  My daughter was moving from *******, ** to **********, **. We received a binding Quote from Safebound after sending a detailed video of the two-bedroom apartment that was to be moved. They gave us a quote of $4737.18. After they showed up to *******, they loaded the apartment goods on the truck. Then with the goods held hostage on the truck they raised the quote 93%. Nothing changed from the video that was sent to Safebound. All the items were packed and boxed by my daughter. They charged her $811.00 for boxes they used to put the already packed smaller boxes into wardrobe boxes. This obviously increased the square footage so they could charge more. They Charged $5.00 for each roll of tape. Then they charged a 17% fuel adder, only after crossing off a 15% added for fuel on the paperwork. While a fuel surcharge is reasonable, they calculate it on square footage moved not on gas cost or mileage. Calculating the mileage and additional gas cost would be $289.00, but because they charge by square footage, they added $1,292.00 to the cost. This is just another hidden moving cost. You have to pay a down payment to get them to show up, half of the new quote cost, after they load the truck. This company gives you a low quote up front, then holds your goods hostage. When delivered wants to charge you for additional steps and shuttle costs if their truck can't fit into the new apartment complex. This company is not professional. If you use them you are asking for surprise costs and demand of payment upfront before they unload the truck with a cashier's check, so you have no recourse. The move cost close to $10,000.00 from these extortionists. Save yourself the headaches, cost increases and bad acting from this company. I believe this is their normal business practice. In my opinion, it's criminal to take advantage of people in this manner. i offer this review so others are warned about these unprofessional business practices

  They were hired on short notice to move a very large object upstairs and then carry it over a railing. They arrived the same day and completed everything flawlessly. I can't express how wonderful the moving experience was with them.

  I had a hassle-free experience working with Safebound Moving & Storage, and I'm always looking for a service provider who can complete a task quickly and successfully. In addition to having a polite and helpful workforce. An excellent job was done, and I valued the speedy turnaround, thus I highly suggest this company for any moving services!

  Safebound is unprofessional, offers no customer service and they tried to scam me for additional money. ***** and his crew were late arriving, walked in and immediately stated that they needed to charge me $400 extra even though my load size did not change. My brother had a load as well and they did the same for him. This was the most traumatic business experience I have ever had. They said that if I did not agree with the extra money, they would not load my belongings. I had flown in from CA to supervise my move, so I had no choice but to agree with the extra cost. This was a scam! They loaded my belongings on May 21 and I did not receive them until July 11th. They apparently moved my load from FL to OR and then hired another outfit to actually deliver my belongings. On arrival, they LOST the custom marble top to an antique dresser. The marble top is no where to be found! Unfortunately my brother's situation was even worse! He received his belongings on 16th - only an hour notice that they were delivering his stuff. Insult to injury, they broke the kitchen table, 3 of the chairs and some of my Mom's china. My Mother passed away and these were her possessions that we were moving from FL to me in CA and to my brother in WA. I highly recommend you review this company as they should not be in business. The only person that has helped me is ***** is CS. No one should have to experience what brother and I have gone through. They don't even deserve one star.

  The movers worked tirelessly on the day of the move to ensure that everything went as smoothly as possible. They were professional and never stopped working. They performed an outstanding job!

  If you enjoy being *******, these are the movers for you. The initial quote I received was done over video. Then this thief shows up to move my furniture and triples the estimate, plus charges me an extra $400 for a "long haul" because he could not get in the driveway, which was one car length long. When I called to have my furniture taken out of storage and delivered, they forgot to schedule it and I called 3 times. ************* there were a bunch of extra fees which had never been mentioned (unloading, supplies, etc) and a fee for using a credit card. My boxes were not delivered in good condition and some items were damaged. However, due to their replacement policies, not worth reporting. This was definitely a very unsatisfactory experience

  This is one of the worst experiences of my life. We were quoted $3595, the person that sold us on the service insisted we sign the contract right away, I was looking at it on my phone while he was on a video call with us. He seemed honest. He was not. He did not go over the particulars with us. When the movers came we owed a total of $5100.00, I paid in full via personal check. Then my husband and I drive to our new location across the country. Then I get a phone call stating that I will owe an additional $516.00 bc they cannot get a semi into the parking lot of the apartment complex. They always knew I was moving to and from an apartment. Then when the people come with my stuff they tell me they cannot take a personal check, and if they have to wait for me to go get a money order it will be $150.00 additional. This was the worst service, underhanded and highway robbery. They held my belonging hostage and required more and more.
