      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I received a phone call from Hope who works for Veterinary Healthcare Associates and she told me via voice mail that the fee is being removed. I returned her call but left a voice mail. I want to make sure they also remove any derogatory marks on my credit report and that the collection agency they sent my account to is also informed.

      Sincerely,

      ***** ********

no way they could have approached my dog to examine her. Now they have sent this bill to collections, ruining my credit. I don't have any late payments or anything and now they do this? Please help me. I can not afford an attorney, but I am certain this practice should not be legal. They did not even look at her. How can they get away with this? Thank you.

Dear Mrs. ********************* you for taking the time to bring this matter to our attention.  First, we sincerely apologize for an frustration and confusion caused during your visit and afterward with the billing.  It sounds like there was a significant miscommunication regarding the nature of the services provided,  and we deeply regret that this has led to your current situation.  From what you've descried, it appears the initial consultation fee was applied, which typically includes the veterinarians time, nurses time, effort, and resources allocated by our team, even though a full physical examination of your pet could not be completed due to safety concerns.  However, we completely understand and validate your feelings.  In situations where a pet is unable to be physically examined due to behavioral challenges, we of still conduct assessments based on the the history provided and any observations we can make, while maintaining the safety of both the pet and our team.  That said, your concern about being billed has been heard and we have removed to consultation fee from your account.  I can only hope that this resolves your concern as our goal is to ensure that all of our clients feel fairly treated and listened to.  Again, I apologize for any distress this situation has caused.  Please contact us at ******************* if you have any further questions or concerns.

On March 4, 2022, I brought my pet to the ER because my pet had not eaten for 5 full days or more, eating less and less for ten days in a row. ER vet said my pet was anemic and needed a blood transfusion and a feeding tube. The ER said possibly 2 or 3 blood transfusions and on the estimate I paid the required 75% down with a credit card. My pet needed one blood transfusion and they never gave her the feeding tube she needed and that made her condition get much worse very quickly and though I asked them to keep my pet to feed her, they did not feed her to get food into her stomach. My pet had terminal cancer for one year and was going to pass away in the near future but could have lived for weeks or months longer. By not giving my pet the feeding tube, my pet's condition accelerated so my pet was paralyzed but fully conscious when I took her home. As vets they knew my pet required food to stay alive for a longer time, but they starved my pet and lied to me about it and pressured me to have my pet stay there when they knew I thought they were feeding my pet with the feeding tube, when they were not. They tried to keep my pet to make my pet die. My pet did not need to become paralyzed, and they caused it to happen making my pet suffer greatly. I do not care what medicine or treatments they gave my pet because they harmed my pet and my pet passed away much sooner than my pet would have if they had given my pet the feeding tube. They "pulled" the feeding tube to cause my pet's death. I want my $5811.72 money fully refunded because they caused my pet to become paralyzed instead of letting me take my pet home. The ER vet lied to me that he would give my pet the feeding tube he knew my pet needed, and two ICU vets did not try to make sure my pet got enough daily food into her stomach that her body required. All 3 vets did not care about, like or give my pet the veterinary care my pet had to have that was already paid for. They caused my pet was suffer when she had not been

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Everything they are saying is a lie. The so-called vets prescribed the blood transfusion and feeding tube for my pet, did the blood transfusion, and then never did the feeding tube my pet required. My pet had not eaten for ten days but a morsel and was starving and needed to be fed with the feeding tube and all three vets knew it but denied giving my pet the feeding tube. This caused my pet to come home paralyzed. VHA is criminal and they were trying to make my pet die there but I picked her up in time for her to be alive when she got home, but my pet was paralyzed. Now, all they do is lie and lie and pretend that this owner did things wrong when they know it was them that did. My pet had terminal cancer so they denied my pet food totally so my pet would die fast and at their so-called animal hospital. They did not care about my pet and they did their very worst, no feeding tube for my pet to get necessary nutrition into her stomach. It breaks my heart that something like this happened to my pet. My pet never expected to be treated so badly and this owner trusted these horrible vets and they should lose their licenses and refund the cost totally. This is a clear-cut case of malpractice committed by three vets all together in a row.
