      Just DON'T with Earthlink. They operate like scammers. Unless you enjoy making calls to customer service all the time to inquire about strange fees, overcharges, and other ways they try to take your money. ****************.

      I called to set up service with this company but decided after 1 hour to cancel. Spoke with someone and explained I no longer need it and to please cancel. I was told I would still have to pay *****. 4 days later I get a text that equipment is being delivered. Again I called only to wait 45 minutes on phone and to be told that I am responsible for equipment and may be charged 400. I this point I am convinced of the **** and called the credit card company. If you use this company you will be defrauded as there are many bad reviews.

      Hello Mr. ********************* sincerely apologize to Mr. ********* for the experience he has had from his initial attempt to cancel his account, to the refund process, and the modem shipment issue. This situation should never have escalated to this point. His account should have been canceled during the first call, the modem should not have been shipped, and the processing fee should have been refunded promptly. 
      As of now, I have officially canceled Mr. ********** account and issued a refund of $39.95 to the card on file. A return label has also been sent to his email. If the modem is delivered, we kindly ask that he print the label and return the modem using the provided shipping instructions.

      I haven't even managed to get my internet service installed and I already regret my decision. Installation date keeps changing. 3 weeks and counting.

      Hello Ms. ******************** apologize for the issues Ms. ******** has experienced with the changing installation dates. At this time, I do see that her installation is scheduled for July 15, 2025, between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. 
      In light of the frustration caused by the repeated delays, Ive applied a $10.00 monthly discount to her internet plan for the next 12 months. While I know this doesnt fully make up for the inconvenience, I want to do what I can to show we value her as a customer and appreciate her patience.

      I was told that it takes 2-3 business days for my equipment to arrive and I still haven't received my equipment or any tracking information and no one in customer service is able to help answer any questions about my order.

      Hello Ms. ******************* apologize that Ms. ******* was informed her modem would arrive within 23 business days, but the delivery has taken longer than expected. Upon review, I see that the modem was shipped from our warehouse on July 10, 2025, and is scheduled to be delivered by *** on July 14, 2025.

      Earthlink is a shady company at best. They do not return calls. They ask for a call back number but do not call back. They shipped me a modem-nothing else. Charged $39.95. No instructions for installing. Will not answer phone or call back. Stay away!

      This company is an internet service provider but they sub-contract out internet to other established companies that are actual primary service providers like ***** They charge additional fees to make a profit and then gradually increase your monthly fees with no clear communication or warnings. These services are advertised through leasing websites and residential management apps so that new tenants, especially those moving from out-of-town with less information on service options, fall prey to their predatory tactics. These types of companies provide no added benefit to society and simply prey on the unsuspecting or uninformed. DO NOT contract with this company, you gain no benefit and always DO have the option of just contracting with **** or ******* or T-Mobile directly, Earthlink will make it seem like you can't and they are your only choice which should be considered fraud.

      Hello Mr. ******************* EarthLink does partner with third-party vendors for both infrastructure and technical support. However, the internet service itself is provided by EarthLink, not the vendor. I apologize to Mr. **** for any confusion this may have caused. 
      To avoid any potential misunderstanding in the future, we encourage customers to research available services in their area. We also recommend visiting the *** website (*******************) to verify which providers and services are available at their location.

      No stars I was told that I would get the equipment in 1 to 3 business days I ordered the equipment on June 30th it is now July 4th not going to receive it until Monday plus try to charge me to activate service when a real internet company doesn't charge to start using the service

      They are the worst internet providers I have ever used for went with ********* for less and locked in for 5 yrs. Earth link said they lock you in but lied bill went up in 3 months over $13.00 not to be trusted walk away

      EARTHLINK GETS NO STARS FROM ME!!! I called in to Spectrum since that is the service I have! A ***( can't even call him a gentleman) took my call and said he was with Spectrum. I told him the issue I was having with my internet service. He told me that since I had been a long time Spectrum customer that he could offer me the ******************** for less money and more speed. Fiber optic internet with 1000 speed more durable etc. I told the *** that I wanted my TV and home phone to stay the same. I NEVER SIGNED ANY CONTRACT!! My connection was not that great! I called the special number that I was given to call and get the same ***, to get a WiFi extender. Oh and I do have his name too!! He was supposed to send an extender in the mail. Never received! The next thing I noticed was that I was not getting all the channels on my TV anymore!! The *** told me nothing would change with my TV!! Not true! I continued to call the special number to reach the same *** and nothing was solved! I called the same *** on 6/13 and guess what no *** anymore!! Now I get EarthLink!!! So what happened to my special ***** Who knows?? Bottom line this whole thing was a scam to get me to switch to EarthLink. Now if I wanted to switch to EarthLink don't you think I would call EarthLink directly to change my service?? This is only parts of the story but it is too long to type!! After a 1000 round abouts I wanted to cancel my service! Oh so now I am informed that there would be an early termination fee( ETF) of $200! I did not even know what *** stood for!! By email I was told to set up an EarthLink account to see my bill. I NEVER SET UP AN ACCOUNT BECAUSE AT THE VERY TOP OF THE PAGE FOR ME TO MAKE A LOGIN AND PASSWORD THERE WAS A SMALL BOX FOR ME TO CHECK TELLING ME ABOUT THE ***** I I did not proceed any further when I saw that statement which I never agreed too I NEVER CHECKED THE BOX nor did I make an account!! Story continues but I will run out of room!! ******** was of no help!!!

      Earthlink is a middleman company that uses real Internet providers infrastructure. They also contract other internet provider's personnel to install and maintain service. In my area. ******** is the worst internet provider with no reviews rating above 1 star. The Earthlink **** assured me that if I signed a contract with them that I would not be provided internet for Frontier Fiber. I signed a contract with the assurance that I would not be receiving internet for ********. That was a lie and Earthlink is the middleman for Frontier, charging double of what Frontier would charge, with extremely horrible Frontier internet service. All of the 5-star ratings for Earthlink must be fake or they use better internet providers in other areas to be the middleman for internet service. Do yourself a favor and go directly to the internet providers in your area that own and maintain internet service.

      Hello Mr. ***************** ****** was informed during the sales call that EarthLink uses Frontiers infrastructure, but the internet is that of EarthLink. Mr. ****** did not express any objections to Frontier at that timeonly frustration with his previous provider, ********
