DO NOT USE. My wife signed up for an Insurance plan where the stated one plan and quoted her on. Next day she called back to confirm as they didn't send us an emails confirming but charged our card super quickly. Upon calling back, she finds out everything the initial rep said was a lie, this wasnt insurance it was a healthshare plan. The deductibles were completely wrong, the price was completely wrong. The great healthcare benefits the original rep quoted was no longer available in our area anymore. Miraculously disappeared within 24 hours. We canceled right away, never received a confirmation. Called a few times to request email confirmation of cancellation, still no email but reassured cancellation. Called back 6 days later due to no refund being seen and now they stated, "it was still active and never cancelled. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company when we shouldve never had to deal with this. And they still cannot send us an email of any kind stating we canceled. Do not use this

UHF **************** thanks the writer for taking the time to send in a review of this uniquely troubling experience of signing up for a health care program. Clearly, the miscommunication/disconnect happened at the original point of sale with a third-party agency, which was outside the view and control of any UHF **************** representative. UHF **************** would welcome getting to the bottom of this matter, and invites the writers wife (the one who experienced the trouble) to connect with customer service at ****************************************** to ensure that this situation has been resolved and not repeated again.

We thank the reviewer for taking the time to write a review about their experience with ***. We are sorry that his experience wasnt a good fit with his medical cost needs. The health sharing program the reviewer was a member of only utilizes in-network providers a list of whom he and all *** members are provided with at the onset of their program, so they can ensure that their provider of choice is in the network. That list, which includes over ******* providers nationwide, is also available for continued reference via the members online portal page. In the specific health cost sharing program the reviewer was a member of, no medical cost payments are reimbursable or sharable when charged by an out-of-network provider. This point is published in the Sharing Guidelines, which the member acknowledged receiving and pledged to read within the first 15 days. The reviewer purchased the *** health cost sharing program through a third-party sales agent, so we (***) did not participate in the conversation between the two parties as they spoke about the provider network. Universal Health Fellowship (***) has no affiliation with churches. *** is a non-profit medical cost sharing ministry that coordinates voluntary contributions for the sharing of eligible health care costs among plan members united by their non-denominational faith in ethical, moral, and spiritual principles and traditions.

I've since learned that these types of calls are senior abuse tactics. They call you up-lie to you-so you purchase there products. Be careful signing up with Universal Health care. Universal Health care onows I'm telling the honest truth as they "record" the conversations!!

Someone called to "explain the benefits" to me and said they only cover $50 per primary visit, while I pay them $250 / month. Meaning they wouldn't even fully cover seeing a doctor let alone anything the doctor actually does. I let the poor woman know on the other end of the call that the company she works for are crooks, and I needed my initial payment back. If this is a ********* based company, I'm glad we don't pray to the same God.

We thank the reviewer for taking the time to write a review about their experience with UHF. And we are sorry that her experience wasnt a favorable one. The program that the reviewer signed up for (UHS EssentialShare 1), shared the exact amount that was promised in the Sharing Guidelines related to this program. The guidelines, which expressly states that for an Office Visit with a primary care physician or specialist, UHF will share up to $50 for a total number of 3 combined visits per year. At the time of purchase, the reviewer agreed to read the guidelines that noted these details on her EssentialShare 1 program when she started it, so the benefits of the program were explained in writing in advance. While we strive to be a great help to all of our members, we must at all times operate within the parameters of the guidelines, which are always made available for the purchaser to read and acknowledge at the onset of their program. Universal Health Fellowship is a non-profit medical cost sharing ministry that coordinates voluntary contributions for the sharing of eligible health care costs among plan members united by their non-denominational faith in ethical, moral, and spiritual principles and traditions.

I too would give this program 0 or negative stars. Save your money and pay for a "Real" health insurance policy. I called our state of health and somehow was hooked up with this company. Not at all impressed or happy.

Universal Health Fellowship is a non-profit ************************ that coordinates voluntary contributions for the sharing of eligible health care costs among plan members united by their faith in the ethical, moral, and spiritual principles and traditions. We do not claim to be anything different than the above and would never portray ourselves as a traditional for-profit insurance company. We do have several independent broker agencies that are able to enroll members into our programs and perhaps the disconnect was during that process. We apologize to ****************** for any negative experience. We greatly appreciate all feedback so that we may continue to grow, change, and develop into something that all communities and community members would be proud to be a part of.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I have had this plan, paying almost $500.00 per month, for just me, for one year. I was told when signing up that there was NO preferred providers, which is a lie and if you live in a small community, it is almost impossible to find care. This is the biggest rip off and waste of money. I will be filing complaints with the Division of Insurance and make sure this company in investigated.

I am 34 years old and work as an independent contractor. I had an accident while riding my scooter, which required arthroscopic knee surgery. This universal health share refused to help pay for my surgery because they so called it a " pre-existing condition". Ok, so I paid for the surgery out of pocket because I was in excruciating pain and could barely walk. Before my surgery, universal health share assured me that my PT would be covered. Now they say that I am allowed 12 visits only after meeting a $2500 deductible? So now I will have to ALSO pay for the few PT visits I've had. I am so worried that I'm going to also get billed for my orthopedists visits. What is the point in having this healthshare? Someone please explain!
