    I had a scan done on January 16, 2024 at American Health Imaging. They made me pay $350.63 upfront for this and said they would file with my insurance. It took them over 4 months to file with my insurance. Once they filed, the insurance paid the claim and I only owed $81.13. I have called them numerous times requesting the refund of $269.50, and am being told each time that it will be refunded to the card I used at the visit. It has still. not been done. I have called them on 3 different occasions at this point. I tried calling again today and the number to the billing department just keeps hanging up.

    Before I went to get my MRI, the receptionist verified that they were in network, a week before my appointment and then made sure that I didn't have a copay. She stated that I met my out of packet, therefore I didn't have to pay anything. And we both double checked again in person, prior to me going back for my imaging. A month later, I was billed over eight thousand dollars because they are now saying Humana was out-of-network. I called the billing office and they said also that they were in-network and didn't know why I was being billed for that crazy amount. Someone was going to look into it and I would receive a call in 30 days. I didn't get a call, just another bill saying I am still out-of-network. Looking into it more, they are in fault of the new Transparency in Coverage Law. One, they didn't go over my coverage prior to imaging and second, they choose a doctor that was not in network with my insurance, even though they are saying the company is. They made the decision to tell me that they were in network but billed me out of network. My insurance company state they do not have a contract with them. They are out of network with HUM. They summitted the claims twice, out-of-network and then in-network, knowing it would be the some result. This is Insurance Fraud!

    I had an MRI done on 6/16/23 at the ************** location . I had MRI Abdomen and Pelvis with and without contrast done . I told the male MRI tech to begin with if any moment was detected to abort the scan as I didnt want to have done. He had to stick me twice to get a vein and told me I had bad veins, then he flushed my IV line four times with saline which is uncalled for , no need to flush it that many times, the call button didnt work during the exam to let him know my IV was burning during the test cause the machine pulled the tape as the table moved me in and out several times. The test ended and he told me there was no motion on the exam and everything was great and good pictures . I received the report and stated limited study due to motion and patients weight , he lied and if I was too large for the scanner test should not been preformed and I should be made aware. I have to have the study done somewhere else now because of the tech error. He seems like he was off the street with no experience. I am demanding $5,000 to avoid a legal case against the company

    9-16-2022...*********************************This complaint is in regards to MRI service done on 7-20-2022 for a NON filed Bill needed from American Health Imaging to my Cigna health ***************** at ****************************************************** ********************. I Paid AMI $529 at this visit. They were supposed to file claim to Cigna so I could get credit with ***** towards my deductible for year. (Note: AMI refers to American health imaging)To date we (My health care processor and I or I have had multiple phone calls )--NOTE: at the actual visit to AMI at their *********************. ********** ** location, COPIES of my now and then current insurance card were made.1-. First week of August 2022 Called American health imaging. This Representative asked me multiple questions and told me that she electronically filed claim during our call. 2. August 11th or about. Claim had not been received by Cigna. My insurance provider called them and was told claim had NOT in fact been filed and that it would in next **** days. 3. Checked in again with ***** and still no claim received. Called AMI , I was told claim had been filed.(false info) This was about August 18th.4. Called again on or about August 27th. Still no claim received by ***** and with phone call to AMI was told claim had been filed 3 times.5. sept 16th. Called Cigna processor of claims (corporate benefits aka 90 degree benefits) and still no claim received from AMI.We (**** -rep for insurance processor and my self made another 3 way call to AMI billing ****** 1st talked to *****, she put us on hold for 15mins and never came back. So ****-Rep and my self made another 3 way call back to AMI billing and got ******. After a considerable amount of repeated words from all the other prior phone calls we found that claim has not even been filed. Insurance rep and myself went through the same information asked all other phone calls over the last 6 weeks.A COPY OF MY INS CARD WAS MADE AT 7-20-22 VISIT.???
