I booked a stay at Red Roof's subsidiary Hometowne Studios in Atlanta/Chamblee. When we arrived, the property looked decent if not in need of a little TLC but I just needed a clean room to lay my head for the night. When my husband and I entered the room, the lights were on and it smelled a little funky but we overlooked it and promptly got ready to lay down after a long day of driving. Shortly after laying down, my husband got up and turned on the lights to find roaches running everywhere! At this point the front desk had closed for the night and there was no one available in customer service to assist me but I knew I couldn't stay. I spoke to the reservations team letting them know of my issue and begged them to atleast email the property so there was a record of my complaint and me leaving. Afterward we grabbed our bags, left the key cards on the table, and exited the room. On the way out, I ran into an employee and asked if he could assist me in checking out but he said he couldn't because the front desk was closed. He wasn't surprised to hear there were roaches in the room and agreed we should get our money back. The next day, the office manager left me a voice-mail apologizing and assuring me she would refund my credit card. I attempted to call her back several times but she never took my calls or called me back. After a week, I reached out to customer service for help. They confirmed that the room rate had not been refunded and stated they'd have to reach out to the property. They kept reaching out and escalating, assuring me I'd have a response within 48 hours each time but one never came. Finally over two weeks after my experience at the hotel they agreed to refund me via PayPal and said it would take 1 business day to receive. Over a business day later and surprise surprise I still don't have my refund. I will make sure I get my money back and I will NEVER do business with a ***** motel like red roof again. Buyer beware!

False Advertising ....a rundown hotel for sure....they apparently don't care about their clients.
