I have spent $***** on professional photography I was only given a look on the wall at the pictures it looked fine from the 20 sec look and I paid never had a problem before with modeling pictures my daughter has been a model for 6 years we took a year off and just went back and never heard anything about this before because we had agency do the photos we never paid so I dont know how much they should charge? But to my shock when I drove home 6 hrs I downloaded the pictures every picture was bad lights or marks on her check and face very bad I called many times they said they would fix they fixed one and said nothing else wrong after I was told they agreed with me they would fix then a week later they say nothing is wrong and they would not give me money back they said I have to drive back and retake after talking to my husband he said I was not going to get any professionally photos from this company I should not have to drive back they need to fix these already paid for pictures well they acted like they see nothing wrong I reported this to someone at another office same business they agreed they needed to fix but they just hung up on me and would laugh when I asked for *** they would say who *****? I would say *** and spell it out they would say oh **** just **** g up a name so never getting the *** lady that took the money. Then I got a letter they would not be responding or retaken anyway. I am going to get a lawyer after I see they have been getting way more money from others for same reasons I didnt pay them The $6000 they had tried but thank goodness I didnt but still took ***** of my money I cant send 1 of those pictures to a agent its so bad I would post so you could see the lights are 99% off and no touch up was done. In May of 2024, we paid ***** refundable fee for a photo session at soul studios. After photos were taken, we sat in a room with a woman who went over photos. We were pressured into giving another ****** in cash to continue. We were told an amount we had to pay every month for "mentoring" , a card and a website. Within a week of getting photos, I contacted them through email to let them know that all we wanted were the pics and we did not want anymore "services" from soul studios. Then I was informed we signed a legally binding contract and that once we walked out the door, we could not change our minds. They offered to lessen the amount and that was not agreeable to us. They still took over ****** out of our account in June. I informed them that due to hardship we are not able to pay anymore. It is so sad that companies like this prey on people with dreams. Looking back, the whole thing felt like a scam and I do not want others to fall for this. I understand people need to make money but to make someone feel like they are so special and then try to make them pay for more than pics is so sad. There FB page is not open for comments or posts. We do not have buyers remorse there is just no value in what they are offering but they make it seem like it. The fact they later tell you that you can not change your mind once you leave should tell everyone to do just that. I now wish we had.Business Response

The date was around the end of January when I made this transaction. Like most people I discovered this entire company is a SCAM. It is sickening how they misuse their power. I am a college student who is trying to take another turn in life. I found this company through instagram (like most) and saw you only had to pay a $50 refundable deposit. I pick the date and do the shoot. The consultant brings me filling my head with everything I wanted to hear. So she manipulates me into signing a contract and I pay a deposit. After realizing the fact this disgusting company ran a scam on me I decided to stop paying altogether. My bank even stopped taking their payments on their own because they detected fraudulent. Now theyre threatening me about turning me in to debt collectors which I rebuke this will NEVER HAPPEN. I WILL DO EVERY IN MY POWER TO MAKE SURE OF IT. I paid $50 "refundable" deposit for a photo shoot with company named 'Soul Studios'. They promise to refund deposit once shoot is complete. They have some female rep from ******** call and give basic details on how process will go. I go and do shoot and all goes well, until end. A guy brings me in office & says packages to promote my photos & put me "out there" to agencies for a career starts at $4000. Knowing the avg person does not have this I give $100 card payment only for photos I've taken that day. *** named ******* vaguely skims over a contract on a projector screen without going into any significant detail. Because of this I ask for copy of.contract to review myself. I NEVER receive this. In addition he forcefully says he's going to "keep my card on file" without my permission saying so. After few days I wait on refund and ask reps via email only to be told my refundable deposit went towards the $4000 package. This was not disclosed up front! I also am now receiving invoice for a monthly $85 payment in exchange for no services, photos, or contact since the photo shoot altogether. I try to cancel and they say you cant cancel nor reduce contract, EVER. It is a scam and backend money grab. They don't explain details of.contract and they lure you in with faulty career promises & deliver no photos in return. Others have filed class action lawsuits against ******** potentially wish to go this route & at minimum receive compensation for money spent, pain & suffering & void contract.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: it is redundant and lacks depth. I gave him card to process 1 payment, NOT TO SAVE FOR FUTURE PAYMENTS. Who says "I'm just gonna go ahead and save this card" without the clients consent? But furthermore I don't think there was any scenario where I was going to receive my "refundable" deposit back. You guys make up these phantom exceptions to scam people (many ppl who've complained and reported this) and keep their money. Basically fine print finessing. The bigger issue is I have not received any services referrals or anything for my initial $100 charge which was taken by *******. And whichever correspondent is working for you guys from ******** whom kept calling me "honey" has not replied since my initial response of telling her I didn't receive my deposit. Basically none of what I'm saying is news to you, you guys know what you're doing no need in playing dumb. You've been reported as scammers all over the internet & constantly hiding behind this 'you signed a contract' formality knowing full well that information leading up to is misleading, vague, evasive, & frivolous at best. Your entire goal is not to develop talent but to lock ppl into this lifetime financial burden.

I am rejecting this response because: I have not refused any services the only reason Soul Studios have started to communicate. I have not received any service I have documentation show errors in information was provided to follow.As stated I called several time going to automated service and no person picked up the phone.
The customer service was lacking in the beginning
The instructions were incorrect that is why I reached out to ******** for guidance that was not provided.
Return my invested funds no services provided.

I have no Ideal who ICON is I attempt to reach Studio Soul by telephone and automated message no communication. I am not been harassed by Studio Soul txt messages and telephone calls. Not until I file with BBB have they attempted to contact me. The instructions were incorrect and I called several times for assistance but no return calls. I am requesting a refund because no service provided from November 2023 to present date no intention of doing any business with ICON or Studio Soul. Email undelivered bounce back. Rejection for any communication with this fraudulent company i spend additional funds from November to February the mentor failed to provide guidance the telephone calls went unanswered emails undelivered NOT until I filed complaint with BBB did they attempt to put forth efforts to contact me the http does not exist with out https the s added. I had no knowledge of ICON been associated and no funds were spent on my behalf if that was the case I should have been notified and received some form of communication From November to April when complaints file no communication now receiving harassment txt messages and call this would be a hostile environment because I file a complaint with several agencies . This business is completely scam. I initially found them on Instagram for free pictures with deposit of $50. After I went there and took the pictures but I did not like the pictures after I took them and I told him I need to retake the pictures, they decided to charge me $880 even more than the initial agreement of $4000 and $250 a month. So Ill let them know that Im no longer interested on their services. Ill pay for the pictures that I already took even though they were free ! They never told me there is no cancellation or refund. So I contacted my bank and let them know that Im no longer interested on the future transaction with them and I need to dispute the $1250 that I already paid initially. But they let my bank know that there is no cancellation and I cannot cancel for a future scription with them. No Im basically paying monthly for something that they have not gave me no service its a completely scam. They cannot charge me over $5000 for 3-4 pictures even though I canceled it within their timely matter the ask to be canceled. I dont have a job I can no longer afford for a service they did not provided! I cannot continually pay monthly of 250, over five pictures. They need to be stopped. This is on collection on my name messing up my credit over service. They did not provide me the charge me for future transactions which Im no longer interested and I already told them that over the email.The total amount I already paid is 1250 and theyre trying to charge me monthly of 250 for just for pictures that supposed to be free like the ad said on Instagram! I found Soul Studios through an Instagram ad. I applied, was contacted, and was told that I needed to take immediate action due to limited available spots. This pressured me into scheduling an audition due to a sense of perceived urgency. The photo shoot was scheduled for 02/13/24, and to secure my spot, I paid $50 which was promised back to me at the day of the shoot. During the shoot, I asked further questions about the company and they withheld important information. All that I was told was that if they liked me, I would get back my money and they would talk about next steps. If I wasn't a good fit, they promised to send me home with my deposit money. The process of hair, makeup, and the photoshoot itself took approximately three hours, which was ample time for the company to educate me on their practices and intentions, but they did not. Subsequently, I waited in the studio for an hour before getting called into the office where I was forced to make a quick and impulsive decision. Soul Studios employed high-pressure coercion tactics and undermined my informed decision-making through the use of complex language and a sense of urgency. I was taken advantage of because the withholding of information coupled with the manipulative nature of the contract presentation created an imbalance in power between myself and the company. There are also blatant inconsistencies between the contract that I signed and the responses coming from the company. The contract that I signed on 02/13/24 clearly states that I would owe $2000 in total; however, in later correspondence with the company, I was told that the number was now $2500. The fine print of the contract that I signed states, "If the Client cancels the contract, the monies that were paid up to this point will not be refunded. Instead, the Company will credit the money toward further purchases." Upon addressing this, they refused to acknowledge this part of the contract and proceeded to threaten taking me to collections.Business Response

I was living in my SUV when I responded to a casting call on ******** and was invited to shoot at Soul Studios / Icon Studio in Atlanta, GA. I was asked to put down a $50 deposit, and ASSURED that it was only a customary charge that I would be refunded so long as I made my appointment. Upon arrival I was made to use my own clothing, and took a few photos with the in-house photographer, followed up with outdoor shots with my motorcycle. I was told I totally that this could potentially bring me paid work, which would help me in my predicament. After the shoot I was brought to a room with an older blonde woman who had already chosen a number of selects after going through them and showering me with compliments she tries to make me sign a contract agreeing to pay over $3000 for these amateur photos. I wholeheartedly refuse and tell her that I am currently homeless and couldnt possibly afford this service, which up until that very moment had not ONCE been advertised as a Package Purchase worth nearly five thousand dollars. She then starts flashing through the photos, skipping over documents, and says that she can make me a deal. All I would have to do is let them keep my $50 deposit, and then I could choose to pay for a smaller batch of photos at my leisure. Not once was there a notice of a timeline to repay, there was no mention of this affecting my credit, and there was no implication that I was committing to paying $500 for these photos. This woman would not take no for an answer and I agreed to give her my $50 deposit towards these photos so that I could leave before she harassed me further. She told me I could pay in $30 instalments and I thought nothing more of it. Later I lost my job, my home, and moved to ***. My account was overdrawn in the process and months after moving I received notice that I was to pay $200 to settle. After calling and explaining, I was hung up on, with no chance to even pay the ******. I am unemployed, and cannot pay 200 even now.Business Response

Hi My name is ****************** I was called in for a photo shoot that was free of cost but told to put a $50 deposit to book that would be returned later or used if I wanted to buy my photos , after the shoot I was taken in an office and this lady with blonde hair showed me my photos from a screen and begin to flatter me about how Im a natural and they can help me start my modeling career by providing a service package the amount was very high so I told her I couldnt afford it and she started saying I can pay in installments told her I need more time to think she then told me I need to make a decision today if I wanted my photos and pulled a contract that broke down the monthly installment fees I was very hesitant and she just kept scrolling and skimmed through it and then had me sign it without explaining the full details of the contract when it finally got emailed to me I read the contract and was shocked to find out it was a binding contract I emailed them that I wanted to cancel and they said I couldnt do that, I explained everything to them and told them i wasnt aware of all the details of the contract before signing as it wasnt in front of me to read but from a screen and that I no longer needed the photos and didnt want their services and they only replied that I can not cancel and they can change to a different package I told them I only want to cancel and they reported it to my credit this company preys on young people it is a whole scam!! if they ever contact you please dont even bother going there because they will scam you,Business Response
