    In September 2021 I applied for the Second Chance program and moved into my new apartment. I have recently moved out of that apartment and I cannot get my $455.00 security deposit back because the landlord is saying that the financial records that were given to them shows as ***************** Now, all emails and phone calls made to ************************* is going unanswered and the apartment complex is bound by law to hold onto the money because the check needed to be made out to **************** and not my name which I am the one that paid for the deposit

    I was told this was a second chance program helping people like myself who has mediocre credit to get an apartment. Unfortunately I was lied to several times and I was never refunded my $450 move in fee. Nor was I refunded two applications fees of $75 each.

    I am forced to file another complaint against Luxe Corporate Living/Interiors by Lamar and Mr. ************************** I filed a complaint on February 9, 2023, and heard from ************** on February 10, 2023. I obtained their services for an apartment in ********, ** that I moved into in September 2020. I paid him $1880 in August of 2020 and then another $1880 in August 2021. The last communication that I received from ************** was May 2022. When I tried to correspond in October 2022, all emails bounced back. When I tried to call, the phone number was no longer in service. According to the apartment complex that I was living in, all final paperwork and the return of my security deposit is required to be returned to the company. However, that $1870 security deposit came out of my pocket, along with the funds I had previously sent to **************, and my monthly rent. After my first complaint, ************** contacted me and when I explained the situation, he said he understood and would send me the refund upon receipt. I have since sent ************** 7 emails with no response. The law in CA is that security deposits be returned within 21 days of leaving the property. That means that my security deposit was sent to ************** on February 3, 2023. I have given ample time for the check to be forwarded to ************** from his old address and have given him ample warning that I would be having an attorney contact him, as this is a substantial amount of money and is causing me extreme grief and multiple sclerosis flare **** I had to take out a loan to move and now I am in arrears because I didn't receive my money back and ************** refuses to respond or provide me with further information. I have no further course of action other than a lawsuit, since he has officially branded himself a thief.

    I used Luxe Corporate Living as a means to acquire a lease on an apartment in September 2020. I stopped receiving communication from them May 6, 2022. I then moved out of the apartment on January 14, 2023. Since I used their service, my apartment complex sent any paperwork and my security deposit refund to them. I have yet to hear back, all of their emails bounce back and the phone numbers that I was provided are no longer in service.
