendered to my underarms and linea alba, but no more than that as I will not be pursuing treatments. From the contract reading, my symptoms do not make me a laser hair removal candidate.Business Response

Acct#: ****************. Service performed at Ideal Image, **************************************************************. I entered into a contract to receive a treatment for a Facial Filler. I was told that it was a better deal to buy the membership for $250 as it could be used for a year, and the membership would allow me to receive additional services at a discounted price and one free service from a specific selection. I agreed to purchase the membership. I had to choose services I would receive in addition to the Facial Filler. I selected Botox and Ultherapy. During my first visit I met with a nurse and discussed my health history which included having a reaction to Acetaminophen (Ac) over 20 years ago. I had also completed paper work and disclosed that information. I also said that I had taken Ac many times over the years and did not have a reaction before that incident of thereafter. I was cleared by the nurse for Ideal Image for all three procedures. ** 8/1/22 I received Ultherapy. ** 8/18/22 I received Botox (two vials at the discounted price of $8.90 due to the membership. It would cost $15.00 a vial without the membership.) During that appointment I was told I could not have the Facial Filler due to the reaction I had in the past to Ac. I was told I would receive a refund (the entire procedure was financed so it would be credit applied to the bill.) ** 8/22/2022 I was sent a document sign by ***********************. I was offered $950 for a refund. The document stated all services would be terminated after signing the contract including the membership. I also received a call from **** who told me to sign the document so the refund could be given for $950. I asked if the membership fee of $250 could be refunded. I was told no as I had received part of the services. I asked if would could split the $250 I was told no. I am requesting a refund of at least $1200 ($950 for the Facial Filler + $250 for the membership).Business Response

As stated in my complaint, I did not learn until the third procedure which was the primary reason I rcontracted with them that the service for the filler that could not be completed. The business did not provide the service they agreed to provide.I met with a nurse prior to having any procedures performed. I agreed to pay an additional $250 for a benefit that would provide a discount for a year. After the the free service was provided and a treatment for one minimal treatment another service I was told I did not meet the qualifications for the third procedure. The third procedure was the primary reason for my contracting with this business for services. The business established the order of the services. The business refused to reimburse $250 for the yearly benefit. Since I met with the nurse and prior to any services performed and completed paperwork disclosing information the business was well aware of my health history. This is not fair to me.They offered to reimburse me for the one service I did not receive but not the $250. On Aug 14th had a free consultation through zoom with ****** on my interest in laser hair removal/pricing. I indicated I had an interest to do get my ****************** area done after many years of debating about it I had asked about the discounts I saw online where it stated 75 to 80% based off certain packages I asked what would it be to include legs. There came a point when she stated they offer financing & that I would need to go through Ally to see what payment options were available to me. I asked if I had to go through this loan process to see what monthly payments would be & she said yes otherwise it would need to be paid in fulll, but stated I could update my payment options later. They even requested a credit card on file but said they wouldn't charge it without my authorization. She had me rush through to swipe up & click all the necessary ************* She then scheduled an appointment for me Tues Aug 16th at 6pm which I later canceled. That same day I tried calling back to revise the contract because after reviewing it was determined financially it wasn't possible to do all the areas she had signed me up for which apparently was 5 areas as opposed to 2. I tried calling back, but thier offices were closed. I called the next morning at 10am Aug 15th asking if I could revise my contract & after being transferred a couple of times was told that I would need to speak with *******, but that she was on a call & would call me back later. I then get an emaiI from ****** saying she heard I had questions abouty contract and to email her for the quickest response which I did around 5pm same day since I hadn't heard anything back from anyone I called and spoke to ******* who said she would cancel & redo contract. Aug 16th comes & the issue hadn't actually been resolved. Friday Aug 19th I talk to ************* said due to the all the issues that they would refund 1 of the areas. I tried canceling the whole contract & was told very rudely I can't cancel my contract.Business Response

I called Ideal Image to set up laser hair removal treatments and of course had to apply for a loan with Ally. The process was rushed and there was a lot of pressure but I was hopeful about the great services I was sold. I had to reschedule my appointment and shared it was because I was transitioning jobs. To my understanding my loan would start after my first service, now, I received a bill that's due September 1st and that would be fine if I got services but I still haven't been to any site and I haven't started any treatment. I want to terminate my contract and was told I can't before the Rep and I got into an argument. Ally said they had no issue cancelling my loan but Ideal Image was already paid in full so I had to work with them. Ideal Image will not be providing me any services and have not thus far. I just want to end my contract and be done with the entire company. I understand Ideal would have to refund Ally and I do feel that's fair since no services have been rendered and will not be! I was told on page 4 I can find a clause that says even if I don't get services I have to pay but I don't see that or maybe I don't understand the verbiage. I just want to be done with this entire fiasco and wish I never reached out for a consultation.Business Response

On May 24, 2022, I had a video consultation with an ideal image representative regarding coolsculpting on my neck. She said I was a good candidate and I she assured me this procedure is painless. In just a couple of minutes, the digital loan paperwork was completed and I was to receive 2 cycles of treatment, adding up to approximately $3000.00. On June 22, I received an email from Ally Lending stating that "in two days, ideal image would be receiving the funds." Essentially, Ideal Image was paid before I even had the appointment on July 1. I went to the appointment, nervous but also looking forward to results later. The person setting up the device seemed to have quite a bit of trouble getting the arm situated properly. It felt like a mac truck had me pinned to a brick wall by the neck. I was told that, after a few minutes, the pain would pretty much subside. For me, after a few minutes, the pain was excruciating. I started to feel nauseous and get dizzy so I pressed the red button to call the girl back in and told her I was going to feint. She asked if I wanted to stop the procedure and I said yes. She gave me an ice pack out of the cabinet and turned my bed backwards so my head would be lower and raise my blood pressure. I was told on my way out that they don't do refunds, but that I could try again to tolerate the procedure, "take a xanax" before coming. They also said that I could have other procedures done using the funds. When I called to schedule some procedures to start using the funds, I could not get an answer as to whether I could. I really just want Ideal Image to give the loan funds back to Ally so I don't owe 3 grand for a procedure that I couldn't have done.Business Response

I always choose to give companies the benefit of the doubt but completely disregarding my concerns and doing this is ethically wrong in any type of procedure being done to your body. Firstly I was misinformed and taken advantage of, the salesperson didn't tell me half of the information I, later on, found out on my own. She pressured me into a deal making it seem like I would've to pay more if I didn't purchase right at the moment. Misinformation and credibility when it comes to medical procedures aren't something that should be shoved in your face with incentives. I no longer feel safe with the procedure and skin cancer runs in my family so my Dr. *** advising me that it would be safer not to. I haven't had a single treatment because I simply want no part of this anymore. They promised me 3 days to cancel but when I tried no one responded and when I emailed them, I got a call back saying "Yeah well it is still not a refund before three days" and was treated very rudely. I am filling this dispute against this company because I am not paying for a procedure that is not safe for me and hasn't started.Business Response

We were able to connect with this via( ******************* to discuss her concerns. As a result, we had her evaluated by a center Nurse. The outcome of the evaluation was that the guest is Cleared for treatment( as indicated by the guest as well) As a result, we are not able to move forward with refund. We can apply this payment as an account credit which can be used at the clients discrecion.
To reference the Nurse advising refund. Refunds are only provided at a Corporate level. This refund is being denied based on contractual guidelines.

I opened an account with them sometime around May thinking that I can have their services. I was approved by the third party they use Ally. When I called them to see what my options to cancel the plan because I realized that first I cant commit to it due to medical condition arising. So I called them and they said they can look into it. Months passed by nothing. I called them again and ask them if there's a way to just do it under medical condition and they said just update my portal under health information, which I did but no response. Different people from the company called me to schedule my appointment, follow up if I want to come in. Then one person said I cant come in because if I do then I would not be able to be refunded at all. Since opening the account with them I have been paying Ally the 3rd party loan company for service/s I have never used. No one from Ideal Image has called me back nor emailed me back on what's the status. My Doctor has even submitted a medical note regarding my medical condition. All I'm hearing from Ideal image is my case is under a case manager and she's the one that needs to review it. I have reached out multiple times and no response at all. The local clinic of ideal image will say that they will contact the customer service specialist that's handling my case and they did verify that they also has received the medical note and its already on my file. Yet, no one has reached out to me. Very frustrating and really time consuming! I really wish they can respond quickly just like when they wanted me to avail their services. But it seems like no one is addressing my concerns now.Business Response

they have not done anything. Someone last week from Ideal Image called me to schedule my appointment. I said I need help regarding my case she said she does not handle that and will extend my message to client specialist. This is really frustrating and its really taking longer. I need to know status the Ally lending company is wanting me to pay but Why should I if I havent used any services at all. This is really frustrating and stressful I really hope this week it will be settled
