1 starI got completely taken advantage of during the purchase of my RV as a first time buyer. During a phone call I was told "I'm going to go ahead and get your tires and paint protected for you". which was said in a way that made it sound like a complementary service. What was not explained was that this was an optional add on of $4,000 which was then added to my purchase price. I was NEVER asked if I wanted it done and they NEVER disclosed the costs to me at any point until it was too late for me to do anything about it. Disgraceful to be so manipulative and deceptive about additional costs.Review fromC J E

1 starOn 1/31/2025, I called Giant Recreation World and spoke with the Sales Manager. I needed an estimate on a camper. He took my information and has never called me back. I have tried calling him back numerous times, but he is either on vacation or has the day off. All other dealers that I have called have given me an estimate that day. I have found Giant Recreation World to be NOT very customer service oriented. Thank you.Review fromKenneth R

1 starSales department is ok service on the other hand is a rip off. Took my motor home to ************ location for warranty for life (which is a joke) in 2023 for the inspection. Tech put down two tubes of dicor caulking on the roof $26.00 for the dicor, $119.00 for labor. Inspection 2024 another tube of dicor one six inch line over last years and again $119.00 in labor. So either last yeas tech didnt know what he was doing or this is a scam, Im believing a scam. Has a loose fitting on the hot water tank propane line and was chargers $102.00 to tighten it. Took my RV for two recalls tech never explained what was done on an electrical recall and left saw dust all over the dash seats and floor from working in a cabinet. Never been treated like this before and Ive owned many different RV since 1978. Returned a unsatisfied card to the CEO havent heard a word back.Review fromRobert R

1 starLet me preface this with this: I have never written a negative review. I always find something good that keeps me from doing one. But this experience has made me lose sleep so I have to vent. I found a Motorhome on RV Trader that we were interested in. I made an appointment to come look at the unit. We drove our trade in Motorhome to the dealership. The sales manager inspected our trade. And came back with a us low trade in of $4.5k. We said no. He came up $4k which was still lower than I expected but we signed a sales agreement and put a no refundable down payment of $5k. I wish we could have drove the vehicle off the lot that day. But they said we would have to come back in a week so they could get the unit ready. When we returned the sales manager said our unit was in worse shape then he expected, even though he had 100% access the week before to inspect our trade in. He said it would cost him $8k to fix our unit to be able to sell it. He offered to split the difference and wanted us to pay $4k more down payment. We decided to do this deal. But on our drive home I realized that we had a sales agreement signed by us and the sales manager. That should have been binding. Especially since he had already inspected our motorhome the week before. I believe this is not the first time this sales manager has pulled this on unsuspecting customers. Oh and the unit that he said had $8k worth of repairs before he could sell it was put back on the within two day at 12k more than they paid to us. This is very unethical business practice. I would not recommend this dealership.Review fromEdward F

1 starDeceptive and ******************* at Giant Recreation World - ******** I deeply regret purchasing a Tiffin coach from Giant Recreation World - ********. The sales team misled me from the start, telling me the previous buyer backed out because he lost his job. In reality, the buyer had an inspection done, which revealed multiple serious issues with the coachproblems significant enough for them to walk away from the deal.Giant Recreation World withheld this crucial information from me, and now my brand-new coach has been stuck at their facility for over four months due to these known issues. Even worse, after all this time, they were still unable to complete the necessary repairs sufficiently. I am now forced to transport my coach to ****** in ******* to get the work done properly.Their lack of transparency, honesty, and competency is shocking. If you're considering doing business here, think twice. They seem more interested in making a sale than in being truthful or providing proper service to their customers.Review fromStan B

Have not had it for more than a week the first time I went to pick it up the unit died the second time that I picked it up the unit died again.I continued to ask Giant Recreation World to return the unit and allow me to get something else but unfortunately, this wasn't an option for me.Please note all work orders were authorized by ********** Coach, the manufacturer.Per FL Administrative Code, Section 2-30.001(c) Out-of-service day - Any day, including weekends and holidays, when the motor vehicle is left at an authorized service agent or manufacturer's designated repair facility for an examination or repair of one or more nonconformities. The motor vehicle was out of service for a total of 203 days. For all previous work orders, the authorized agent contacted me to pick up the Motor vehicle. After the final repair attempt was not completed successfully on the last repair completion I was not notified. As of today, the unit still has ongoing issues while driving.I e-mailed Giant Recreation World ****************** on March 18, 2024, and they would not be able to receive the unit until June 3, 2024, rendering motor coach as FL Statute Section ******* "Nonconformity" and unlawful per FL Statute Section 316.217(1).Please note that I have not been able to use this unit but one time and when I did use the unit, It revealed ongoing issues along with new issues. After finding out how long it would take them to be able to bring the unit in for repair I requested from the Account manager an estimate of the value of the unit and what they are willing to pay for the unit, My GOD $70,000.00 in the hole.I have been paying every month for a year on a $208k RV that I can't use I have tried to contact the general manager, and the store manager, but the only one that I can talk to is the service manager who has been wonderful, but does not stop the fact that I have a unit that I cannot use.CAP-RV program with no luck.WHAT CAN A CONSUMER DO?BEWAREGiant Recreation World

We are working diligently to get the last of the long list of repair items approved by the warranty ********** of **** RV's. I also know that they have plans for the 4th of July weekend and it has been about a week since we wrote up the last work order. This is most likely causing angst and I feel terribly about the situation. Until we get the official word from ****, there is nothing we can do to help him without performing all the repairs internally. His factory **** warranty lapsed but we are going to bat for him. I will keep everyone posted. The big difference to what we would purchase the unit back for is due to the fact when it was sold, it was a new, untitled vehicle. It is now a used, titled vehicle and not worth the same money as it was originally. He is also not going to get the tax, tag and fees he paid back in a reverse transaction. During the sale of our RV, the sales manager told us that he needed to raise the price to cover the cost of registering in *********, and then did not register it, leaving us to pay for it twice. This guy lied EVERY TIME I talked to him. I have multiple adults who heard him tell lies. He is a VERY dishonest person! Fast Forward a few months, the regional sales manager told us that he was aware of how this guy had been doing business, and that he could correct his actions (this conversation happened in front of the business manager). This ultimately led to nothing. Fast forward a few more months, and the owner will not address any of these conversations between these people and us. He will only ********** paperwork, specific situation scenarios blah blah blah. All of this may be true, but it is also true that your employee collected money from me to register in ********* and then did not register in *********, and your regional manager knows this happened. As a family business, it would seem like this is a moral issue that overrides (or at least equals) a piece of legal paperwork, a cash sale, or any other legal garbage you can come up with. Long story short..... The owner is only honoring what is in writing, even though the regional sales manager admitted this guy was dishonest in front of another manager. I have noticed the owner likes to discredit people after they write a bad review, so for most of you who dont know me, I am going to school on the ** Bill at ****************** so I can get into a ministry position. Either that means something to you or it doesnt. Many other full time RV families have asked me about my experience here, and that number will go up as I expand my ministry (which is based on full-time RV families). I want to again correct a couple things that you are expressing as I have already done in emails directly to you and in response to your complaint with the ********* ******** of ******** Affairs two times to date. This entity has accepted our answers with the backup paperwork we supplied to them. You absolutely do not have to pay for your tax and tag twice per your complaint here on ****** and other venues you are using in an effort to hurt us when we did absolutely nothing wrong. ********* is a reciprocal state with *******. Per the reciprocity agreement between the two states, we collected 6% sales tax being a ******* dealer. We also had you sign a form stating that you paid that much sales tax and when you do the tag and title work in your home state and home DMV office, you will receive credit for this amount of tax that was paid. You will have to pay any additional tax and title fees per your state. You are paying zero more tax in total than if you purchased a unit in your home State. If you were financing the purchase, we would have been forced to do the tag and title work for you at your local DMV in the state you are registering it in. This would have been due to regulations the banks require to ensure that they are added as lienholder to the titles. When we do this, we use a 3rd party vendor who supplies all the paperwork for us on your behalf. Every state and every county have different requirements and as a ******* dealer, we would in no way be able to administer this ourselves. This 3rd party vendor does in fact charge a fee to do this and that fee is then charged to the customer. Because you paid cash, we collected only the amount of tax that is reciprocal, had you sign the forms needed so that when you go to your local DMV the tax paid to us would be credited to the total tax and you would only have to pay the difference between the two. If for some reason your local DMV will not accept that you already paid 6% sales tax per the paperwork, we supplied to you then I will of course eat crow, give you a full refund of the tax amount per that form and you can then pay for your sales tax in total plus any tag and title fees your state charges. I am not disrespecting you by this response, just informing. My information matches the paperwork, matches my questions with our employees and matches the conversations you have had with our employees after receiving your first email complaint. I am also going to use this response to answer the other complaints you posted because they are the same complaints you published in all of them to date. CEO *****Review fromChristine K

The most unpleasant experience weve ever encountered with a RV dealership. We were quoted a price on a destination trailer and trading our trailer in the process. Made arrangements to meet the salesperson on the morning of the meeting in person. We drove 1 1/2 hours there only to be told that the quote had increased thousands more. Opinions were exchanged and resulted in the salesperson losing his temper and walking out on us. Very unprofessional. Minus zero star rating.Giant Recreation World

On behalf of Giant Recreation World of Ormond Beach and I, we want to apologize for any misunderstanding that there may have been. Upon my investigation we quoted you a few different scenarios whereas you showed up a couple of weeks after that. These quotes were on 2023 units that had been sold before you came in. Your request for us ordering a 2024 unit deleting several options at a severe discount was not in our ability to do. Selling RV's is what we all do for a living here and it is not a benefit to us if we fail to achieve making a deal. The quote you received from a dealer in Alabama was beyond our ability to match and after you questioned our sales managers integrity, you were kindly asked to leave. Our salesperson was present to this and again, sorry for things not working out. CEO LarryReview fromSHELLEY RENE B

After reading these reviews , I am upset that I did not do this prior to buying from this company. Before I berate anyone from this store in Palm Bay, I would rather have the CEO contact us first to hopefully fix the situation......Giant Recreation World

I apologize for not responding sooner however I have been out of town and on vacation. I did forward your concerns to the Service team there at Giant Recreation World of Palm Bay and saw where they reached out, went over everything and that you seemed to be in good shape. As far as you are seeing all the negative BBB reviews, that platform is not for positives. ****** reviews is the best venue to size up dealers and to be honest the industry itself makes it tough not to get some negative reviews. I personally respond to all online reviews, good and bad and use them as a way to train and improve our process. As you were explained, dropping your rig off for service and not seeing one of our advisors is not the best way to go. That circumvents our process and ultimately leads to poor results. Please feel free to email me directly at *************** if you need to discuss things further. That is the best way to communicate with me as I travel all over at any given day. I also don't handle the day to day in any one department or location's but I always know who to get involved and then I always follow up to make sure things are good. CEO Larry.Review fromJessica B

WORST COMPANY EVER. If we could give 0 stars we absolutely would. We purchased 1 travel trailer and a fifth wheel in 2023. The problems started before we ever used them. These were brand new! In fact the list of repairs needed at the walk through was the first red flag. Had we not already paid, we would have cancelled the transaction at that point. Holes in the sofas, dirty interiors, leaking slides, connections set up incorrectly, dryer wiring catching on fire, leaks in the water hook ups from day one. Faulty hot water heater. Nothing was sealed and we had to put caulking around the whole fifth wheel so bugs could not come in. We started using them in March and it has been one thing after another. We have made so many calls to get repairs done and we never are able to get a reliable person to come do the repairs. We are living in the 5th Wheel while we build and we didn't have the rear AC all summer. After calling and leaving messages with service and the warranty department we ended up having to drive over to even talk to someone. They sent a repair man who came and took everything apart in JULY. He ended up ordering parts. Supposedly the first part was incorrect from the manufacturer. Then shipping was delayed. Then he went on vacation. Now he just doesn't answer the calls. Here we are in October and still no AC. If we get a call back from Recreation World it's a miracle. They promised to have someone else to come out and fix the problem. Still nothing.
Giant Recreation World does not value their customers. Once you leave the lot do not expect any customer with your warranty. We work in Sales and we would not treat our customers with complete disregard. If you are considering purchasing with them.....run as fast as you can! Find a company that values their customers. A company that stands behind a product that they sell. Don't expect any help from management either. It's a waste of time. The lifetime warranty is a joke. It doesn't exist.Giant Recreation World

Investigating your situation was very difficult but I finally figured out who you folks are. I also instituted our service team to reach out to you and formulate a game plan and I am happy I did. You purchased your unit from our Giant Recreation World of Ormond Beach location under your company name. That was the first issue I ran into. After finding out your info, I didn't show a single work order created since your initial purchase work order where we got the unit ready and delivered it to you. When we referred you to a mobile RV Repair guy you thought that person was affiliated with us. That is not the case. You were informed that we do not perform in park RV repair service, had you initial and sign a form to that effect but still there is frustration. My understanding is that you came in and had a face to face with our Service Manager there. Things were explained and we are going to help the mobile repair service with the paperwork so your roof air conditioner can get replaced, etc. as well as create and submit warranty claims for them as a sublet so they can finish the job. Sorry for the frustration, really. CEO Larry.
