Frustrating - project incomplete Nov 2024 - April 2025 BUYER BEWARE: Order placed for 16 ft sliding glass doors in Oct 2024. We were advised 8-12 wks. Surprisingly they were ready at 4 wks. Install went what we thought was pretty smooth but the screens did not fit. Was told they would re-order the screens and it would be 8-12 wks. They were available in mid-Feb 2025. They did not fit. The tech used a hacksaw and cut the top of them/very jagged to "make them fit." They marked up the vinyl track and I refused to the screens to prevent further damage. **** took screens did not make note on our acct to reorder again. Called to speak with Service Mgr *****, he came out end of Feb. Advised they would reorder the vinyl track, uninstall the door and reinstall the door, again advised 8-12 wks. In mid-****** called to get status (@ 8 wk ****** Service Mgr ***** left no notes in our acct and didn't reorder the track. Found out he was also no longer with the company. Was advised new service mgr would call Monday 4/21. No call received. Called New South 4/22 and several times on 4/23/25, can't get anyone to return a service issue call and I really want to get a service manager on the line to come back out to fix the problem.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:I have gotten in touch with the general manager and they did send someone out to look at the job on 05/01/25 to order the parts to complete the job. I didn't hear back from them that they parts were ordered. On 05/05/25, I called 2x and left messages with no response back. On 05/06/25 I reached out to the sales guy how came out in October that sold us the glass doors, he confirmed the parts were ordered and a rush was put on them. They should be in about the first week of June and they will call to schedule. We shall see. More to come in June.

I am rejecting this response because: I acknowledge that New South has come out and looked at the project. I also acknowledge the replacement parts are to be in the 2nd week of June. Since the sliding glass doors were installed in Nov 2024 and I am still waiting for completion, once finally installed to satisfaction with a completion certificate or notice, I will close the case. More to come in the next couple of weeks.The only options were to accept and close or reject to keep open, I am only rejecting since I only have 10 days to respond. There wasn't an option to pend in order to keep open until the parts are in and installed. Please note: I am not rejecting because I don't like the response from New South. They are working on getting the matter resolved.

metal strips around front windows are warping. A representative came July, 2024 . Said someone would come fix and also that they were not installed correctly because he could feel the air coming through. Living room temperature reaching 85 degrees due to this. I have called several times. No one will return my call. No one has come to do anything about the problem. I paid $15000 for 7 windows. Don't know if the other windows are installed correctly or not. I would appreciate the problems getting fixed. That's all I want.Business Response

canceled the project about 10 days after they messengered all doors and windows and now they refuse to refund the deposit. there is nothing in the contract about not getting a deposit back if you did not go forward with the project.Business Response

I have tried to reach out several times to the phone number on file with no answer. As homeowner stated, they tried to cancel the contract. They were a full month past their contract date. All rights to recission were forfeited after the 3 days of recission passed. At this time the contract is in full and pending a response to proceed with the project as contracted.Initial Complaint

Last June we had over $20,000 of hurricane impact windows installed in our home. Upon completion of installation, the installers and ourselves inspected the windows finding multiple panes of glass damaged as well as screens. New South took pictures and created a damage report assuring us that the repairs would be completed immediately. To date, March 1st, ten months later and multiple phone calls, texts and emails later, we have been ignored. We have copies of the report with pictures of the damage and New South is not fulfilling their obligation to repair the damage their personnel caused. We are seeking assistance from the BBB to urge New South to repair their damaged products of which we are paying full price.Business Response

I am disgusted trying to deal with this company, they have a bad habit of ignoring email complaints until I threaten to either go up the chain of command or take it up to a regulatory agency. I complained of shoddy installation of and failed inspection of 2 of the doors, a cracked installed window, and 2 screens with holes in them. They came back to fix the doors. Then I had to wait for the supposed "rush" order for the replacement window. When the 2 new installers showed up on February 15th to replace the cracked window, they only had the replacement window on their work order, they were supposed to fix the 2 screens that had holes in them and also plug up the window and door holes. The new window was installed (upside down), in addition to installing the window upside down, they managed to mangle my faux wood blinds that are now crooked, they took my two window screens and told me they would return on Monday, February 17th with the replacements. Of course it didn't happen, and of course I send another email to **** ***** and copied the salesman and the installation manager. No response. I was told that New South Window Solutions employs its own installers, but I do not believe that because they don't appear to know what they are doing and also do very shoddy work.Business Response

We purchased Impact Glass Windows from New South Window Solutions ******************** Office and had many difficulties with the installation and product.The product was finally completed in August of 2024 and within a month we noticed a crack in Window #5 that has now traveled to a nearly complete circle.We notified New South Windows in September and the responses have been inadequate or non-existent. New South Windows (***) incorrectly installed a window resulting is water damage and black mold. NSW said they would reinstall the window and reimburse me for the damage and that the installer would write me a check when the work was completed. The installer did not write me a check. The communication, follow up, and follow thru from this company are non existent. We have had a window that was installed by NewSouth develop a window seal failure that starting showing a couple of years ago. It took many phone calls and email to get the company to come out and assess the window. They came out a few times due to contractor not wanting to go up the ladder and inaccurate measurements of the window. On the last visit in the summer of 2024, they measured for a template. We have not heard anything since. I've emailed President ***** ****** with no response back. I called last month and finally got a hold of someone in service. He couldn't tell me why there was such a delay, but stated they would call back to set us up for January. We'll, it's January and still not follow up or communication!Business Response

I have had a long and ongoing problem with trying to get my two windows fixed under my warranty.July 25th 2014 My account was credited for $1,000 (Invoice # New-725) the agreed upon amount by the owner **** for not getting the correct french doors, wrong size window, and space underneath the front door March 22 2022 notified NS problem with two windows and needed them replaced under my warranty. March 24th ******** ***** called me to say that I owed $1,000 and the my warranty was revoked. March 31st she stated it was an error and it was resolved. She scheduled an appointment for May No one showed up. Rescheduled for November 7th they measured the two windows took pictures and said that he would order the windows and should be ready in a couple weeks. Several days later I get a phone call from them stating that he had the wrong measurements and that he needed to come back. He schedule another appointment for November 15 to remeasure. November 15th Th gentleman came back and did the measurements again and stated the window should be ready in a couple of weeks. Several weeks later, I called to find out when the windows would be in and I was told they would call me back. The next day I received a phone call from a rude gentleman stating that I will not be getting the windows. I have no warranty and he didn't want to hear anything I had to say. I emailed New South Windows again and finally on 12/2023 **** ****** sent me an email saying he assured me that I will be receiving a follow up call to resolve this. I then received a call from ******* ********** saying he would be over to measure for the replacement windows which he did on 12/14/23. The windows were supposed to be in by Feb of March the latest. One year later I have not had a phone, email or any communication about my windows. I have tried several times but to no avail. I still need my two windows replaced and my life time warranty honored.Customer Answer
