      Hi my name is ******************************* received a response back from my grievance I filed. I am contacting you guys because I have a life threatening tooth infection that I need a serious work done. I was told when my grievance was filed that they was going to tell you guys that I needed a repair done to several tooths which is why the grievance was filed. I would like a copy of the phone call you guys went back on august 15th 2022 with the rep I spoke with. I explained to her what work I was getting done and asked if I would be covered I was told yes. Sorry but I am not going to pay on a old membership if I am not being reinstated on my Previous membership I should not have to Pay for a membership that I am not able reinstate and continue my Old membership. I am aware of the policy I am Also aware that you guys have the ability to waive the waiting period due to me needing serious work done. I am also asking for the director of Delta Dental first and last name please. I am not going to continue to pay on a old membership if I am not continuing with my Old membership. When you guys search my last name you will see that my whole Family uses you guys service. I have been a customer for several years this is frustrating because I am going through a kidney infection and tooth infection at the same time its scary. I was given misinformation and would like a copy of the call that you guys said you went back and viewed. I need several major work done on 3 tooths that I have that is causing me to miss work. The pain is unbearable and me reinstating my delta dental I thought I was basically continuing with my old membership. I dont believe my matter was being taken as a priority which I was told over the phone with customer service that it was going to be expedited and took 30Days. Sorry and hope we can resolve this matter.

      Called Delta Dental today. AI voice was useless, routed to a Live Person. Asked for reason I was calling. Informed the lady, I want to cancel my policy. Put on hold for 1 hour, rerouted to 4 different representatives, it appeared that I woke 2 of them up, took 45 seconds to 1 minute to become coherent enough to carry on a conversation. The 3rd rep, had phone problems, but finally was able to carry on a conversation, explained what I wanted, he routed me to another company (MWG) to get the policy cancelled. The lady at *********************** Group was very efficient and well versed in business policies. She asked if I would tell her the reason for the cancellation, I said yes. I recently had a dental procedure, the bill totaled $ ****** and Delta Dental only paid $ ***** on the procedure. My dental provider would have knocked off $ 150 on the bill had I paid with cash, check of CC.. Delta Dental in my opinion is worthless, I wish I had known just how worthless this policy was before using it. I would have used the monthly payments for Feeding Children, St. **** or Animal Shelters, something of benefit, not lining someone's pockets! In my humble opinion, stay far away from Delta Dental! JC

      ZERO STARS Single worst insurance company EVER. I have to accept this type of insurance due to its connection with my medical insurance, there is no choice in the matter its what Im stuck with. Their website is complete useless, one cannot even send a customer service request, or view benefits, as their page is constantly being 'worked on'/'updated', which it isn't. The page always says this.The phone experience is even more aggravating, basically being passed around and placed literally on endless hold. The only time I have ever spoken with someone I wasted 5 hours of a day being placed on hold or shuffled around to the next nonexistent customer service agent. If you canNOT get this type of dental insurance, and choose literally anything else, it is strongly advised. They are horrible.

      I realized today that for the past 15 years (or however long we have had delta) I have been paying 3X more in premiums vs what they pay for my maintenance. This is the first year I have actually needed it for something else, and it maxed at $500. I have already paid almost $800 out of pocket and now I have to pay for a root canal over my crown. Open enrollment will be here soon and I will not have dental insurance for the first time in 23 years that I have worked for the state. I feel totally stupid not to have figured this out before now. I feel vunerable without insurance (home, auto, health, vision, dental) but realize now I need to reconsider some of these. And let's also mention the 40 minute wait on line, or a call back.

      Don't bother purchasing. They list 8 dental providers on the ************* Advantage United Healthcare site as accepting coverage but NONE take new patients. The closest I can get a dentist is over 12 miles away. No transportation provided for ********* No openings until March 2023. Confirmed this with Patient Advocate Elli.

      Worst customer experience ever..They do not answer. Period. their customer help line phones. If and when you do get a live person, they turn around and place you on hold,,, again, Pretending to get help and the person never to returns to "Re-Solve" your issue with them. Over 2 hours on hold.

      Terrible. Good luck talking to anyone regarding claims. Try to email them and get an error message. They change all the codes so they don't have to pay anything.

      Calling on a Sunday to ask why everything has to be (PPO premiere) and not just regular PPO dentists to choose from. (I pay out a bucket load every bi-weekly paycheck that standard services should be paid for 100% but I'm always paying out of pocket because of the dumb Premier and otherwise out of network dentists). Went through all the answering of the questions for them to say that their closed was highly annoying. On the weekends they should have a different automated service saying that they're closed before having to go through the stupid verification.

      I work for a dental office. I was trying to get a fax back of dental benefits for a patient and was transferred 5 times to different reps because they can't fax us a break down and would either sent me back to the automated machine which didn't give me the option for a ******* or hung up on me. Most of them sounded like they had just woken up too. Very rude and not helpful at all. I spoke with ******, ******** and ******. As a dental office we need this information so when we file claims we have everything needed to check out a patient. We don't have the time to be transferred over and over between representatives. Unprofessional! I would give them 0 stars if I could.

      I too propose a zero-star review. We have been paying this insurance for years. What is the actual point? We had to cancel our appointments to see our provider. Delta has given us the wrong provider, making it impossible for us to see our own. When we contact our provider, they say Delta says we are not insured. When we call Delta, Delta says they can't find the provider, a longstanding dental chain. They mysteriously assigned my husband to a provider in a random city. When I try to change the provider online, it gives me an error. I have been on hold with them for 30 minutes now and am still awaiting for a representative to make this very simple but vital change to our accountbecause, without it, we have no access to our dental provider. The saga continues.
