I've been a subscriber to mailchimp's services for approximately ************************************** to my account so I contacted their support team. They said one of our login accounts has been breached and they restricted access to the account until they could conduct an investigation and coordinate with me. I have done everything they've asked and it's now been one full week and I still do not have access to my account. Their support team has stopped responding to me. They are holding all of our customer data and contact info. I do not have access to this vital data. Also, they locked me out of my account during a vital selling period for my business, damaging our sales and reputation.Initial Complaint

I ordered an account from **********************. I attempted to access the website to make updates.. I literally was signing in with my username and password to change the account email. The account email and phone I can no longer access because of another provider. I literally sent domain verification and other information eight times so far to support. there is no phone support, and they wont get me back into my website even though they are literally being emailed from the email address from the domain i purchased. I just want to get out of their company and put my website somewhere else, because this has been going on for days.Initial Complaint

Their product has literally stopped functioning. The email open rate for our email campaigns used to range from 50% to 90% until 4/28/2023. However, starting from 5/1/2023, the rate drastically dropped to below 10%, typically ranging from 4% to 6%.We became aware of the issue on 5/6/2023 and reached out to their support. They informed us that we simply needed to reauthenticate our domain, and we completed the process on 5/7/2023. This action somewhat improved the situation. Following the reauthentication of the domain, the open rate for emails sent on 5/7/2023 increased to 27%-35%. Although it was an improvement, it still fell significantly short of our previous rate of 50%-90%. On 5/7/2023, 10 hours after sending the email campaigns that day, I contacted their support, who insisted that we should wait at least 24 hours and assured us that the open rate would return to its previous level due to the domain reauthentication. They also assured us that no further checks or actions were required. Now, over four days have passed, and the open rate remains below 35%. Today, I reached out to their support again and was connected with a representative named ***** at 12:55:38 (GMT+0). She immediately attempted to make me go away claiming there was a worldwide issue with Mailchimp, without even attempting to understand our specific situation. When I explained what was happening, she continued to insist, saying, We can't force anyone to open emails. All we can do is make sure they were sent out. And everything else within the account is set up correctly. Such as email authentication. Other than this we have no control over who does and who doesn't open an email sent out.She was unable to explain why we consistently achieved an open rate of 50%-90% and seemed intent on dismissing our concerns by suggesting that our customers had stopped opening our emails. Furthermore, she was unwilling to escalate our issue for further assistance.Initial Complaint

I cancelled service with mailchimp years ago. I keep getting an annual charge anyway. I gave taken this up with ************ my credit card provider and I have disputed the charge and blocked it several times. I do not want to cancel my card and get another one just because they refuse to take no for an answer. I am retired now, and I have time on my hands to start taking more serious action. I will also be filing a complaint with the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION. I will also start investigating other legal remedies that includes seeking damages for harassment. I JUST WANT THEM TO LEAVE ME ALONE! I am sorry I ever used their service.Initial Complaint

Hello. I recently learned that MailChimp is freely using my stolen intellectual property (and that of millions of others) as a business asset via "ChatGPT," an artificial intelligence tool. This tool was made by OpenAI, a company that is violating intellectual property rights on a nationwide (and global) scale. OpenAI (OpenAI.com) provides software named ChatGPT, which is software that generates text as though a human created it. The tool was built with data from a conglomerate of stolen copyrighted articles, internet posts, web pages, and books scraped from 60 million domains (including mine) over a period of 12 years and more. TechCrunch reports this data includes copyrighted material from **** The New *********** Reddit, the full text of online books, and more.Anyone who ever published anything on the Internet anywhere, therefore, has had pieces of their content illegally collected, distributed, and sold to people using this tool. Further, the ************* **************** recently ruled that non-human expression is ineligible for copyright protection. So for those who wish to simply copy and paste the results of this tool, this new ruling means everything they create with it becomes public domain material. The company is basically taking copyrighted material and putting it into the public domain, stripping their rights away, and making millions from people who never see a dime from it.OpenAI additionally serves a global audience. That means the company is selling ******** intellectual property and citizen PII to foreigners and foreign governments. I would like to see a written commitment here, on the BBB website, from you, that you will immediately intervene the use of this software in your institution, as it infringes on my intellectual property rights as a writer and privacy rights as an ********.Initial Complaint

I noticed yesterday March 8th 2023 that my account would not open. I then reached out to Mailchimp by email because they said I need a paid account in order to call them. I attached proof below that I have a paid account and they are not fulfilling their end of the agreement. Today I received an email saying my account was closed due to inactivity even though just last month I send a newsletter. The email below from Arty is one of their staff telling me to create a new account due to inactivity and yet I received another email saying that I would be charged in March for the use of their software. As a paid use they have closed my account without reason and they have not fulfilled their duty as a company since they took payment and did not provide services guaranteed such as telephone or chat support, or the use of their system. I would like my account recovered and if that is not done, I want to see proof that they have closed my account, removed my financial information and I will not be billed again.Initial Complaint

I had a paid account with Mailchimp from April 2020 to Dec. 2022. I went down to basic/unpaid in December, and moved to substack. I'm trying to send the url for my completed campaigns from mailchimp to substack, and it won't allow me. Further, their customer service will NOT give me tech support unless I once again become a paid subscriber, though I paid over $200 in the course of two years and never asked for any help. I'd like a file with a copy of each campaign URL that I can move to substack. (not a report). I spoke to two people (they only have a sales department) and the first said if I got my subscribers down to under 500 the url's would work. But they didn't and the two subsequent sales people offered no help other than to tell mer 1) they won't give me access to my content, and 2) they won't give me access to my content unless I pay for tech support.
