    DO NOT USE! This is the worst AC company out there. They overcharge for all services and charged for an ultraviolet light that was never installed, The electrical system was hooked up incorrectly and after many service calls in 6 years I have had to replace the whole system. Shoddy workmanship, no accountability and high prices. Go elsewhere I did.

    Scheduled a service trip to recharge freon and find leak. The tech instead tried to sell me the following:Capacitor - $677.00 Warranty on capacitor - $724.00 Surge protector - $724.00 Refrigerent - $431.00 Leak search - $403.00 U/V lamp - $2,543.00 Filter dryer - $724.00 Total - $6,226.00 My entire HVAC system is only 5 years old. I hired another company who fixed the leak and recharged the system for $400.00

    Red Cap has always done a great job fixing any plumbing problems I have. They work around my schedule and keep me posted on who is coming to do the work and on their arrival time. And I have never had to clean up after them. I highly recommend them.

    Had them do an electrical inspection of my house and the tech found an outlet next to my hot tub that was not GFCI protected. The tech offered to replace the outlet with a GFCI receptacle. I choose instead to use a GFCI circuit breaker. The tech went out and got the circuit breaker and replaced it. All my questions were professionally answered including ones about another circuit I was concerned I might be close to overloading. Unlike other companies that try to milk you by selling unneeded items and services, Red Cap stuck to the truth.

    We were charged $1700 ( $2000-$300 discount) for replace thermostats wire . This job depending on the length of the wire and complexity range from $100-$300.

    Technician was delayed due to prior appointment and the office kept me informed of this and updated me when he was available. Once at my home, we discussed the issue and he quickly did the necessary repairs. I appreciate the Saturday availability of their technicians.

    On a service contract which includes a spring and fall system cleaning. Overall, a pleasing client experience. Received the courtesy call 30-minutes before the technician arrived. Perfect. Technician arrived and announced himself and explained the work. He started and completed the work efficiently. After completing the heat pump work and while working on the air handler, he also cleaned out the air handler water drain. When done, he announced and explained the overall condition of the heat pump and air handlingsystem. Normally, the invoice for a service contract visit is clear. However, the tech suggested a "Hard Start Kit for A/C / Heat Pump Unit"/start-up capacitor. Thiswould be a separateservice item with its own part and labor charges as it does when you take your car to dealershipfor service. The invoicedetail and transparency for the service call and startup capacitor, second service item, is very poor in detail and transparency. The invoice clearly shows two separate services, RC360 AC for service contract and HVAC 2A for the startup capacitor during the sameservice call. No clue what tasks # FCC - Deferred and Realized are since not clearly described?No detail for parts, labor, or any other charge. A clear lack of transparency.Hence, below average invoice / billing ************* the link belowshows, a "Hard Start Kit for 3.5 to 4.5 Ton A/C Units"/start-up capacitor runs for 50 or no more than $100.00 for the part. Now guess what thetotal billforthe part was? Did you guess five times thepart cost lessthan one hour to complete theinstall? There is no itemized cost for the $575.45 charge. What is the $400.00 to $425.00 cost for?****************************************************************************************************

    The technician Quincy was prompt, professional, respectful & courteous. A very nice experienced young man came to do routine maintenance on my A/C unit. He cleaned the unit & explained things about the unit as he was working.
