My husband and I both used Harmony United Psychiatric for our medication when we moved to ******* from *******. My insurance covered my care but my husband's did not so we paid out of pocket for his care. We paid $400 for a new patient appointment, $100 of which was supposed to be a refundable deposit. We paid $75 up front before every online appointment my husband had which was mandatory in order to even see our doctor. My husband and I had long since stopped using Harmony United Psychiatric, not because of their service but because we had care that was covered by our insurance elsewhere, and $75 per appointment just to get refills was very steep. About a year after his last appointment with them we began receiving calls saying we owed them $125 but they could never tell us exactly what for. We never even got our $100 deposit back even though we had mentioned it several ******** would have been impossible for him to owe them $125 as we paid $400 for his new patient appointment and every appointment he had thereafter required payment of $75 BEFORE service. They have been harassing us nearly non-stop for going on two years over this $125 we supposedly owe them but they cannot explain the charge or give us a date of when the charge was supposed to be made. We have sent them every receipt to every appointment we have ever made and they still call. We blocked their number but then they started calling from different numbers and leaving threatening voicemails, threatening to send the bill to collections if we do not pay within a certain time period. They never do send it and will call again with the same threat and another time limit to pay before it gets sent. In the long-run this service does the opposite of what it was created to do, and will destroy your mental health rather than help you or uplift you in any way.

Horribke!!! Aweful! !! We should all get together and file a class action lawsuit because this company seems to be getting away with billing "bait and switch" for quite some time. I had to pay $200 for an exam upfront with the understanding that $100 will be returned. Not only did I NOT get it back, they bill me $20. I refuse to pay and go back and forth asking for an itemized bill. They send me details and low and behold my $200 doesn't appear (they acknowledge the $200 but not on the itemed bill). They actually email me instructing me to just "add it" and continue through. I responded with patients rights legally allow me to receive an all inclusive bill. I told them I will not pay anything and they threatened to cancel all future appoints. I said good riddance. Two days later I get a reminder of an appointment (their sloppiness is self explanatory there). I responded with cancel. I get a call to reschedule. I hang up on them. This is just ridiculous. Today I receive a bill for $100. I guess it is their way of keeping the upfront money. Since you owe me $100 and you bill me $100. We are balanced. It is a wash. I am not paying a ***** more. Take me to court. I will get a lawyer. Not another red cent.....and stop calling, texting and emailing me. It is the law to stop contact upon my request. I am going to the State Atty ******** ****** too. These guys must be stopped!!! I have every email and have everything to prove their scheme. I would ask for a refund but they will probably mock up another bill. All their responses are like that...typical bad practices. Thieves!!!

We appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns raised in ************************* complaint. At Harmony United, we take our billing processes very seriously and are committed to transparency and accuracy in all financial matters.Regarding the complaint, we would like to clarify the following points:1. Initial Payment and Refund: ********************* paid $200 as an advance for the Neurocognitive Testing (NCT), understanding that $100 would be applied towards the cost of testing material and the remaining $100 would remain as a deposit, which will be refunded to the patient after the testing is performed, provided all co-pays and other account balances being settled. The patient has a $40 Co-pay for Mental Health and a $50 Co-pay for Neurocognitive Testing. Our records indicate that ********************* has not fulfilled her co-pay obligations. Consequently, the $100 refund was applied to settle these outstanding co-pays.2. Outstanding Balance: After applying the initial deposit against the pending co-payments, there remains an outstanding account balance of $150 for the appointments attended by *********************. This amount is solely the patients responsibility and needs to be settled. At Harmony United, we ensure that all billing is conducted ethically and accurately, with no chance of false billing. The worst psychiatry I have been to as of yet. Since around a year ago, this choice to seek out treatment for my severe ADHD has only left me with continuous stress ever since the beginning. I had been given Vyvanse two years ago from a previous provider from my diagnoses until I had changed insurances and had to start from ground-zero. When I had wanted to begin some type of medication and sent my multi page diagnoses, I was told each was invalid and were simply no good. I had asked what was wrong with them, and received no response. They offered to start me on a very low dose on an ineffective medication that had never worked for me years prior, in which did nothing to improve any of my symptoms. I was then pestered into taking a lipid panel and told it was urgent, in which I did. Despite having insurance, this cost me hundreds of dollars and did nothing to change the then current state of my needs. Every staff member I then sent my diagnosis to told me it was no good, despite using it to get medication prescribed to me for many years previously. I then left this practice, and attempted to file a complaint, but never received a call back despite being told I would receive one. As is the case with a majority of psychiatrists, this company cares only about how much money they can squeeze out of the mentally ill and very little about the job they are paid to do.

Never, ever go to ************** in *************. The very worst provider I've ever had the displeasure of working with; rude, unprofessional, zero accountability, gaslit me for the entire appointment. She couldn't even be bothered to bring the medical file to the appointment to refer to. The offshore billing/scheduling is a challenge to deal with, but nothing compared to the absolute incompetence I experienced today with **************.

This place is horrendous, and I mean horrendous. Because of them my disabled son lost his private insurance. The office is clearly run by an offshore company and if I had to guess I would say it is run out of India. My insurance required my son to have a form filled out by a doctor to continue his coverage as he is over the age of 26 and even after two months' time since personally dropping off the form and countless phone calls, nothing has been done and my son's insurance was terminated. Then, as if they haven't done enough damage, they want to try and bill him $400 for his last appointment because his insurance was terminated because of their actions and inactions! They can't get a doctor to sign the form because there is NO doctor there ever to do so. You will be sent to see a nurse and that is about it. This place should literally be shut down. I am going to be consulting with a lawyer to see about bringing legal action against this facility. They cannot be allowed to continue to do what they do to people, especially people with mental illness issues who are some of the most vulnerable in our society. It's a disgrace!

Both of my children were seen here and covered under their insurance. In January of 2022 they no longer took their insurance, never told me, allowed them to be seen for almost a year. Never asking me to pay a bill the entire time. I was notified they did not take my insurance and canceled all further appointments. Starting in 2023 they are new telling me I owe thousands like over $5,000 without ever knowing I was racking up a bill at all. Scam artist. Lawsuit is being filed and I would stear clear of these scammers. Care was very let me just refill your meds. Which I didn't mind so much since my children had been on the same medications for 5+ years and it was working fine. But if you are really needing help figuring out what's going on with you. Definitely not the place for you.

Thank you for contacting us. The patients have a United Health care Medicaid plan. We accept multiple insurances from UHC but not Medicaid. You can check our accepted insurance plan from the below link.
      https://hupcfl.com/accepted-insurances/.
Earlier, we informed the patient that we do not accept any Medicaid plan. However, there was miscommunication between our staff and the patient’s parents regarding the UHC Medicaid plan, which led to scheduling appointments with the patients.
The two patients received 12 appointments with the UHC Medicaid plan. It is the patients’/patient’s parent’s responsibility to pay for the services that are not covered under their insurance plans. However, our management team has decided to work diligently with these patients’ parents directly to address her concerns and resolve this issue. As a one-time courtesy we have adjusted the balance for the two patient accounts. Currently, they do not have any due balance.

The billing & accounting departments are totally incompetent. When I went for my 1st appointment, they took my medicare & supplemental insurance info. Later, I received an invoice for the amounts not paid by medicare, so without realizing they had not sent the claims to my supplemental insurance, I paid this invoice. The next month, I received a new invoice for the same amount as the 1st invoice, so again, I paid it. After a couple months, I received another invoice for a higher amount. Again, I paid it. After a bit, I started thinking about my payments & figured out that I should not have had to pay anything. I called & they said they didn't have my supplemental info. So where did my info go when I gave it to them in the first place? I'll never know. Anyway, I gave them my supplemental info, they filed the claims & were paid. I had to call them to tell them that I should be reimbursed for the amounts I had paid. They mailed me a check for part of my payments but not all. When they sent me a copy of my account statement, they had never posted my payments. They had to add what they thought i paid, then mailed a check for that. I had to call so many times & constantly was told my account had no balance so they do not owe me anymore. They would then forward my call to an accounts manager, but these so-called managers never answer their phone. You have to leave a voice mail, but they never return your call. Yesterday, i had one guy in the billing department hang up on me & another one told me to hang up & call right back. I'm sure that was so he could avoid answering my call.
It wasn't until i gave them a bad review on their website that anyone actually looked into my concern. At the end of the day yesterday, i was finally told that my remaining refund had been initiated & I should receive the check in a week. Hopefully they didn't just tell me that so I would quit calling.
I will never use Harmony United Pschiatric Care again.

I had an appointment canceled and called to reschedule the lady gave me attitude because the days I had open my doctor didn’t have available. I was told she’s out of the office and to refill my medication that can’t be abruptly stopped I needed to make an appointment. I explained to the scheduling department I made an appointment for a reason. I was hung up on from the scheduling department. I called back to talk to the manager and he told me the reason for my appointment being canceled was I because I had an outstanding balance of $400 since 2021. I have been seeing my doctor for over a year and now I’m being told this. Something so simple if I was told in advance but seeing how my medication is going to run out and I can’t make an appointment until this is resolved by the insurance company I’m now going to be off my medication. My insurance said there is no reason for it being denied and it will take 30days to resolve but they’re denying me service until it’s paid in full. How is this okay and why can’t I speak with my doctor? I asked for a refill on my medication until it is resolved by insurance and again they said they can’t without an appointment. I am upset and will be changing doctors I would NOT go to this place again and advise anyone else who is seeking help to avoid this place! It seems to me I’m not the only one after reading the reviews. This place needs to be shut down. If my insurance is okay and taking care of it on their end why do i have to suffer and possibly rebound and suffer physically do to not having my medication!?!? I’m so overwhelmed and upset over this!

Being able to speak to someone in the office doesn’t happen you will only get someone in a call center who clearly doesn’t understand the extent of someone being off medication for their mental health. I have called back multiple times and the last was with Steven a manager through the call center who told me in an aggressive way there is nothing more he can do until that bill is paid. I have insurance and there is no reason they can’t allow me another appointment until it is handled. I have paid for every appointment I have been to since 2021 when that bill was outstanding. I’m confused at the fact that they didn’t tell me on their recorded line that I had an outstanding balance when I was paying my co pay for over a year. Instead they want to wait until a few days before my appointment, cancel it and demand me pay $400 before I can see or speak to my doctor! Why was this not told to me when I was paying my co pay like any other respectful doctors office would do? Instead they stop you from communicating to your doctor who clearly knows the repercussions of not being on your medication would do and the mental and physical damage I will have to face in the days ahead waiting for this to be handled. Why can’t they call my insurance like I asked so they can hear it is fine and I don’t have to pay it. If I suffer physically they can bet their asses I will be suing them!

It’s simple insurance issues they can call and speak to them and find out it was a simple mistake and I don’t owe that only my co pay. Why cause someone to go without seeing a or speaking to their doctor. They need to have someone inside the office so we can reach out to explain and someone who understands how sever this could be for patients who are without their medication for mental health.

They billed my insurance company and I paid the insurance company in full. They said I had over a $200 bill. They threatened to send the bill to collections. They don't care about your mental health. They scheduled me for a Friday appointment and no one showed up. Trash company. They don't care about you.
