  ******, scam artist, thieves, bad business, unethical, inhumane, rude, disrespectful , , , & plan out need to be put OUT OF BUSINESS are the words that I think of; when I think of Smith Dental Care **** it's not just this location, but ALL of his locations. I have a group post on ******** under Hartwell Rants and Raves where over 300 comments from multiple customers that are complaining these same exact issues! Dr. ********************** Smith and Smith Dental need to be investigated by the state immediately.

  Do not and I mean do not go to this facility for implants. I have been waiting a year to receive one implant and am currently still waiting on the implant. I paid for the implant in September 2023. Every time I call, they always say it will be here in a few days to a week. That has now turned into 365 days. This is very poor customer service.

  I had to have an emergency tooth extraction, as well as a check in when the socket got infected, and I was only charged $250 with no other charges for the check up or initial consultation. My experience with this dentist has been great!

  This dentist office haven't done nothing but waste my time the and provide very poor customer services. The billing department have incomptent people overseeing it. They tried to say I owe them a 1, 000 when I had completely paid off my daughter braces. When they realized they were wrong. No one appologized for their unprofessionalism. I did discuss the issue / concerns with a previous administor, He made all kinds of promises that wasn't kept. Moving forward to 2024. It's time for her brace to be taken off. First of all they had her down for wrong treatment and i had to tell them she was there to have her braces removed. They said they had to run my insurance again because they had a new system. The insurance only covered some much of my daughter's crown because of course it was a new year and my deductable had started over again. They had supposely ran my insurance back in Nov. for the crown. By this time i am fustrasted. At first they told me they wouldn't have time to complete taking off her braces and doing her crown that day even though that is what she suppose to be scheduled for. After running my insurance, they had time. I guess they thought i didn't have the insurance. I discuss the concern with the current office supervisor ***** and she act like she was going to knock some money off the services. Totally not true. MAY 21, my daughtet appt she was schedule at 3 to have her braces removed. We left Smith Dental at 7:30. Fours hours because them people are so unprofessional. Making up all types of excuses why they didn't start on time. My time is my money.

  Worst experience of my life! Im not one that would typically write reviews good or bad but I feel like people need to know the truth about a place they should be able to trust they are getting the care they need. I went in for a problem ***** to hopefully get fixed and was told I needed some filings done. I knew it need to be done so made an appointment the following week. First red flag I ignored was that the original problem tooth that needed fixed was not even charted in their system that it needed fixed at all. I reminded them which tooth I wanted done which they told me there was just a deep ridge in it but would fix it for me anyways later that day I was having extreme pain and discomfort from the filling rubbing my tongue raw. The next day I made an emergency visit with a new practice and come to find out they filed the tooth in the completely wrong spot and left a hole in the tooth! Now its going to cost triple the cost to repair the damage they have done. This is complete negligence. I would never wish this upon anyone. Please make sure you do your research before you trust anyone with your teeth!

  Oh man, the worst!!! Smith Dental in Hartwell Georgia. I love their line on how they answer the phone. Smith Dental in Hartwell, the is *******, (here it comes). How can I make you smile today? These calls started in Summer of 2023- February, 21, ****. I had a consultation with them in December of 2023. I had ****, deductible in Dec and ****************** January of ****. They lied to me in December and January and said I had no more deductible left. ************************* said well you did sign in December saying the total amount owed is ****. What does that have to do when on that Same paper it states the 4 week plan. 9 teeth where to be pulled on the first week, and $0 dollars owed. 8 on week 2 with 0 dollars owed week 3 was when the payment would start. The first visit, only 3 was pulled . I specifically said I want to work on the top teeth 1st, because I am on SSD. So the dentist pulls 3 from the bottom, . The end of 2023 is over. I lost Estimated $700. Next visit, the dentist starts to extract and makes a joke, Well I didnt pull the ones you wanted out 1st. That was my clue, oh brother. The next visit, the say the dentist has quit the company. I was like ok, I need to talk about what is going on. I walk in the office to try to get financial help and who do I see, the dentist they told me that quit. The front desk said, no has always been here. So now, heres the big thing. Its very strange how you never see any paper work from them, it takes days, weeks to get what you need. They are not supposed to give you the paper work from the same day. Why? Well ******* said I had no more of the ****, so I needed to pay. I told her that is not what the signed paper says that I have at home. She totally shut down. Bottom line in December I had 23 teeth, today I have 15 on the left side and 0 on the right. They totally screwed my smile. My last words were, the line yall use on the phone, I have been telling you, but 0 done .

  Had a crown done incorrectly. Another dentist in the office had to fix the original dentists mistakes after 10 days of serious pain. The 2nd dentist said he would not charge me (covering for the 1st dentist's incompetence, if not malpractice). Almost year later they tried to bill me. Their billing practices maybe fraudulent. No one should go to (or work for) the Athens location until they fix their major staffing issue. The local dental/medical community should really but an end to this once and for all. There are ******** reviews which try to warn people, believe them. Believe the reviews here. Do not use this business.

  If I could give less I would. I had the worst root canal ever! I felt all the pain! I paid over 1k. When I went back they said I had to pay another 1k to get what they messed up fixed. Went to another dentist to get it fixed and Smith had left the roots in! Worst Dental Place ever!

  I got a root canal and Crown and it broke within a year. I decided to go to another dentist due to Smith Dental.having poor bedside manner and the rough care. The new dentist that went to fix it informed me of the root was still attached. They also mentioned it's no way a root canal was done. This business truly needs to close down.

  Absolutely dishonest, unprofessional, unorganized. Quoted me a price in writing, then changed price halfway into the work, adding **** more to the bill! and i still have no teeth done as of this day, i paid ******* in fast installments, and that was a mistake. the dentist had a unqualified assistant attempt to make a temporary partial, THEY PUT SOMEONE ELSE DENTAL MOLD IN MY MOUTH!! I told her it didnt fit, she says just bite down harder! Disgusting!! How UNSANITARY IS THAT?? furthermore the mold had a chipped tooth, HELLO!!... anybody working there have any experience? when they realized it was wrong and wrong shade , she chuckled,and stated, oops we gotta redo this... i misplaced his mold.... ****************** told her , "Let it go" have him come back 2 weeks, i went to look in mirror in horror as i started my car to go home. within 2 hours it fell out and i nearly choked on it!! They never fixed it at all and i still have no lower bridge and partial as promised. ***** will get them in the end. And they have to answer to god one day. I warn everyone to stay away from there. *******************
