An utter scam. Purchased 2 gift cards one for $200 and another for $50. Both emailed to me. Right away I was told the cards were locked and to contact customer **********************. I did and they told me the e gift cards were compromised and that I would receive a paper check in the mail in 30 DAYS. They said that they can't reissue the cards and they can't send me any type of email confirmation stating this. However, they asked for an email address to further communicate if need be... huh? A total scam. Beware!

I purchased a gift card at ******** and put 500$ on it and it didn't work. I contacted customer service and I keep getting the same customer service rep and right away he told me my card needed to be replaced because ny card had been compromised and there was detected fraud. so said he canceld my current card I had bought and said they would send me a new one in the mail as long as I would send in my documents. so here I am now waiting for a replacement card to be mailed but I have a feeling I won't be getting anything. I am ready to call my lawyer and take action with this. This isn't right. I will sue this company if I have to.

I purchased a vanilla prepaid card which is provided by this company. The second it was activated all the money was taken and the company refuses to do anything to get the money back or prevent this from happening in the future. They told me that it is not their problem or fault if people steal ******* dont bother supporting them.A company that wont stand behind their own product is worthless.

InComm runs the mybalancenow ****/Mastercard gift-card platform sold through ******. A growing body of reviews, call recordings and internal notes reveals a repeatable four-step playbook aimed at trapping funds, not redeeming them.1. Automated fraud flag Brand-new cards are instantly frozen; the site shows ON HOLD Card Compromised and forces buyers to phone mybalancenow/InComm.2. Refund-check promise Agents refuse to unlock the cards and promise a paper refund check in 710 business days, issuing a claim number to appear helpful.3. Stall and escalate When no check arrives, support adds one new requirement per follow-up: confirm address, submit receipt, send photo ID, even provide a notarised affidavit. Each hurdle is revealed only after the previous deadline passes, restarting the clock.4. Chargeback evasion These rolling delays push victims beyond the 6090 day dispute windows for ******, **** and banks. Many give up, leaving InComm with both the card balance and the activation fee.Damage at scale Targets page for the $200 **** card shows 77 % one-star reviews, all citing on hold cards and refund checks that never arrive. BBB complaints mirror the pattern. Class-action filings against InComm, Pathward and **** over Vanilla gift cards describe the same tactics. Why it matters This is not ordinary poor service: It earns float income on trapped balances. It harvests sensitive ID documents from desperate consumers. It shifts reputational risk onto retailers that dismiss the product as final sale.Until InComm offers immediate electronic refunds or functional replacements and discloses every documentation demand at claim opening, its gift cards remain unsafe for the public.

company arbitrarily decides your card is compromised and puts it on hold refusing to let you use the money you were gifted, and god forbid you call to get assistance you'll just get a foreign call center who's sole incentive seems to be to jerk you around for as many months as possible in the hopes you forget they owe you money i suppose. just tell your family members to give cash, this is not worth the headache and risk and just overall annoyance associated with it. if you're going to have the gall to become a company in the business of handling people's money maybe handle it with care enough to waste our time.

Total Scam! I received a Vanilla Gift Card from my daughter. The card was used at some market in *****, I live in the United Stated and I received a letter that based on the evidence provided they are unable to approve the *********** have to wonder who is making these decisions or allowing the card information to be accessed.

I purchased a ************ Gift Card and loaded $100 onto it. Recently, I noticed transactions on the card that I did not recognize or authorize. I submitted a fraud case on April 15, 2025, which is now under review.Since the case was filed, my card has been frozen, and I am unable to use the remaining balance of $41. This is money I still have a right to access, and I urgently need to use it.I have attempted to contact customer ********************** multiple times by calling the number listed for support. However, it is a fully automated system that does not provide any option to speak to a live representative or escalate the issue. I even tried pressing zero, but the call simply ends. There is no email or live chat support either.I have no way to speak with a human to understand the status of my case or to request a temporary hold removal so I can access my legitimate funds. The lack of proper customer ********************** and the fact that I am being locked out of my own money for months while waiting for an estimated resolution date of July 14, 2025, is unacceptable. I am requesting immediate assistance from a real representative to either:Allow temporary access to the $41 balance during the investigation, or Expedite the review and release my funds as soon as possible. This situation is stressful, frustrating, and unfair. Please escalate this and have someone contact me directly to resolve this issue.

I received a $100 gift card as a gift. This card was purchased with cash at the ********, ** Target store.I checked my balance on **************** and it shows a zero balance. Somehow, this card was used at a ******* store in *******. I live in ********* and did not use this card in *******. Interesting that they require the purchase of the card via cash only but would allow the card be used without using the actual card. And how would the 3 digit code by known? There was also an unsuccessful use in **********. I notified InComm that this card amount was stolen. They responded to my claim by only saying that they have closed the dispute on this card. They did not explain what type of investigation, if any, was completed on the card, but you would clearly see that I did not use the card. I asked them to review the case, but the email address I was provided by their Customer ********************** agent was not valid. I would prefer a cashier's check for the scammed $100.
