      In the last two months they have managed to mess up our business account repeatedly and in variable ways. They combined it with a different business (that has a separate EIN), giving them access to our accounts, then giving us access to their accounts, then locking us out of all of the accounts, then changing the addresses to the accounts, then deleting one of the accounts completely. Each of these issues require one of the officers to go into the bank in person to sign paperwork to correct the issue. We have moved our account to a new bank to get away from the absolute incompetence and lack of internal controls. Once our last open checks have cleared I hope to NEVER deal with this bank again.

      This bank lost a customer since I filed a dispute about punkcase not sending me the phone cases I order and ameris told me since the company would not answer them back that I can not get my money back when I did not receive my order so the company stole my money and the bank is not backing me up and supporting the company that stole my money such a horrible bank

      Not for Veterans!Ameris bank refused my online application with a cryptic "application denied, email to follow" message. The email had no info other than "we denied you, please call us for details".I called and was told that I "don't meet online risk profile". No one there could explain further. The first ****** told me this was from their security department and he didn't know what it meant. I asked to speak to the security department and was denied.I explained that I am a veteran with medical issues that prevent me from coming into a branch office and they had no way to open an account for me. Thanks for my service, I guess.

      This bank has the worst costumer service ever. They do not care about anyone or anything but getting money. I had a credit card with them for the past 9 years... interest free and then they decide out of the blue to add interest. Who in their right mind does that? No notice, no anything. I called and they were beyond dismissive and rude. I have closed all of my account.... business and personal. Shame on you.

      On 9/1/23 Ameris Fraud Center sent me a fraud alert text message. I called immediately. Card canceled and dispute started. At exactly 90 days I'm informed that "no error occurred " and that I should call the store where the purchase was made. I called yhe store and was informed that since I don't have an account that the purchase can not be investigated. Short story, I'm out $328. You have no security at Ameris. As soon as I can, I'll close all my accounts.

      unprofessional and rude will lead you on for months making excuses wont return emails for weeks, will have you pay off debit that doesn't even help get you financed. worst bank ever

      An extra payment for my car was added without my knowledge and no reason was given for it. I AND MY FAMILY WILL NEVER EVER FINANCE ANYTHING THROUGH THIS CORRUPT COMPANY.

      I recently opened an account with Ameris after trying 3 times to schedule an appointment with another bank, to no avail. I walked in to Ameris, got to meet with someone within 15 minutes, and I opened a business account that day. They have been extremely helpful with every interaction. Switching to Ameris relieved a lot of stress with my banking tasks and I am very happy with them. So pleased, I have now opened a personal account as well.
      Services I use: Business & personal account, online banking and bill pay.
