1 starYou know how when tragedy strikes, you find out who your real friends are? Well, the same can be said about businesses.We have been a customer with ***** for 31 years. About three years ago, we had them do a bat-proof job for our attic. We paid about $2,000. They returned in this year to inspect to make sure it's still keeping the bats out. The ***** person said he found places that had never been sealed, but, hey, it's out of warranty so you'll have to pay again. So, let me get this straight, you missed areas but we need to pay. OK, that's $2,000 gone. So, we had them do it again (bad judgement on my part) but this time it was $3,000. A month after the work, we had a historic hail storm, tennis ball size hail. It destroyed our roof, car, siding, garage doors, patio, gutters and windows. I called Orkin because I was pretty sure what they had done a month earlier was destroyed. They came and said, yup, it's destroyed and, what's more, you put on a new roof so the warranty is not valid. Yes, I put on a new roof because it was utterly destroyed. Too bad, it will now cost $3,200 to ****. Now here is the kicker (actually one of the many kickers). We hadn't even paid for the job yet. We went with the financing from the ***** affiliate and the first payment was not due until June 18. OK, let me get this straight. I paid $2,000 for no reason, then I paid $3,000 for a job that got destroyed and now I have to pay $3,200 more. The guy doing the estimate said he would talk to THE MANAGER about maybe getting under the warranty. Yeah, no.I then emailed the **** person who had coordinated the job this year and asked him if he could help me. He said he would forward my email to THE MANAGER and get back to me. Yeah, didn't happen.I tried calling THE MANAGER but she wouldn't take or return my call.If I could give minus 100 I would. This is a terrible way to treat anyone, much less a customer for 31 years.Review fromKim F

1 starHeres your warning, do NOT use Orkin. They may have been a number one company once, but all they do now is try to push to get you into a monthly plan. For the first time in our 30 years at our home we started having an ant problem. We called Orkin for a single application which they said would take care of the ants. They did the application and said if we saw anything within a month we could call and they would repeat the application. We saw more ants a couple of weeks later and called. They did a second application. About a week and a half after the second application, the ants were back inside and outside the house. They came back and the guy treated outside the house and just left. Never came back inside. I complained to Orkin and got a call from a guy who then tried to guilt trip me on the phone about how much of their own money they were spending on our job and how they were nice enough to come out for the third application. Imagine, they did three applications when they told me one would do, I paid to have the pest eradicated, but they were being nice by coming out again spending their money . BUT . (heres where the other shoe drops) if I wanted to sign up for a monthly service they would be happy to do it. Thats their goal folks. They are NOT going to fix your problem up front because then they cant make more money. They are going to do a half-assed job and then claim you need a $90 a month service. Its all a scam in my opinion and my recommendation is run away from these shysters as fast as you can. Note that on their web site, you cant leave a review. Their customer testimonials are hand-picked to make them look good. They wouldnt dare allow customers to post real-time and let everyone see what they really do.Review fromChiquita M

I have had the most aggravating experience with ***** pest control. I have had the service provided once before and there was problem as I was able to receive the service once and have it cancelled. On the intial call I was told that I was able and responsible to pay bill upon receiving the service and if I were not happy with the service I could call and someone will come out and retreat my house. After the intial service and paying 106 in cash I called back because I didn't see a change. The same tech who had told me to call, came out and put a treatment down in areas where I noticed he had not the first time. In about two weeks another tech came to my door unexpectedly, I told him I would not allow him into my home because I did not have the money to pay for the service and would let them know when I could afford it. From that point on I started to receive hassling phone calls. Even after I stated that I would not longer like to receive them. If I am told that payment is due upon service and I don't receive the service how can I owe you anything. ***** is a scam to take people money and the service is not as good as they say it is and I would like them to stop pestering me. They are more a big than the bugs they claim to exterminate. Theirain gold is to get people to give them their card number so they can charge for unwanted, unneeded and unsolicited services. Hard as things are for people today I think companies like this should be boycotted and run out of business!Rollins, Inc.

1 starAfter 20 years of service. Were very rudew to me and refused to help me with my problem. Would not have taken much to fix. But refused to help me. Even yelled at me on the phone. As long as you pay them with no complaints. They are freindly. But don't have an issue with their service. I am done with Orkin.Review fromBETTIE D

They came out first time and the technician opened doors and sprayed the solution into the air...no corners. I had to call a second time. Technician sprayed outside only. Took $500 from me and did not complete work. Have called the local franchise. Ive called the one 800 number. No one seems to have any care in calling me back or making things right. Would never recommend this business do not useRollins, Inc.

Beware this manipulative company! This company will try to trick you into a recurring service agreement. We had spiders and other bugs in our home. The two service pros who came out were fine. But the second told me at the time we were seeing spiders due to renovations and it would resolve once the walls were closed up. He clearly stated there was nothing further the company can do for me, and to sign the contract to confirm the case was resolved. Fast forward a month later, I get a surprise visit from a pro who says I've signed an agreement for a year of services! After looking at the agreement again, sure enough, that little piece was hidden in one paragraph at the bottom of the third page. Completely dishonest and deceptive behavior.Rollins, Inc.

Had Orkin Free Termite inspection, ******* was courtious, respectful and knowledgeable. He explained what he was looking for and did a thurough inspection. Fortunatly it was just ants, so he did not pressure me to sell anything or do treatment. He shared with me what services ***** has to offer. He even told me they at the higher end of pricing and I told him that it has been my experience that you get what you pay for. Recomend Orkin to inspect your home and understand what is and is not nessasary for your home!Rollins, Inc.

Although I felt that the initial inspection was thorough, I was told my guesthouse had no termite activity. This was later found to be untrue. I was assured by multiple ***** employees that the treatment chemicals used were safe for humans and pets and only being used in the attic and behind the walls ********************** However, during the attic treatment, I experienced a severe allergic reaction, including eye burning, throat tightness, muscle spasms, stomach pain, weakness, and headache. I had to leave my home mid-treatment and when I returned home around 7pm I began experiencing the same symptoms and made the decision to stay in a hotel overnight due to the intensity of the reaction. When I returned the following morning after my hotel stay, I discovered chemical solution on the ground and on some of my personal clothing, despite being told the treatment would only occur in walls and the attic. This is unacceptable. I spoke with the service area manager, ***** *******, a few days later and he was dismissive and simply DID NOT CARE. The following day someone came by to relocate a bait station, and when I explained my concerns and experience with the treatment he asked me if my A/C duct system was in my attic, to which I responded "yes". He told me that in the future I should turn off my A/C system during treatment and for a few hours following treatment something I was never told, and which likely worsened my reaction as the chemicals circulated through my home. During the treatment of my attic, the technician wore a mask, but since I was at home working, I was breathing in the chemicals the entire time I was there. This is a huge oversight and had I known this, I would've turned off the a/c and avoided all this mess. I called ***** twice after finding this out, and he was away from his desk both times, and when I left a message with his office administrator, I never received a call back. I only heard back after I sent a formal complaint to Orkin.Rollins, Inc.

The manager had reviewed the standard service and explained to Ms. ********* that the two products used in her home ********* and Termidor SC. He advised her that Orkin will not be refunding the cost of the service or hotel expenses and apologized for her not feeling well. I contact Orkin because i purchased and old house in the ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************ that i had a problem with bats ,of course I wanted to rid my home of the rodents i was given a price for over ******************************************************************************************************************************************************* that is is a hole that needs to be blocked to stop the entry of the squirrels from being able to get into my attic i have asked to talk to the manager ******** who promised me she would look into the problem and call me back she never returned my call and every time i call she is never in the office i feel like i am being taken advantage of and ignored with my complaints that i have paid to have taken care of i even asked to speak to the manager that's over ******** seeking help and still i have not receives any type of feed back FROM ORKIN I am very frustrated waking up to the sounds of rodents running in the attic I feel like a prisoner in my own home Orkin did not have a problem taking my money but they are not keeping there word to the customer I will continue to call until the issue is solved if i am continue to be i ignored i will contacting legal action for a small claim reimbursement of my money so i can find another pest control company that values there cutomers Thank you FRUSTRATED UNHAPPY CUSTOMER WHO JUST WANTS WHAT SHE PAID FORRollins, Inc.
