9/30/23 I'VE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR A WHILE NOW, I'VE ALWAYS TAKEN MY CAR TO GMC THINKING ITS THE RIGHT AND BEST THING TO DO. I RECENTLY TOOK MY CAR THERE AND LEFT IT FOR 8 DAYS, FOR SOMETHING TO BE FIXED (WHICH WAS PREVIOUSLY ADDRESSED THERE AS WELL) AFTER PICKING IT UP, I NOTICED MY CAR SOUNDED FUNNY AND IT WAS JUST WEIRD. IM A NURSE IN HEALTHCARE SO OBVIOUSLY I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS, I TRUST THE JUDGEMENT OF THE MECHANIC AND SERVICE ADVISORS. AFTER MY WARRANTY WAS CONTACTED AND I WAS TOLD WHAT MY PORTION WAS, FOR A MESSED UP WATER PUMP AND RADIATOR, I DECIDED TO BRING MY CAR TO ANOTHER SHOP, WHERE A FRIEND OFFERED TO DIAGNOSE IT FOR ME. TO MY SURPRISE, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH MY WATER PUMP OR RADIATOR. I WAS PROVIDED IMAGES OF THE SMALL CLAMP THAT "MAGICALLY" HAD FALLED OFF THE **** FROM THE WATER PUMP, AND AFTER ALL THE PRESSURE, SNAPPED OFF.. MAKING MY WATER PUMP TO MESS UP AND THE RADIATOR TO ALSO MALFUNCTION. THIS IS BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE. HOW MANY OF US DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS AND GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF ON A REGULAR BASIS. December 14, 2023 purchased 2023 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 (stock #C231075) from ********************** in the amount of $55,324.35 and the extended warranty in the amount of $4,589.68. Paid cash for the truck, financed the warranty...drove the truck home the evening of Thursday 12/14/23. Saturday afternoon 12/16/23, the dash computer module would not engage, it was dark, no display. I called Schumacher and was told to bring the truck in Monday, 12/18/23, I did. The service advisor, ******, was going to check into the new computer module and get back to me that afternoon. Never happened. Called Tuesday, nothing. Called Wednesday, nothing. Got home from work and called relentlessly trying to reach someone, anyone. Nothing. The operator actually told me that the service department "closed at 6pm". I pointed out that it was 5:22pm. Thursday I drove to Schumacher to discuss the part and its whereabouts. EVERYONE we dealt with that afternoon was very flippant and nonchalant about how long parts were taking to arrive (due to the recent strike). Needless to say, my BRAND NEW TRUCK sat at Schumacher (with NO communication) for THREE ENTIRE WEEKS until it was "fixed". January 5, **** we picked up the truck from Schumacher, the new module did NOT fix the issue, it was some other part which no one could explain. Happy to have our truck back...we drove it home. I was out of town the following week (1/11/24) and returned home Monday, 1/15/24. Not having driven my new truck very much, I hopped into it to drive across town and.....NOTHING. No dash display! Dark and dead, just like before. Same issue. Same exact issue. I have not driven this truck more than 45 miles since I purchased it (with 6 miles on it) and twice I'm having the same issue. Tuesday, January 16th, dropped the car off to Schumacher AGAIN. The entire situation is extremely frustrating; the attitude of EVERYONE there is that no one can be bothered to help or pretend to sympathize or help. REFUND! This truck is a LEMON.Business Response

Although the strike did affect the availability of parts and national backorders on several parts from the manufacturers, not communicating that to our clients is disturbing. I apologize for your repeated attempts to no avail at reaching someone in the service drive.

I had gone in for an electrical diagnosis/repair and was diagnosed by the shop ******* for $2055.74 worth of repairs. The diagnosis took over 5 hours between two days and I was charged for a fraction of those hours at $502.90. I paid that price and went to a different Subaru dealership to have the car diagnosed/repaired and had the car back in less than 2 hours with the diagnosis being a blown fuse, which I was not charged for after relaying the price quote from Schumacher Subaru. I am requesting a full refund of $502.90 for the following: 1) I left a message with the Service Director with ample time to reply and still have not received any call back 2)The diagnosis time being shockingly excessive 3) My payment felt like it went towards nothing.Business Response

*******, thank you for submitting your concern. After careful review it was found after 5 hours of diagnostics of the electrical system, your vehicle had aftermarket headlights and fog lights. It was found that the lights were shorting out the Circuit Body Control Module which would not be covered under warranty due to the aftermarket lights installed on your vehicle. You were charged a discounted rate for the diagnostic. Our shop rate is $235.00 per hour, and you were only charged for 2 hours while our tech worked 5 hours on your vehicles electrical system.
You were provided a loaner vehicle while we were performing your service.
The estimate of $2055.74, was for replacement of the Body Control module, programming and original Subaru Headlights and fog lamps, to replace the aftermarket ones installed in your vehicle.
There will be no refund due for the work performed.

I am rejecting this response because:Thank you for this reply. Absolutely none of the information provided is relevant due to it being in my attachments. My point was completely missed, being that the actual repair was 3 fuses that has shorted and it was diagnosed by another Subaru dealership days after receiving my incorrectly diagnosed car. Now, the point for anyone else reading this is that Schumacher Subaru of ********* Beach has no trouble diagnosing over $2,000 worth of repairs and being wrong about it.

I am rejecting this response because:I meant to say in my last response that all of your provided info is *irrelevant.
Britannica Dictionary definition of RESOLUTION. 1. a [noncount] : the act of finding an answer or solution to a conflict, problem, etc. : the act of resolving something.
According to this, there was no answer or solution found, thus no resolution. I was to either pay to get a falsely-diagnosed car back or pay to have repairs made. All of the repair suggestions would not have fixed my issue. I was deceived and the ACTUAL resolution was with another place for $1 worth of parts.

You may at any time cancel the ****************** contract you purchased for your vehicle it is prorated for the time you had the contract. If you have a lien on the vehicle the refund will go directly to your financial institute. This can be done by visiting the Dealership and meeting with finance to sign the cancellation form. We must have a signed cancellation form in order for us to perform the cancellation. You may also use the Schumacher Automotive Website by choosing the Finance tab at the top of the page and selecting Cancellations.
We are sorry that we do not stock all brands of oil filters at every location, this is not possible due to the number of different filters for each Manufacturer.
Thank you for your inquiry and we will be happy to cancel your warranty once all of the proper paperwork is submitted.

While I understand your position based on the repair order estimate you referenced, I would like to clarify that my complaint is primarily focused on the diagnosis service and not an actual repair job. I never gave authorization for a repair, but only for a diagnosis of the vehicle's A/C issue. The signed document you referred to was an estimate for diagnosis.
Upon reviewing the diagnosis report and the estimate document, it clearly states that the shop fee was not approved, and it is reflected as $0.00. This discrepancy raises concerns about the transparency and consistency of your service charges.
Moreover, ************************** initial quote was $250 for the diagnosis, which did not mention or include the shop supply costs. There seems to be a disconnect between the verbal quote provided and the subsequent charges.
It's essential to ensure that customers are fully aware of any and all charges they are incurring. I feel that the addition of the $45.02 was neither transparent nor properly communicated.
I believe in resolving matters amicably and hope you reconsider your position. The main point of contention is not the amount, but the principle of clear communication and ethical business practices. We are sorry that you do not agree with the Shop Supply Costs associated with your diagnostics. Our shop supply cost is explained on the Workorder that you signed, by signing the work order to begin with diagnostics, and then repair if you approve. In this instance you did not approve the repairs suggested. Our work order states: We have added a charge equal to 10% of the total cost of labor and parts, not to exceed $50.00 to the Repair Order. This charge represents costs and profits to the motor vehicle repair facility for miscellaneous shop supplies and waste disposal.
The shop fee was approved by you signing the Workorder. We are very transparent in communicating with our clients as our documentation clearly states that a charge equal to 10%, not to exceed $50 will be added to the repair order. This documentation is to be reviewed by our clients prior to signing and includes any and all work including a diagnostic.In this diagnostic of your A/C we attempted 3 times to evacuate the system to be charged. We utilized the A/C machine to find that your A/C would not pass the Vacuum test, in addition to us putting in ***** KG of R1234YF freon. In doing the diagnostics we utilized shop supplies, and the appropriate charge was assessed.Thank you

I had to trade my gti in a few weeks ago that I purchased from the west palm beach store due to issues the car was having. I have reached out to ** the finance manager with the odometer statement and he says I need info the car was paid. It was paid off over 2 weeks ago and I have talked to 2 finance directors a Gsm and a vp of Indirect lending. They said if I have the statement I should be golden. Schumacher repaired an auto for us. There was no communication despite attempts to reach *************************** several times. He finally called to say the car was finished. When we picked it up the battery was dead. We did not have any engine work done. This was work on the rear side of the car. He asked us to wait as he jumped started the car. We questioned the battery and its viability to which he instructed us to drive around for an hour. We did and when we tried to start the car it was clear the battery was destroyed. It was storming that night so despite trying to get help it did not arrive until the next day and they confirmed the battery was destroyed. When I called the shop manager I go no response. I called ********************* on customer service. When she called back she first argued with my story and then reluctantly said shed check into it. She called two days later and asked if **** had called me which he didnt. She instructed me to send the bill to **** and copy her. I did and asked for the tip I paid and our deductible to be paid for the inconvenience. ***** refused to pay any more than the battery and not even the tip. I never received any explanation or empathy. I would never recommend this shop.Business Response

I canceled my Gap policy in April directly through the Gap provider as I spent a total of 3 months calling this dealership with absolutely no luck. The operators placed me on hold and transferred me to a voicemail multiple times and I left many without as much as a call back. I spoke in the beginning of May to a manager because I still have not received my refund money and it is now June and no luck. I called again and continued to either be hung up on or sent to voicemails. This is the worst dealership I have ever had the displeasure of working with in my entire life. A few years ago I brought my previous truck to the Northlake location for regular service (oil change & tire rotation). When I got my truck back, I immediately could tell someone went through my stuff and a lot of change was missing. I addressed that, and left. Not even a minute down Northlake one of my tires began to come off the truck. Thankfully, I went East to get fuel instead of my *********** to 95 or this could've been fatal. That was "handled," but not "great" as I just "settled" with some free used parts.I have sincce been going to ********** location since, and in the beginning it was "better." It's been gradually worsening (long wait times, poor customer service, not filling fluids). Now, yesterday again, another major issue; I was notified my truck was ready so I went to pick it up, and it was not ready, as they brought it through the wash twice once I arrived and then were going to vacuum it. I told them, don't bother, as I was in hurry to return to work. Driving back to work, the truck felt funny as I was calling to file a complaint about the tire psi not being to where I asked, no sticker for next change, oil notification on dash not reset, and not being washed/ready. Have not heard back yet on that.I drove back to work, and then home later yesterday evening, and the truck is just not feeling right. I decided to check the oil hot, then later cold, and it appeared to be very very low. This morning, the truck was for sure, still not operating correctly on my way to work. I had my mechanic at work double check the oil, and he confirmed it is in fact extremely low and could blow the engine. I have tried to call multiple times, and they are not answering the phones.This is absolutely unacceptable.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:That does not make this right, as this was a huge mistake and would've resulted in many issues all the way around. If I had the time, I would've let the engine blow and then taken legal action due to their gross negligence yet again. The engine may have already sustained damage. The more I drive it, it still does not feel right or respond like it used to when accelerating.
Honestly, I am not sure how I want to proceed at this moment as I have not really had time to deal with this or even think about it, with the extreme busy-ness at work this week and next week as we wrap up this school year and I am routing for summer school.
